Albie – 5 year old male Cross-Breed
Albie is a 5-year-old male Cross-Breed, weighing around 13 kg, currently based in Leeds. He is a smaller-sized dog who needs a calm, experienced home without children and cats.
Albie’s journey began when he was rescued as a puppy from the back of a meat truck in China in 2019, narrowly escaping a tragic fate.
Albie spent time recovering with his siblings in quarantine before eventually joining a safehouse in Harbin. In early 2021, he was offered a forever home in the UK, where he has lived in West Yorkshire for nearly four years.
However, due to changes in his family’s circumstances and Albie’s anxiety around their new baby, they’ve made the difficult decision to rehome him for his comfort and well-being.
Albie is a unique mix of East Asian breeds, including Pekingese, Japanese Chin, Pomeranian, Pug, and Shih Tzu. He is naturally anxious, especially around strangers, and needs a quiet, adult-only home where his space and boundaries are respected.
Despite this, he is loving and affectionate with those he trusts. He is house-trained, responds well to training, and enjoys walks with lots of sniffing.
While Albie generally gets along with smaller or female dogs, he shows some reactivity towards larger dogs, especially males. His ideal home would be in a semi-rural or rural setting with a secure garden, where he can feel safe and relaxed.
Albie is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for his new home. He is a sweet, independent dog who thrives with routine and a patient, consistent owner.
