Even in kennels, even while keeping herself just a little apart, that beautiful smile is there. She is three years old, small, gentle and full of the sweetest little character. She loves other dogs, enjoys being around people and carries a quiet happiness that never seems to leave her face. But we do not believe kennels show us the whole Daisy. She is not scared. She is not timid. She simply keeps a little distance around people, as though she is waiting for life to become softer before she gives us everything that is inside her. Our extra special girl Hannah is approximately three years old and a cross breed at the very bottom end of medium with a strong beagle appearance. Hannah weighs a perfect eleven kilos and measures thirteen inches from shoulder to paw. Having been found abandoned on the streets, Hannah has been in our Cyprus shelter for three weeks. Having clearly been preloved, Hannah is finding shelter life not to her liking. She is longing for her forever home away from the noise and bustle. Kyle – 12 month old male Collie Cross

Kyle is an approximately 12-month-old Collie cross, although he looks mainly Collie, currently being fostered in Gloucestershire in an adult home with other dogs. Kyle started his journey in Spain as a stray. When I met him in June he was still only a baby and, although lovely with the other dogs, he was very shy and cautious with people. I knew he needed to leave the kennel environment and experience home life to give him the chance to learn to trust. He arrived with us in August and what a difference a month has made! Kyle has embraced home life beautifully. He quickly bonded with our dogs and, although initially very cautious with us, he has always been gentle and friendly. Everything outside the home was new to him, but he approached it all with curiosity rather than fear. Take food so gentle Fast forward a month and Kyle is now a Garden Centre and café pro! Raina – 8 month old female Cross-Breed is a large-sized puppy who will grow into a large adult dog. She was abandoned alongside her sister Mischa at a kennels in November 2024 when they were young pups. Raina and Mischa are only just beginning to explore their independence. For weeks, they stuck close together, but now they’re starting to show their own personalities. Raina, the more confident of the two, is soft, squishy, and sweet-natured. While she may be a little shy initially, she warms up with time, trust, and reassurance, showing potential to become a wonderful companion. Rama is a medium sized crossbreed aged around a year old. Rama fostered Norwich Norfolk. Rama was a pup born to a chained mum in Romania. Thankfully she was spared the horrendous fate of chained life when all of the dogs were handed over to a rescuer, Rama and her mother included. Rama is a quiet and sweet little girl who has lived in the shadow of her mum at the shelter. She’s now in a UK foster home and time spent with people is resulting in her absolutely flourishing. Malna is a 3 year old crossbreed girl, she was dumped on the roadside along with her sister at about 2.5 months of age. She is medium size, weight: 15 kg, shoulder height: 44 cm. Malna is a lovely girl, she is friendly and kind and loves everyone. She is energetic and playful and sociable around her doggie mates. She enjoys nothing more than running around in the fields with other dogs, playing a chase. She cooperates nicely with humans too and is very kind with humans. Ralph is a medium sized golden Labrador cross aged around eight years old. Ralph fostered Taverham Norfolk. We believe this boy to be Rupert’s son and he’s an absolute chip off the old block with both looks and stubborn mannerisms. Poor Ralph spent years in the Botosani public shelter in Romania, his two brothers are still there and can’t come to us until we’ve found homes for the two such similar souls that we have already! This handsome boy has already been through a great deal, having spent more than a year of his life locked up in a cage while waiting for his chance at a better life. That chance eventually came, and Lucio flew to the UK on 19 April, where he is now waiting for his forever home. Lucio is currently staying in kennels in Preesal, Lancashire. Leo is a 9 month old male Cross-Breed, expected to grow into a medium to large-sized adult. He is currently fostered in Bulgaria and is ready to travel to the United Kingdom once the right home is found. Leo is fully vaccinated, microchipped, clinically healthy, and has tested negative for Brucellosis and routine veterinary diseases. He is still too young to be neutered. Leo’s story is one of incredible resilience. As a very young puppy, he was hit by a car and left alone on the roadside for two weeks. When he was finally rescued, he was in critical condition with a severely broken leg. Because too much time had passed, surgery was not possible. Mona is a 6 month old female Shepherd cross. She is currently living in a foster home in Leeds and is available for meets and greets with potential adopters. Mona weighs 12kg now and is not expected to grow larger than 20-25kg. This sweet girl has been through a lot of hardship since she came into the world and would love to find a home and family to call her own. She was born in a work yard in Sarajevo, Bosnia in the middle of winter, and has survived almost freezing to death, serious illness, and being chased by dog catchers. Sebastian – 19-month-old Toy Poodle, currently being fostered in Gloucestershire in an adult home with other dogs. This handsome little chap came into our care from a breeder, having had very little experience of the outside world. He arrived as a completely terrified, shut-down little dog who simply didn’t know how to cope with everyday life. He was also in need of veterinary treatment. He had a badly infected mouth caused by retained baby teeth and painful ear infections. Underneath it all was a beautiful little dog who had simply never been given the opportunity to experience life beyond the environment he had always known. Our extra special boy Mousey is approximately three years old and a really small little chap and quite possibly a Kokoni. Mousey weighs four and a half kilos and measures seven inches from shoulder to paw. Having been surrendered as no longer able to keep Mousey has been in our Cyprus shelter for two months. Our shelter manager describes Mousey as a very happy blend of shy and bubbly. He will undoubtedly blossom in a secure and loving forever home. Mousey is incredibly sweet and captures hearts instantly. His soft brown coat is delightful with a graduated tint of black and grey along his back. Meet Ala, a 7 year old female Cross-Breed rescued from a kill shelter in Romania in December 2022. Her date of birth is estimated, and she is now spayed and fully vaccinated. Ala is a wonderful, gentle girl with a calm and sweet nature. She can be a little shy at first but is friendly with the people she knows and trusts. She is good with other dogs and currently shares her kennel, although very energetic dogs can feel a little overwhelming for her.
