Gabe – 2 year old male Cross-Breed

Image
Meet GABE, a 2.5 year old, mixed breed boy and the TRUE definition of a cutie?patootie! Gabe is elegance on four paws. Watching him move today is nothing short of amazing, especially when you know where he started. He was found abandoned in the forest with a total hip dislocation — an old, untreated injury and he was seriously underweight After surgery, he recovered so beautifully he didn’t even need physio. Our superstar volunteers helped him rebuild strength and taught his left hind leg how to move confidently again. Now he’s 4 kg stronger, shinier, healthier, and even more wonderful than before — he is now 17 kg. And his personality? Pure gold. Gabe loves cuddles, loves walks, loves toys, loves kids, loves food (excellent for training), and loves other dogs — females in particular. He’s simply the best boy. Gabe is one of those dogs who touches everybody’s heart and he so deserves a second chance with a family who will love and cherish him. He will be the most loyal friend a...

Louie – 1 year old male Labradoodle

Image
Louie is a 1 year old male labradoodle who, due to a change of circumstances, finds that his fosterers are unable to keep him permanently, so we’re back on the search for his forever home. Just a baby, Louie the Labradoodle is only a year old, and he has experienced a lot of upheaval in his life. As such, he is an anxious lad and we are looking for a compassionate home, with a patient owner who will help him to feel safe and happy. ? In the home and with those he trusts, Louie is amazingly loyal, loving and affectionate. He loves cuddles and devotes himself quickly to the people who he knows he is safe with. He is super quick (and eager) to learn, and he’ll thrive with structured, reward-based training. Although he enjoys outdoor adventures, Louie needs some help with learning how to walk nicely on a lead. With time, patience and consistency, we’re confident that he will soon learn the ropes. We have already seen great progress in this area since he has been in foster care. ? Loui...

Bruno – 2 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross French Bulldog

Image
Meet Bruno, a handsome two year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross French Bulldog who is ready to find his forever family. He is a compact little pocket rocket who sadly came into our care through no fault of his own when his previous owner’s circumstances changed, meaning they had to work longer hours and Bruno was increasingly being left alone at home. Bruno is a friendly, boisterous, and affectionate boy who absolutely loves attention. If you have a hand free for belly rubs, Bruno will gladly be your best friend for life. He is incredibly playful, loves his toys, and has a great adventurous spirit, meaning he is always excited to get out and explore the big wide world with you. Because he is still young and full of life, Bruno is rather excitable and would benefit from some ongoing basic training. Do not let his compact size fool you — he is a strong little powerhouse who can pull on the lead when he is eager to explore, so he will need a handler who can help guide ...

Suzy – 1 year old female Cross-Breed

Image
Suzy is a 1.5 year old female Cross-Breed, medium in size. She was rescued exactly a year ago from horrid circumstances, having been thrown into a yard with her brother, Tommy, at just a few weeks of age. They lived on piles of rubbish, frequently escaping due to inadequate fencing and roaming the streets among busy traffic, constantly in danger. When rescued, they were emaciated and full of parasites. Suzy has grown to be a kind-natured, healthy girl who is active and playful according to her age. She is medium-sized and has a lovely cheeky character. She loves people and is very friendly around kids, too. She is also playful and happy around other dogs. Suzy is perhaps slightly more reserved than her brother and enjoys doggie company a lot. She loves to play and run with her mates. Suzy would be happiest in a family where she is not left alone for extended periods and there is time for her training. We want her to be treated as a treasured member of the family and be taken on ni...

Breeze – 6 year old female Whippet cross Lurcher

Image
Beautiful 6 year old whippet cross lurcher Breeze came into our care as a stray from the pound. We don’t know anything about her past but what we do know is that she’s an absolute sweetheart. ?We believe that she is around 6 years old, and it is clear that she suffered in her previous life. Our vet has confirmed that sadly, she has been used over and over again for breeding and due to a poor diet and lifestyle, almost all of her teeth need to be removed. As she needs to put on some weight before it’s safe to have her dental surgery, Breeze’s forever family will need to live within driving distance of our vet in Hook Norton. ?Despite her past traumas, Breeze is loving, affectionate and wants to be around her people as much as possible. She loves going for nice, long walks and then spending the rest of the day relaxing. Although she loves human company, she can be left for short periods and house training has gone very well so far in her foster home. ?Given her breed, she cannot ...

Lucy – 6 month old female Shepherd Cross

Image
Lucy is a 6 month old female Shepherd cross. She is currently in Sarajevo, Bosnia where she is in quarantine waiting to travel to the UK in early to mid-May. Lucy weighs 12kg now, and is not expected to grow larger than 20-25kg. This sweet girl has been through a lot of hardship since she came into the world, and would love to find a home and family to call her own. She was born in a work yard in the middle of winter, and has survived almost freezing to death, serious illness, and being taken to a horrendous kill shelter by the dog catchers. Despite everything she’s been through, she is so very loving and trusting. She is still a puppy and loves to play and run around! Having grown up in a home with several other dogs, she could live with another dog (or dogs) or as an only dog. Lucy would love a home with someone that enjoys being active. This clever girl is eager to learn and is highly trainable. If she is given the time and patience she needs to settle into to her new life, she...

Mona has been through a lot of hardship since she came into the world, and would love to find a home and family to call her own. Ebony – 4 month old female Cross-Breed

Image
Ebony is a 4-month-old female Cross-Breed. She is expected to grow into a large-sized dog as she matures. At her young age, she already shows a loving and engaging personality. She is described as friendly, playful, and very cuddly. Ebony enjoys interaction and is full of affection, making her a delightful companion. Her cheerful nature means she is likely to bring a lot of joy into a home. Ebony is suitable to live with other dogs and gets along well with them. She would benefit from companionship and social interaction with other dogs. However, she is not suitable to live with cats, which is an important consideration for potential adopters. She is suitable for a home with older children. This suggests she would do best in an environment where children understand how to interact gently and respectfully with a young puppy. Her playful energy would match well with a family setting. Currently, Ebony is based in Cyprus but can travel to the UK or Europe. This allows her to be conside...

Hugo – 2 year old male Vizsla Cross

Image
Hugo is a 2.5 year old male Vizsla Cross. He is as sweet as he is handsome! He is currently located in Cyprus and is ready to fly to the UK once he is adopted. Hugo is a boy with a lovely character and full of enthusiasm. Hugo was found wandering in a village for weeks begging for someone to take him home. Hugo is an affectionate and loving boy. From the beginning, Hugo was a very shy dog, but his nervousness was not redirected into reactivity and/or aggression. Most likely his fearful behavior was a result of bad treatment in the past. Now he loves to be hugged and stroked by the volunteers at the shelter so with just a bit of patience and a lot of love he can become the most loving doggy. He’s intelligent and will thrive with ongoing training while he learns the house rules. Hugo has high levels of energy, as any Vizsla does:) and he will enjoy his walks, exercise and play with other friendly doggie. Hugo would be best suited to life with a family or as the best mate to someon...

Lonzo – 18 month old male Labrador Retriever

Image
Lonzo is an 18 month old labrador retriever, yet another handsome boy in our care! He was found without a collar or microchip, wandering the outskirts of Nicosia looking for food and water. When he arrived at the shelter he was quite withdrawn and anxious, but within a day we saw a completely different character emerge. He’s now a very happy, friendly and sociable boy, and ready to find his forever home. Lonzo is estimated to be around 1-2 years old, so still quite a young dog who will need some focus and training in a new home. He loves people and is more than happy to make new friends given any opportunity. He is great with the volunteers that visit at the weekends, and he has bonded well with the shelter staff too. He will wait so patiently at the bars of his kennel in the hope that you’ll go in to see him. Since arriving in the shelter Lonzo has shared his kennel with two different groups of dogs and he has had no trouble integrating. He is wise to reading canine body language...

Jet – 3 year old male Chow Chow

Image
Jet is a super friendly three-year-old male Chow. He has lived with another dog previously and could do so again after intros at rescue. Jet has been in kennels for over a year while his owner was prosecuted for neglect. Despite this he is super friendly and loves company and needs a home with someone around. He is dog friendly and enjoys going out to walk and play with other friendly dogs. Jet loves people and can get over excited and bouncy so children ten plus who are dog experienced is advisable. Jet is a typical Chow and is strong on lead and will need ongoing training. He also likes to run and chase so a cat free home is needed. He is such a friendly boy who deserves an active home where he can continue his training. Chows require lots of grooming so any applicants must be willing to do the daily brushing and visits to a groomer when required.

Sarah – 8 month old female Cross-Breed

Image
Sarah is a medium sized crossbreed aged around eight months old. Sarah fostered Norwich Norfolk. Sarah has joined us in the UK recently from the Crivatu shelter in Romania. Initially she was found abandoned in a field with her mother and sister. Sarah is a cracking little dog who is super enthusiastic and eager to please. She’s very friendly and affectionate and a fast learner. She would be a great dog for agility or similar. Sarah gets on well with other dogs but could also be the only dog in the home. She could live with respectful children aged six plus. She is still a pup and will need basic training, she is high energy and will need an active home where she can be adequately exercised. TERMS AND CONDITIONS When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your ...

Chip – 3 year old male Cross-Breed

Image
Chip is a 3-year-old male Cross-Breed. He is currently based in Cyprus, where he is waiting in a municipal pound for the chance to find a loving forever home. Despite his situation, he remains a friendly and hopeful young dog. Chip is described as a beautiful boy who has a gentle and sociable nature. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys being around people, showing that he has a positive and affectionate temperament. His friendliness makes him a great candidate for a home that can offer companionship and interaction. Life in the pound is not ideal for any dog, and Chip would greatly benefit from leaving that environment behind. A home setting would allow him to truly relax and show his personality, away from the stress and confinement of kennel life. He is ready for a fresh start with a family who can give him the care and attention he deserves. https://www.dogsblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Chip2.mp4 https://www.dogsblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Chip1.mp4 C...

Sammy – 10 week old male Shih Tzu Cross

Image
Sammy is a 10-week-old male Shih Tzu Cross. He is currently still with his mum and some of his litter mates, which means he is in an important stage of early development and socialisation. Being raised in this environment helps him learn basic behaviours from both his mother and siblings. He is described as the smallest of the litter, which gives him a slightly more delicate and petite presence compared to his brothers and sisters. Despite his size, Sammy is a cheeky little character with a playful and lively personality. His colouring is noted as darker with a brindle-like appearance, adding to his unique look. Sammy takes strongly after his mum, who is a Shih Tzu Cross, while his dad is unknown. Because of this, his overall appearance and temperament are expected to be similar to his mother. Like her, he will require regular grooming to keep his coat healthy and well-maintained. In terms of temperament, Sammy is good with other dogs and has already been exposed to living with a...

Ivan – 1 year old male Greek Harehound

Image
Ivan is a one year old Greek Harehound and unfortunately, Ivan is looking for a new home. He arrived in the UK in June 2025 at the age of five months old, and has been in a loving, supportive home since then. Sadly, due to reduced time to work on his training since a baby arrived, and his surrounding environment not being the best for his needs, he is now looking for a new family. Ivan is looking for a semi-rural home where he has more space, a nice garden to run about in, and a family who understands hounds. He is currently living in London and is struggling with the suburban surroundings. There are a lot of factors that he finds overwhelming and this is causing pent up frustration and anxiety. He would be much happier outside of the city where he can enjoy long walks in green spaces. As his family have been preparing for their new baby, they haven’t had enough time to give Ivan the training and focus that he has really needed. Now the baby has arrived they have even less time, a...

She is good in the house, doesn’t chew things but will occasionally take a dish cloth – she now has her own, altho she doesn’t seem to need it for anything in particular! She is clean and dry at all times in the house. She loves a ball and got her very own hard ball for Christmas. She likes hard things to chew on, e.g. hard Anco dog roots, hard nylabone chews, rag pulls are another favourite. She sleeps q...
