Should You Try Cabin Camping With Your Pets?

Image
Does camping with your pets sound like it could be fun? But testing the water before you jump in seems prudent. Or maybe you’re a long-time camper looking for an upgrade. In either case, cabin camping with your pets could be the perfect solution!   I love camping with my Airedale Terrier, Bailey. And we’ve spent many nights car camping and backcountry camping around the U.S. As much as we love sleeping outdoors, it’s not always the most viable option. Sometimes the weather isn’t conducive to camping. Or when I’m just passing through an area and will only be staying one night, it might not be worth the hassle of setting up a campsite. Hotels are great. And it’s easy to find pet friendly hotels these days. But they’re not always in my travel budget. For us, cabin camping works out great! Tia – 2 year old female German Shepherd Cross

Image
Tia is a 2 year old female German Shepherd Cross. She was originally Nastia rescued from UKRAINE, and adopted in the UK on November 2021 as a puppy. Unfortunately due to personal health circumstances, the family needs to re-home her ASAP. Tia is a beautiful dog. She has a good well-balanced temperament. Tia can be shy at the start. Tia is very trustful around adults and kids. Good with dogs. Not tested for cats. She doesn’t have any notable behaviour issues. Tia is a shy dog to start with but once she knows you she is very loving and friendly. Tia has lots of energy and enjoys walks. Her recall can be a bit hit-and-miss so I keep her on a long lead in busy areas as she loves to play with other dogs. Tia has socialised with other dogs as my children have dogs and just want to play. She travels in the car well as she comes to work with me every day and follows me around the home. Tia sleeps in the utility but she would be happy sleeping on a bed. She is house-trained, she likes

Dylan – 1-2 year old male Cross-Breed

Image
Dylan is a 1-2 year old male Cross-Breed. “I was currently located in Cyprus and able to fly to the UK next month. Hey there, I’m Dylan, with a heart full of love and a story to share. Let me tell you, life hasn’t always been easy for me. But thanks to some incredible people, I’m ready to find my forever home and be the best companion you could ever imagine. You see, I was stuck in an overcrowded pound in a pack of dogs and I ended up being bullied quite a bit. I was skinny and feeling pretty low. But then, like a ray of sunshine, the rescue volunteers came into my life. From the moment they laid eyes on me, I felt their love and knew things were about to change. I’m what they call a “people’s dog.” That means I adore humans, and I’m not shy about showing it. Those wonderful volunteers quickly became my favourite people, and I couldn’t get enough of their affection. Now, at the shelter, I’m doing just fine walking with other dogs and playing in the playground. But when it come

Daisy – 2 year old female Weimaraner cross Collie

Image
Daisy is a 2 year old female Weimaraner cross Collie. She is looking for a new home. She is from a lovely family home but is just too smart for a child’s first dog. Daisy is spayed etc. She is currently living with kids, cats & dogs. Daisy doesn’t have any major problems, other than boredom causing her to invent her adventures. Daisy is currently on a small holding, with no fences worth a mention, so has not been used to boundaries being able to wander at will. So she does need a decent high fence. Daisy would be ideal for any dog sport, she is the ideal build and size for something energetic like Cani X or Agility. Many of the skills needed she already practices on her own. Daisy does need more put into her training Daisy is currently near the Sanctuary (Kidwelly). Adopters will need to be able to travel to meet her.

Queenie – 3-4 year old female Cross-Breed

Image
Queenie is a 3-4 year old female Cross-Breed. She is a beautiful big girl who is being returned to rescue due to a change in her owner’s circumstances and through no fault of her own. Queenie shares her home with Sheba who is also looking for a home. It would be lovely if we could find them a home together, however, we would also look to rehome Queenie with other dogs or equally, she could cope as an only dog. She gets on well with other dogs outside the home as well. Queenie loves to play and has lots of energy, she would suit an active family who would keep her mind and body busy! Queenie is a big cuddle bug and loves attention and belly rubs. Although she is good with children of all ages, Queenie can get excited and jump up at them. As she is a big girl, we would suggest older or dog-savvy children only who would be able to cope with this. She is housetrained and can be left for short periods. Queenie can be strong on a lead and reactive with this, so will need someone exp

Things To Consider When Visiting Annapolis With Pets

Image
Visiting Annapolis with pets is fascinating–though a little challenging. But don’t worry! We’ve got all the information you’ll need to plan a trip that’s fun for everyone.   Annapolis is one of those romantic, waterfront towns that people flock to for long weekends away from the hustle and bustle – and for good reason! It’s a town steeped in history, with brick-paved streets and more 18th-century brick buildings than any other city in the country. Losing track of time is easy when you’re wandering through manicured neighborhoods, window shopping at the boutiques and galleries, and sitting at the harbor watching the boats go by. But experiencing the city with dogs is a little more challenging. We’re big on including our dogs in our activities, and we found Annapolis to be a mixed bag when it comes to pet friendly things to do. For example, of the 33 “Sights to See” listed in the Annapolis visitor guide, only a few are pet friendly. So toss the guide and don’t worry … we’re sh
