Alba – 5 year old female Cross-Breed

Alba is a small to medium sized crossbreed. Her passport states her to be five years old but we feel she is probably at least seven or eight. Alba fostered Hempnall, Norfolk. Alba was found in a cemetery in Romania and was rescued a few weeks ago. She is now in a UK foster home. Her fosterer says, “She’s a lovely girl who likes to rest outside, she’s great with other dogs but would also be happy to be on her own. She’s no trouble, you literally don’t know you have her. She loves walks where she likes to plod beside you. She has the happiest tail waggle and sweet soul who just wants tummy tickles and love. Shes great with children and all people. Shes house trained and cat tested. Alba would be the bestest friend to anyone.” Alba can live with cats and would like a quietish household. She can live with respectful children aged eight plus. Indie – 10 month old female German Short-Haired Pointer

Indie is a 10 month old female German short haired pointer located in Spain. Gorgeous puppy Indie is a beautiful looking German pointer girl. She’s very loving, friendly and affectionate. She gets on well with her kennel mates but really loves human company. Indie stands at medium height and she’s approximately 10 months old. She weighs 16kg so she needs to put some weight on, but she lively and healthy and has a great personality. Poor Indie arrived at the shelter via a local vet who found her abandoned with two other dogs, so unfortunately we don’t know much about her background except she’s not had much training so she is a blank canvas for a family wanting to train for obedience or agility, she would be brill at either! Bambi – 16 month old female Cross-Breed

Bambi is a 16 month old girl who will grow into a smaller medium-sized dog (current weight: 7 kg). She currently lives in a foster family in Hungary. She and her sibling were strays when tragedy struck — Bambi was hit by a car and suffered a hip injury. Thanks to surgery and lots of care from her foster family, she’s healing beautifully. Today, she walks, runs, hops onto the sofa, and will continue to benefit from gentle physiotherapy. This sweet girl has a gentle, kind nature. She can be timid in new situations, but once she trusts you, she’s a cuddly, affectionate shadow who loves to snuggle in bed. Mona is a 6 month old female Shepherd cross. She is currently living in a foster home in Leeds. Mona is the smallest puppy in a litter of 5 and is the sweetest little girl. She weighs approximately 10kg now, and is not expected to grow larger than 20kg. Mona has been through a lot of hardship since she came into the world, and would love to find a home and family to call her own. She was born in a work yard in the middle of winter, and has survived almost freezing to death, serious illness, and being taken to a horrendous kill shelter by the dog catchers. Looby is a small to medium whippet -ish crossbreed aged around three to four years old. Looby-Lou fostered Norwich Norfolk. A few years ago a mum and two pups turned up at the gate of Crivatu. Just some of many dumped there over the years. They were tempted through the gates and into the safety of the shelter with trails of food. They were wary little dogs that took a while to trust humans. The mother, Maria, and sister Bella, were more confidant and adopted in the UK some time ago. Looby was a lot shyer until very recently. Now is her turn to at last come to the UK and find a new home. Looby is loving being in a home environment. She’s still becoming accustomed to some things that other dogs take for granted but her tail is wagging with delight most of the time! Tanner is a medium to large sized German shepherd cross aged around six to seven years old. Tanner fostered Easton Norfolk. He has come into our care recently from the Botosani public shelter in Romania. We’ve known this boy for over two years now and walked him on several trips to the shelter. He’s always been so happy to see us and a really nice boy to take out. He’s very friendly and confident. Tanner could live very happily with another dog or dogs but would also enjoy being the only dog in the home. He could live with respectful children aged ten plus. TERMS AND CONDITIONS When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. Barbie is a small female crossbreed aged around 2-3 years old. Barbie is fostered in Norwich Norfolk. Barbie came into our care from the Botosani public shelter in Romania at the end of 2023 and has grown up with us. Having started life in the shelter environment she was very shy and under socialised on arrival and it took us weeks to warm her trust. She is now confident and affectionate with everyone in her foster home and loves cuddles and to play. She is still wary of strangers and not confident in unfamiliar surroundings but this will all improve in time. She needs to move on from her multi dog foster home now and get used to life out of the shadows of a large pack. Nami is one of the 27 dogs rescued from a hoarding case back in October — a group of dogs who had never experienced normal life, kindness, or a safe environment. Everything around them was unfamiliar, overwhelming, and often frightening. But Nami… Nami is one of the success stories in the making. She has made incredible progress since coming into our care. From a very scared and unsure girl, she is now so excited to see us, she is walking on a lead and becoming much more comfortable around people. You can truly see her confidence growing day by day. Hi… I’m Jharna I’m a 9-year-old German Pointer, and somehow, after everything, I still believe in love. I was found in the middle of nowhere by kind tourists who saw that I wasn’t okay. They took me to the vet, and that’s when my story came out… I had a microchip, but I had spent my life being used only for breeding. Over and over again. Ron is a four year old male Brittany. Ron is a very handsome boy. Small in size with a robust frame and vibrant colours. Ron is exceptionally attached to people. He would like to spend all day by your side! He loves cuddles and caresses and has a very good appetite too whihc will be great for training! Meet Adonis Adonis is a Labrador Retriever mix, around 6 years old, and one of the 27 dogs rescued last October from a heartbreaking hoarding situation — a place where fear and neglect shaped the start of his life. When he first came to us, Adonis was completely shut down. He kept his distance, unsure of everything around him, and had no reason to trust the world or the people in it. But slowly, with patience and gentle care, Adonis has begun to blossom… and what a transformation it has been. Today, he is a completely different boy. Molly – 4 year old female Cross-Breed

Molly is a 4 year old female Cross-Breed. Molly is a very friendly and affectionate girl who is medium sized (about 20kg). She was rescued off the streets about two years ago by an independent rescuer. Molly was far too friendly to be living on the streets and had already given birth to a few litters of pups. The rescuer kept Molly safe at her house until this year when Molly came into our care. She is now living with our other dogs at the boarding kennel. Molly has a lovely calm demeanor. She loves it when the volunteers visit and gravitates towards them getting as much attention as she can. She will lay on the floor submissively offering her belly for belly rubs. She is a very easy going dog, you can pamper her, brush her teeth etc and she will welcome it all! Meet GABE, a 2.5 year old, mixed breed boy and the TRUE definition of a cutie?patootie! Gabe is elegance on four paws. Watching him move today is nothing short of amazing, especially when you know where he started. He was found abandoned in the forest with a total hip dislocation — an old, untreated injury and he was seriously underweight After surgery, he recovered so beautifully he didn’t even need physio. Our superstar volunteers helped him rebuild strength and taught his left hind leg how to move confidently again. Now he’s 4 kg stronger, shinier, healthier, and even more wonderful than before — he is now 17 kg. And his personality? Pure gold.
