Nala – 3 year old female Rottweiler

Image
Nala is a 3 year old female Rottweiler in need of a new home. She currently lives with children, a dog and a cat but she does chase the cat and bark at him which her owner thinks is Nala wanting to play. She is a very bouncy energetic young girl so needs a home where she will get lots of exercise and playtime so she’s both physically and mentally stimulated. Cuddles are also something Nala will need in abundance as she’s a very friendly and affectionate girl who is used to lots of love. Nala walks very well on a halti but does sometimes lunge at passing cars so anyone walking her does need to always be aware of that. Her recall isn’t great as she’s easily distracted so that would need to be worked on for off lead walks where suitable. Nala is crate trained and happily sleeps in her crate at night, she isn’t used to being home alone as her current owners work shifts with someone always at home so that is something that may take time for her to get used to and would need to be built u...

Bruce – 5 month old male Hound Cross

Image
Bruce is a 5-month-old male Hound Dog Cross. He is described as a sweet and affectionate puppy, full of energy and ready for new adventures. Currently, Bruce is medium-sized and expected to weigh around 22 kg when fully grown. His journey began in Italy, where he was found abandoned and pregnant. Fortunately, he was rescued and is now being fostered in Suffolk, specifically in Bury St Edmunds, where he is thriving in a loving environment. As a sociable and playful pup, Bruce gets along well with people, children, dogs, and cats. He enjoys long walks, making him an excellent companion for those who love outdoor activities. His playful nature makes him particularly fond of playing with kids, and he also cherishes the comfort of a soft couch for napping. Bruce’s love for good food shows he has a healthy appetite, which is common for growing puppies. Bruce’s friendly disposition and eagerness to bond with his foster family highlight his potential as a beloved pet. He seeks a forever ...

George – 8 month old male Presa Canario Cross

Image
Gorgeous George is only a puppy at 8 months old and is a presa canario cross. He’s an absolutely adorable young lad who is finding kennels overwhelming and he is shaking with fear at the noise of all the other dogs barking when he gets back to his kennel. So we are looking for a foster or forever home ASAP for him. He is happy out of kennel who loves a walk and wags his tail the whole time. He is a very calm boy from what we have seen so far. He is going to be looking for a sensible, large breed experienced home with the time and commitment for a puppy. We will be updating more as we get to know him better but will want a home with children 10+, no cats although potentially with a friendly speyed/neutered dog subject to successful meets. He’s chipped, has started his vaccinations today and will be neutered when he is old enough. Forever homes can be anywhere within the UK but you will need to travel to where he is in West Yorkshire. As always we require everyone in the family and a...

Snoopy – 19 month old female Central Asian Shepherd

Image
Snoopy is a 19 month old female Central Asian Shepherd girl looking for a suitably experienced home. She’s a large guardian breed who will need a home with experience of large breeds with guarding tendencies. She is a lovely girl weighing in at over 60kg and is looking g for a home through no fault of her own. She lives with other dogs and gets on well with them but will guard food/treats from them so we would be happy to rehome with another neutered/speyed dog subject to successful meets and being sensible re separating for food etc. she not going to be rehomed with cats. She will need a home with adults or with sensible dog savvy teenagers. She’s not used to visitors to her home so will bark and this will need some further work to support her with socialisation in the home. She’s friendly with people out and about but is a very large girl who can be strong on the lead and when she jumps up her paws are on your shoulders. She is ok to be left for reasonable periods of time and tra...

Bruce – 6-7 month old male Cross-Breed

Image
Bruce is a crossbreed boy aged six to seven months old. We think he will grow to be medium to large sized. Bruce Lee is fostered in Halvergate Norfolk. Bruce was born on the streets in Romania and rescued when a safe rescue volunteer visited the area along with his mum and two brothers. Bruce is an enquisitive and cheeky boy who is learning all the benefits of domestic life very quickly. He picked up the art of walking on a lead super quickly and continues to grow in confidence daily. He enjoys the company of other dogs but could also live happily as an only dog. Bruce could live with dog savvy children aged eight plus. When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST ...

Elio – 4 year old male Pointer

Image
Hi there, my name is Elio, a 4.5 year old male pointer. I am a sweet and enthusiastic boy who has so much joy to bring to his new family. I haven’t always had much luck in the past. I was living on the streets getting some food and water from the locals but I was in a very poor state, only skin and bones and you could barely tell the colour of my fur as I did not have any fur left. Everyone was running away from me instead of helping me. I still remember the day I was scavenging for food and this lady came and she was not scared of my sorry look and offered me the help I needed. That day my life changed for the better. I received the medical care I needed, my blood tests were as bad as I looked. But I could finally restore my trust in humans and had a reason to fight and get better. Within few months I transformed to a healthy happy boy that loved nothing more than spending time with the volunteers at the sanctuary. I was there for a year and a half before I was lucky enough to fly...

Keeva – 10 month old female German Shepherd Cross

Image
Keeva is a 10-month-old female German shepherd cross. Keeva is one of three siblings found abandoned, one has already travelled to the Uk to foster but Keeva and her sister are waiting. Keeva is in foster in Reading. She is a cheeky dog who is going to be a small to medium sized adult most probably on the smaller side. She simply loves her other doggy friends so it would be great to find her a home with another resident dog. She loves a cuddle on her own terms and although she hasn’t been cat tested it may be a possibility for her to live with a dog savvy cat. She will be neutered and is fully vaccinated. She is also microchipped. She also has her own pet passport. Keeva has really unusual markings on her legs, we are not sure who her parents were! We offer full rescue back up on all of our dogs.

Anna – 3 year old female Cross-Breed

Image
Anna is a medium sized crossbreed aged around three years old. Anna is fostered in Norwich Norfolk. Anna was rescued from a public shelter in Romania in July 2023 and moved to a safe private shelter along with her brother. Anna is initially a shy girl who is still a little wary of hands but she bravely endures our attention none the less. She is loving her walks and will soon gain confidence in a calm and loving environment. Anna would benefit from the company of another confidant dog but could be the only dog if allowed a little extra time to adjust. She could live with respectful children aged twelve plus. She will need a patient and experienced adopter willing to allow her to take the time she needs to trust people. When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to preve...

Renting An Adventure Van With Pets

Image
Road trips are a classic form of adventure. One of my favorite vacations growing up was our family road trip to Montana … probably because my yellow lab, Chica, was allowed to come along. Epic road trips are still my favorite way to travel with my dogs. If you agree, renting an adventure van with your pets might be a great option!   Renting An Adventure Van With Pets An enjoyable road trip is about more than the destination. You also need the appropriate vehicle for your journey. Campervans are a great choice if you’re not up for tent or car camping, but can live without all the bells and whistles of a full-blown RV. Most campervans are just a bit bigger than your average vehicle. So they’re still easy to drive and park, while offering space for gear and room to sleep. And the bonus? Many rental companies understand that family vacations means taking your pets along, so there are several pet friendly options! READ MORE ⇒   Pet Friendly RV Rental Companies Policies A...

Connor – 2 year old male Cross-Breed

Image
This is the story of me – Connor. I am a 2 year old male Cross-Breed and am seeking a long-term foster in the Buckinghamshire area. Well, I have a story. I came to the UK very excited and looking forward to my future. I was a little scared of people but soon settled into my home and started to enjoy cuddles on the sofa. Then something happened that traumatised me so drastically that I completely shut down and I became so scared I could not let anyone touch me. I am unable to speak about it. I was taken immediately to a lovely foster home and my foster mum; Anita never gave up on me. It was a long journey, but she taught me to trust again with her patience and love. Every day Anita tells me how amazing I am and how different I am to the dog that first came through her door. I feel a different boy now, I am bright, loving and also inquisitive. I enjoy life and do actually like people but I have to be sure I can trust them. I am proud of myself but now I need to move on. Anita is old...
