Grant – 4 month old male Cross-Breed

Grant is a four month old cross-breed. Grant’s litter, aka the G pups, arrived at the shelter in June after they were all found living together as strays without their mum. They were terrified to begin with and spent a lot of time huddled together in their kennel, completely overwhelmed and frightened. After a few days they gradually started to get a bit braver, and now they’re ready for adoption. At a glance, Grant looks just as confident as his siblings. He’s always at the bars of the kennel jumping up to meet new people with his brothers and sisters, and the fact that he’s the only pup in the litter with huge ears also draws a lot of attention to him. Noemi – 1 year old female English Setter

Noemi is a beautiful 1 year old female English Setter who was handed over by her hunter because she wasn’t wanted for hunting. She’s a very affectionate girl who loves being close to people and enjoys all the attention and fuss she can get. Noemi is a lively girl with lots of energy and finds kennel life very stressful. She gets quite anxious and restless in her kennel and really struggles to settle, so she would benefit from an environment where she has more space to relax. She absolutely loves getting out into the secure area at the shelter where she can run around to her heart’s content! She can be quite excitable around food and gets a little anxious at mealtimes, so would need to be fed separately from other dogs for the foreseeable. Mabel is a medium sized crossbreed aged around four years old. Mabel fostered Badersfield Norfolk. Mabel came into our care a few weeks ago from Roxanas shelter in Romania. She was initially found in a nearby village after her and her siblings were abandoned as puppies. Mabel is a timid and reserved character who has been in her foster home for approximately 12 weeks, making gradual progress. Initially, she was fearful of human touch, but recently, she has started to enjoy affection and gets excited when she sees familiar faces. Mabel requires a home with at least one other dog as permanent resident, as she relies heavily on her pack. She loves going for walks, but prefers quieter areas due to her sensitivity to traffic. Donky is a medium Boxer cross, 5 years old. Donky was given up alongside his brother, Monky, and thankfully they both found their way into one of the shelters we work closely with. Donky is a beautiful, medium-sized Boxer mix and an absolute ray of sunshine. He is sociable, affectionate, playful and active, and he loves being around people. He’s happiest when he’s with his humans and would love to be part of a family where he can be involved in everyday life. He is good with other dogs, but he could also happily live as the only dog in the home. Bagel – 4 year old male Hound Cross

Our extra special boy Bagel is approximately four years old and a medium sized cross breed hound. Bagel weighs a delightful seventeen kilos and measures twelve inches from shoulder to paw. Having been surrendered by his owner as no longer able to keep, Bagel has been in our Cyprus shelter for six weeks. Bagel is staggeringly attractive. His tri colour coat is exemplary along with the array of freckles on his chest. His shining eyes glow with happiness and his ears are of world champion standard. Perhaps we should also note his two pairs of size ten boots. When Bagel goes on his dog walks, he will quickly become the talk of the town. Our shelter manager describes Bagel’s manners as perfect, and she firmly believes he will make a wonderful family dog. What a star. Bagel walks really nicely on his lead and enjoys his time in the car. Pablo is a 3-year-old male Cross-Breed. He is a medium-to-large-sized dog who has made incredible progress since arriving in care. Initially, Pablo was a confused adolescent who struggled with communication, often becoming frustrated and overstimulated. This would lead to him jumping up and mouthing, which, given his size, could be overwhelming. Unfortunately, this behaviour resulted in him making a mistake in his previous home. With dedicated training and patience, Pablo has transformed into a well-mannered and much more settled dog. His love for food and toys has been an excellent aid in his training, helping him learn positive behaviours. He is now a lovable rogue with so much potential for the right person. Please meet Spirited Sultan! Sultan is a 2 year old Bedlington Terrier. Sultan came to us following the arrival of a new baby. He struggled to adjust to this and as a result will need a home with teenage children or adults only. True to their terrier type, Bedlington’s are “spirited and fierce” as they are very skilled hunters in the field and remain so when kept in a domestic environment. One of the oldest purebred terriers ever, the Bedlington was originally bred in northern England, but by 1877 its reputation as an extremely capable hunter was spreading to other regions of the country. These dogs may look like lambs, but they have the heart of a lion. Sultan is very typical of the breed and will need an owner with experience of this breed. Lottie and Lucy are 15 month old female Labrador Retriever Crosses. These beautiful sisters were found in a field in Romania when they were tiny. They are very friendly, lively, and medium-sized. They love to move around, but currently, they only have a kennel to run around in. They are bored and really need a proper life now, as they don’t get out at all. It would be lovely if they could be homed together, but it’s not essential. They need adopters who have plenty of time for them and can offer a fun and interesting life. These girls are fantastic.
