Zvonko is a 1-year-old male Cross-Breed currently residing in Croatia. This young and energetic dog found his way to the shelter in early December after being brought in by a utility policeman from Vitaljina. At the time, Zvonko wasn’t microchipped, and his background remained uncertain. However, through social media posts, his owner was identified. Despite an initial agreement to retrieve Zvonko on New Year’s Eve, his owner failed to honour the arrangement. Attempts to contact him revealed a sudden change of heart, leaving Zvonko abandoned and in need of a new home. During his stay at the shelter, Zvonko has been vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, ensuring he is ready for a fresh start in a loving environment. Freya – 8 month old female Cross-Breed Meet the one and only, sweet Freya. Freya is a beautiful young girl who’s expected to be medium to large in size once fully grown. Freya was thankfully saved from an awful public shelter but has since settled in very well with her rescuer! Freya is a friendly and sweet-natured girl who greets you with a wagging tail every time and a smile on her face. She is so grateful to be given a second chance. It’s very hard not to fall in love with her! Her favourite thing is to soak up the sun and lay there taking everything in. Dexter – 10 year old male Cross-Breed

Our handsomest older gentleman, Dexter!! Dexter is ten years old age but doesn’t look a day over four, he is medium in size weighing approximately twenty three kilograms. Dexter was once loved, once had a family but somewhere in between Dexter was sadly abandoned. Our rescuer had a call by a shepherd who saw Dexter all alone on his sheep farm, without thought, our rescuer went straight over and picked him up. It was clear that poor Dexter wasn’t in the best shape with his skin (warming – pictures below) so he was taken to the vets where he was looked after and nurtured back to health. Orion is a 7 month old crossbreed boy who was dumped on a riverbank in the Hungarian countryside along with his 3 siblings. Someone from the public heard them cry desperately and they called on the local shelter to collect them. They were emaciated and in a very poor state, contracted parvovirus and only two pups survived. Orion has been living in the shelter since February while his brother has already been adopted. Kedves and her 12 siblings were rescued from horrible circumstances; they were emaciated and kept in very poor condition. One of the pups did not survive, but 12 did (the Dirty Dozen). Russel is a medium sized crossbreed aged around eight to nine years old. Russel is fostered in Norwich Norfolk. This will be another brutally honest write up that will probably make you chuckle. Russel was in the Botosani public shelter up until around a year ago when he came to us in the UK. Several months on and we can groom, stroke and do all the necessary things for his daily care but he doesn’t like any of it….. and we suspect he doesn’t like us much either…. but that might just be his face!
