Paulie – 7 year old male Dachshund

Image
Paulie is a 7-year-old male Dachshund. This little guy came into care due to changes in his previous owner’s situation — no drama, just life happening. Now he’s looking for a calm and loving forever home to settle into. He may be small in stature, but Paulie knows how to carry himself with charm. He walks well on the lead and genuinely enjoys his strolls. He’s not asking for much — just some fresh air, a garden to sniff around in, and owners who know their way around dogs. Paulie would love a home where people are around for most of the day. He thrives on companionship and isn’t the type to enjoy long hours alone. He’ll need to be the only dog in the house, and he’s also not down to share his space with any cats. When it comes to kids, Paulie’s more into the teen crowd. He’s best suited to a household with children aged 14 and up, or just adults. A peaceful, steady environment is where this boy will shine the most.

Winnie – 3 year old female Parsons Russell Terrier

Image
Winnie is a 3-year-old female Parsons Russell Terrier. She is currently seeking a new home where she can thrive and be loved. Winnie enjoys her walks and is great on her lead, making her a pleasure to take out and about. Her sociable nature shines when meeting other dogs, and she could happily live with another small dog if introduced properly. However, she is not suitable to live with cats. Winnie forms strong bonds with her person and would prefer a home where someone is around often to provide her with the companionship she craves. Her bright personality means she is eager to learn and will benefit from mental stimulation and training. Winnie is also known to be good with older children, making her a suitable candidate for a family home. Currently, she is in foster care in Essex, where she is receiving love and care while waiting for her forever home.

Nicky – 4 year old male Cross-Breed

Image
Nicky fostered Norwich Norfolk. Nicky is a medium sized spanielish crossbreed aged around four years old. Nicky was brought to Roxana’s shelter in Romania by a kind lady who found them abandoned in a box. They were still puppies but were luckily old enough not to need their mum’s milk. He is a lovely friendly, people pleasing, boy and were so glad to meet us all when we went in their pen. Nicky gets on great with other dogs, seems to be fine with cats and could live with respectful children aged four plus. When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead mus...

Bonnie – 1 year old male Chihuahua Cross

Image
Bonnie – 1 year old male Chihuahua Cross. Your Loyal Ray of Sunshine with a Tail That Never Stops Wagging. Available under a foster-to-adopt. Expected arrival: Friday 18th of July Meet Bonnie, a cheerful and cuddly young lad, just over a year old. Small in size but huge in heart, Bonnie is a shining example of warmth. He adores everyone—humans, children, other dogs, cats, even chickens! Bonnie’s story is one of heartbreak and hope. He was seen being thrown from a moving car onto a roadside. For nearly a week, he stayed by the road—thin, confused, and waiting—never wandering far, as if he believed his people would come back. But they never did. Kind neighbours fed him until rescuers were able to get him to safety. Despite such cruelty, Bonnie’s faith in humans never wavered. Bonnie is a sunshine soul with endless love to give. Always ready for a cuddle or a kiss, he radiates joy and calm. In his foster home, he lives in harmony with cats, dogs, and even chickens—he simply loves the...

Kite – 6 year old male Cross-Breed

Image
Kite fostered Norwich Norfolk. Kite is a medium sized crossbreed aged around six years old. We met Kite during our trip to Romania in March. He arrived whilst we were there and we were able to offer him some comfort as he adjusted to shelter life. When we offered him a space with us he had to go to be neutered by the shelter vet and unfortunately suffered yet another bodge job. He got so severely infected and was in considerable pain. We think that it was during that pain that he learned to fear dogs getting too close and as such he now needs to be an only dog until time heals this awful and recent experience. Kite is an affectionate, playful boy with humans but can cower at sudden movements and raised voices. It’s so pitiful to see such a cheerful boy revert to cowering on the floor in split second and it’s obvious that the shelter wasn’t his only bad experience with people. Kite deserves so much more than the cruelty he’s received. He is still so loving and affectionate and lov...

Daphne – 8 year old female Cross-Breed

Image
Daphne is an eight year old female Cross-Breed and is medium in size, known affectionately as Diva Daphne because, let’s be real, she lives for the spotlight. One bum wiggle and she’ll have your heart signed, sealed, delivered. Known affectionately as Diva Daphne, this girl is all about being the centre of attention – and she’ll steal your heart the second you walk through the door with her beaming smile and full-body happy bum wiggle. Daphne might only have one ear, but don’t be fooled – her superpower hearing is next-level. Rustle a treat bag and she’ll be by your side faster than you can say “good girl”! Her love of food makes her a dream to train, and she’s already made amazing progress in her foster home. Daphne came from a background of cruelty, with trauma around her head and neck likely causing the loss of her ear. But thanks to the patience and love of her foster family, she’s made huge strides. She now accepts a collar and has even started lead training – something we’re ...

Suzy – 1 year old female Cross-Breed

Image
Suzy is a 1.5 year old female Cross-Breed, medium in size. She was rescued exactly a year ago from horrid circumstances, having been thrown into a yard with her brother, Tommy, at just a few weeks of age. When rescued, they were emaciated and full of parasites. Suzy has grown to be a kind-natured, healthy girl who is active and playful according to her age. She is medium-sized and has a lovely cheeky character. She loves people and is very friendly around kids, too. She is also playful and happy around other dogs. Suzy is perhaps slightly more reserved than her brother and enjoys doggie company a lot. She loves to play and run with her mates. Suzy would be happiest in a family where she is not left alone for extended periods and there is time for her training. Koda – 6 year old male Border Collie

Image
Please meet the brilliant boy, Koda! Koda – 6 year old male Border Collie is a super sweet lad, but unfortunately, my home environment isn’t helping him. He is house-trained and crate-trained. His recall needs work around distractions, but he isn’t a dog to run off, just one to say “I’ll be right there after I’ve sniffed this tree.” He integrated well with all my dogs and I’ve had absolutely no issues of any kind within the home, but he has shown some slight reactivity to strange dogs who react to him first out and about. By this, I mean he barks but will carry on if you keep walking. I haven’t tested him off lead around strange dogs, due to his recall needing more work. He is crated overnight and when I go out, as he has shown some OCD-like behaviours in response to stressors. This is likely due to his solitary confinement in kennels and pens in previous homes. The crate means he’s unable to pace and it forces him to rest. He has not shown any issues with handling, bathing, and...

Mangas – 4 year old male Cross-Breed

Image
Mangas is a 4-year-old male Cross-Breed. He is a mix of German Shepherd and Labrador and is currently based in Cyprus, hoping to find a loving home in the UK. Mangas was sadly surrendered to a pound by his previous owner when they left the country, leaving him behind. He has spent his entire life in a kennel, which has impacted his socialisation, particularly around other dogs, cats, and children. Despite this, Mangas is friendly with humans and shows a deep longing for companionship and a stable family life. His time in confinement has left him eager for the chance to experience life outside of a cage. Due to his background, Mangas will benefit from further socialisation and would thrive best as the only dog in the household. His compatibility with cats and children remains unknown. He will be neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and treated for parasites before travel. He also comes with his own pet passport and full rescue backup from Saving Souls Animal Rescue.

Cedric has been neutered, microchipped, and is fully vaccinated, making him ready for adoption. Cedric is an incredibly friendly dog who loves the company of other dogs. He is playful and sociable, always ready to interact and have fun. While he hasn’t been tested with cats, his behaviour around dogs suggests he enjoys companionship and activity. He would be best suited to a home with older children, a couple, or an individual who can give him plenty of attention and time. Cedric would thrive in an environment where he can receive love, structure, and companionship from his humans. He comes with a pet passport and has undergone all necessary blood tests in accordance with DEFRA requirements. Tazz – 3 year old male German Shepherd Cross

Image
Meet Tazz – A Gentle & Sweet Soul in Search of His Safe Haven. Tazz is a medium sized three year old male German Shepherd Cross. Handsome Tazz is a truly special boy with a heart full of love, just waiting for the right person to help him shine. His early life was filled with trauma and while he carries some emotional scars, he has shown incredible courage and resilience. When Tazz first arrived in foster care, he would hide away in the smallest corners, too afraid to face the world. But slowly, with time, patience and the gentle encouragement of his foster family and their dogs, he began to trust again – learning to play, explore, and enjoy the simple joys of life. He eventually left for what was believed to be his forever home. Sadly, one year to the day later, he was returned (through absolutely no fault of his own) in a heart-breaking state, having lost much of the progress he’d made. But Tazz is a fighter, he didn’t give up. Back in foster care, Tazz has made remarkable s...
