Albie’s journey began when he was rescued as a puppy from the back of a meat truck in China in 2019, narrowly escaping a tragic fate. Albie spent time recovering with his siblings in quarantine before eventually joining a safehouse in Harbin. In early 2021, he was offered a forever home in the UK, where he has lived in West Yorkshire for nearly four years. However, due to changes in his family’s circumstances and Albie’s anxiety around their new baby, they’ve made the difficult decision to rehome him for his comfort and well-being. Bart is a gentle, timid 9 and half year old male Podenco Cross. He is a large Podenco mix boy with a short tan coat and a slim body. Bart gets along with the other dog in foster called Amora and has always gotten on well with his kennel mates, both in Spain and now in the UK. Buddy is a nervous boy who will need patience and a consistent routine to help build his confidence. He can be fearful when meeting new people and it will take a few meet ups before trust is gained. Billy and Mia are Bodeguero male and female 12 to 18 months old respectively. These 2 beautiful young bodegueros (Spanish jack Russell with longer legs) have silky short tri colour coats, and are a bonded pair. Poor babies have had a poor start to their lives but they love being at the shelter with all the other dogs, and get plenty of fuss from the carers and so their confidence has grown quite a bit. These 2 young dogs were thrown over the fence and both were totally petrified but just after 24 hours they already started to prove just what sweet babies they are. Fast forward a few weeks and they are now, although still quite timid with new people when they initially meet, they are happy and loveable little dogs.
