Albert is a 12 year old male Cross-Breed, a large and gentle boy weighing around 30 kilograms who is looking for a new home after the sad loss of his owner after his beloved owner passed away. Sadly, no one in the family can continue caring for him and he is living his worst nightmare that no dog should ever go through. He is currently living in Herefordshire, Wales and can be visited by arrangement. This gentle giant has a stumpy tail and he surely has a tale to tell about what it feels like losing your loved one and finding yourself unwanted as a senior dog. This is even more sad because Albert is an absolute sweetheart with a gentle, calm and docile nature. He is kind with everyone he meets, loving and gentle with people, including children. Hovis is a 4 year old male medium cross breed currently in the East Midlands. He was born at the shelter on 20 March 2021 after his mother, Rosie, was rescued heavily pregnant from a public shelter. Sadly, Rosie later passed away. Hovis has grown up in a rescue environment and is described as friendly. He has been child tested and is comfortable around children. He lives with other dogs and is good with them. He walks on a lead and manages routine handling well. Hovis weighs approximately 25 kg and stands around 52 cm tall. He is neutered and travel ready. Hovis is looking for a committed home willing to support him as he transitions from shelter life into a family environment.

Dora is a lovely 2-year-old medium-sized cross breed girl who is looking for a patient and understanding forever home. She weighs 15.5 kg and is slightly over 50 cm tall. She is currently living in North Yorkshire and can be visited by arrangement. Dora is beautiful girl who is kind and affectionate and enjoys attention from the people she loves and trusts. She loves a good tummy rub and nothing makes her happier than a cosy morning cuddle in bed. Around the house she likes to be cheeky – she will bring items to her humans to show off, whether it’s shoes, toys or clothes that have been left within reach! Meet Max – 8-year-old Cockapoo boy Max is a lovely Cockapoo currently being fostered in an adult home in Gloucestershire, where he is living alongside other dogs. He came into our care due to the ill health of both of his previous owners, which meant they could no longer care for him. It’s clear he has been much loved and well looked after. Max has been with us for just under a week, and we are still getting to know him, but what is already very apparent is what a gentle, affectionate, and easy boy he is. He has settled into his foster home really well with no major issues and has proven to be a wonderful house guest. Adorable little Molly is a 1 year old female Kokoni Cross and weighs only 5 kilos, the perfect size for lots of lap cuddles. She was found as a stray and has now come under our charity’s care. This little Kokoni cross is our golden girl. She is in foster care and lives happily in her foster home in Cyprus with many different dogs of various ages and sizes. She gets along beautifully with them all and enjoys playtime and zooming around in the garden. She has adjusted well to living in a home environment and loves nothing more than sleeping in your lap or bed, as cuddling is one of her favourite things to do. Molly is fully house trained, sleeps well overnight, and has no guarding or sharing issues. Bambi is an 1 year old girl who will grow into a smaller medium-sized dog (current weight: 7 kg). She currently lives in a foster family in Hungary. She and her sibling were strays when tragedy struck — Bambi was hit by a car and suffered a hip injury. Thanks to surgery and lots of care from her foster family, she’s healing beautifully. Today, she walks, runs, hops onto the sofa, and will continue to benefit from gentle physiotherapy. This sweet girl has a gentle, kind nature. She can be timid in new situations, but once she trusts you, she’s a cuddly, affectionate shadow who loves to snuggle in bed. Bracken is a 4 year old German Shorthaired Pointer currently in foster care in Dundee, Scotland. He is a young, energetic and very sweet natured dog who has been through such a lot in his short life, but remains affectionate, people focused and super enthusiastic about everything! When Bracken was rescued, he was in a bad way. He had suffered a serious collision with a car which resulted in a broken left leg, a fractured left hip and a dislocated right leg. He underwent surgery for all of these injuries and has healed well overall. He remains active and loves being out and about, but due to the extent of the trauma he still needs to continue building muscle and strength. At times he can appear a little unstable on his back end and may stumble or fall, particularly when tired or over excited, which is completely understandable given what his body has been through. Dolly is a Kokoni mix, but as we do not know her parents it is hard to say what she is crossed with. Bagel is a one year old Beagle. He is a new arrival in the shelter and such a sweetheart. He was found as a stray days before the end of the hunting season, likely abandoned or lost. The hunting mentality and throwaway culture of dogs in Cyprus results in thousands of hounds finding their way into the shelters across the island every season, so we’re no stranger to beagles and pointers who haven’t quite made the cut. Bagel is around a year old is as velvety on the inside as he is on the outside. He is such a softie, and has a gentle, submissive and affectionate personality. He can be a little bit shy to start with, but it doesn’t take much to win him over and before long he’ll be jumping up for cuddles and leaning in for a fuss. Cooper is a 2-year-old male Cross-Breed. He is a very handsome dog who is believed to possibly be a Hungarian Vizsla cross. Cooper has a very soft and gentle nature, making him a lovely companion for the right home. Despite his sweet temperament, he is also quite a high-energy dog who enjoys keeping active. He absolutely loves his toys and will happily spend time playing with them, even entertaining himself when needed. Cooper enjoys his walks and finds great excitement in getting outside and exploring. Trinity is a medium sized female cross breed aged around 2/3 years old. Trinity is fostered in Norwich Norfolk I met Trinity during a trip to a Romanian shelter back in October last year. She was living outside on the street along with a few other dogs and was pregnant, not for the first time sadly. When the rescuer captured her inside the gates of the shelter she asked if we would take her and of course we agreed. Unfortunately the neighbourhood were not kind to the dogs in that street and would throw rocks at them to chase them away as they didn’t want them around. As a result of this Trinity is extremely wary of men and will bark at them. In time she can learn to trust individual men but we sadly cannot erase these memories altogether. Ideally an all female home would be best but a very patient and understanding man could win her trust over time. Finn is a five to six month old crossbreed pup who we believe will grow to be medium sized. Finn fostered Norwich Norfolk. Finn has come into our care recently from the Boto?ani public shelter in Romania. He is initially quite hand shy with new people but his confidence is growning daily. He is much braver when he has an adult dog to shadow around and we would therefore need to find him a home with at least one other dog in permanent residence. He is mixing well with the safe rescue cat and will need a home with children no younger than twelve. He will need all the usual training and care that all pups need and adopters should expect peeing, poohing, chewing and potentially sleepless nights until work is put into training them out of it. Balto is a 12month old male Mastin cross, located in Newquay Cornwall. This loveable young chap is Balto, a medium to large lad standing at 80cm and aged just over 12 months old. Newton is a medium sized crossbreed aged around four years old. Newton fostered Fakenham Norfolk. Newton and his siblings were taken in by a Romanian private shelter when war broke out in Ukraine. There were many situations at that time when Romania stepped up to help the abandoned dogs of Ukraine as people fled the country and left them behind. The siblings grew up in the shelter and sadly were never offered homes. The first of the four came over last year and was happily adopted. We will of course help the other two shortly. Due to not interacting with many humans the group are a little hand shy with strangers but very happy and friendly dogs once they’ve gotten to know you well.
