Dave – 6 month old male Cross-Breed

Image

As a young dog, he is still growing and has his whole life ahead of him. He is expected to be medium to large in size when fully grown. Photos of his mother are available, but his father is unknown, so his exact breed mix cannot be confirmed. Early positive experiences with other dogs can help him continue to develop good social skills. Careful introductions and consistent guidance will support him as he settles into a home environment. Image
Macarena is a 6-month-old female Cross-Breed. She is currently in Romania, where she is waiting for the chance to travel along with her two siblings. At the moment, she is still a young puppy with her whole future ahead of her. She is expected to grow to a medium to large size when fully grown. Photos of her mother are available, but her father is unknown. This means her exact breed mix cannot be confirmed, though her future size gives a helpful guide for potential adopters. Macarena is described as dog friendly, which suggests she could happily share her home with another canine companion. Positive interactions with other dogs at a young age are an encouraging sign for her social development. With the right guidance, she should continue to build good dog-to-dog manners. She can live with children aged eight and over. This makes her a suitable option for families with slightly older children who understand how to behave calmly and kindly around a young dog. As with any puppy, supe...

Image
Meet Connie – From Surviving to Thriving Connie is a 2 year old female Puli Cross. Her story began in a public pound, where she grew up in harsh conditions. Pepper – 7 year old female Mioritic Shepherd Dog Cross

Image
Pepper is a 7 year old female Mioritic Shepherd Dog Cross-Breed who is very friendly and affectionate with people and always seeks approval from her humans. She is intelligent, listens to clear instructions, and is quick to learn and eager to please. Walks very well on lead and very much enjoys her walks out in the countryside. She travels well in the car. She has lived with different dogs and, after steady introductions, has lived well with smaller female dogs in her foster home. Pepper is reactive to new dogs she meets while out walking, with barking, growling, and some jumping on her front feet until she understands that the dog is not a threat. She needs clear guidance and communication to help her through this behaviour. Pepper would be very happy to be the only dog in the household but may also share with friendly smaller dogs after slow and steady introductions. Pepper needs an experienced home where there is time and patience to work with her and help her overcome her conce...

Annabel – 8 month old female Cross-Breed

Image
Meet the gentle and affectionate youngster, Annabel. Annabel is an 8 month old female Cross-Breed and is a medium sized girl who has settled well into home life. Annabel is a naturally anxious girl, but her Foster Mum describes her as a sweetheart with a lovely nature. Annabel takes her time getting to know new people, and careful introductions need to be made when there are visitors to the home. She is more reserved around males than females, which is a common trait with Romanian rescues and is usually the result of previous trauma. A female primary caregiver would be advisable for Annabel, and any males in the home would need to understand that extra time and patience will be required to build trust and a relationship with her. Annabel currently lives with another dog whose company she enjoys. After slow, sensible introductions, they have built a good relationship and sometimes share a dog bed overnight. Annabel has learned to sit for treats but can at times need reminding to ...

Sisco – 1 year old male Cross-Breed

Image
Sisco – a medium sized male crossbreed aged a year old. Sisco is fostered in Norwich Norfolk. Sisco was rescued as a pup in Romania and taken to the safety of a private shelter where he has sadly grown up. It is difficult to get black dogs to be chosen for adoption and common for them to be overlooked. Sisco has recently arrived in his UK foster home and his astonishment at what life outside of the shelter has to offer is both comical and touching to see. He is getting braver every day and learning about the world around him. Sisco is great with the other dogs in his foster home and would like at least one other dog in his forever home. He is a little worried by the safe rescue cat but could definitely get braver with those too. He could live with respectful children aged ten plus. He’s a real sweetheart of a dog who will be a joy to see evolve into the dog he was destined to be. TERMS AND CONDITIONS When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. Amlet – 7 year old male Labrador Retriever

Image
Hello, friends! My name is Amlet, and I’m a sweet?natured, friendly black Labrador cross, around 7 years young. For the past three years I’ve been living at CyDRA shelter, patiently waiting for a forever home. Could it finally be with you? I might not love labels, but I do embrace one classic Labrador trait with pride: I absolutely love food! After what I’ve been through, I think I’ve earned it. I also love water—paddling in the sea, splashing in puddles, even a good hose?down makes me wiggle with joy. And my favourite game is chasing my ball; I’m a keen fetch partner and will happily play until it’s time for cuddles and a nap. You see, I spent my entire life chained up, barely surviving on scraps of food and little water. Then one day, everything changed. A kind stranger saw me and contacted the vet services, who called in a rescue team. That’s how I finally got a chance at a better life—and moved into the shelter, where I learned what it means to be treated with love and respect...

Ghost – 9 year old male Coonhound Cross

Image
Welcome the gentle senior gentleman, Ghost. Ghost – 9 year old male Black and Tan Coonhound Cross, is currently in foster care in northern Italy and weighs around 30 kilograms. Ghost’s story began in the countryside of Calabria, southern Italy, where he was found abandoned and left to survive on his own. At his age, he wasn’t anyone’s “shiny new puppy,” and sadly, that may be why he was cast aside. But despite his rough past, Ghost has shown he’s still full of love and loyalty — he just needed someone to believe in him first. He is now in a foster home in northern Italy, and considering all he suffered — abandonment, bullying from people and other dogs — he is unbelievably sweet. Ghost lets you do anything, is calm when walking, very gentle, and truly a handsome boy. He has been spotless in the home since arriving at foster: no accidents, no barking, and he gets along beautifully with the resident dog. Ghost is good with dogs, cats, and humans, making him the complete package. P...

Bella – 1 year old female Collie Cross

Image
Meet Bella, a 1 year old female Collie Cross who is medium in size and gently learning how wonderful home life can be. Bella has improved greatly in her current home; she enjoys interactions with the foster and will even interact with regular guests. She did start off initially nervous and she still likes the use of a safe space, especially a crate. She will likely have a slow start and will need an adopter willing to give her sufficient time to acclimatise to a new home. Bella does not currently live with children but met children in Romania who she was good with. Due to her anxious behaviours, it is felt that children that are old enough and dog-savvy enough to understand that Bella will need her own time and space would be best. Therefore, children aged 12+ would be recommended, or slightly younger children for the right home. Bella has done better in homes which have had other dogs and ideally another calm dog would benefit her. However, for the right home, a dog-free adopter...

Tara – 12 year old female Cross-Breed

Image
Tara is a small to medium sized female crossbred aged around twelve years old. Fostered in Norwich Norfolk. Tara originally came into our care several years ago. She was rehomed along with two other of our dogs but they have sadly all had to come back to us recently as their adopters unexpected health issues means she can no longer care for them. Tara has lived with cats and dogs but could happily be the only dog in the home. She loves her walks and is in good health for her age. She will need an adult family and can be wary of some men. TERMS AND CONDITIONS When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your do...
