Cyda – 4 year old female Cross-Breed

Image
Cyda is a 4 year old female Cross-Breed. She is possible with some Labrador with a hint of Shepherd. Cyda is s rescued from Cyprus through no fault of her own needs to find a new home. Cyda is now safe in a foster home in Melton Mowbray as her family’s circumstances have changed and they can no longer care for her. Cyda is a happy, Labrador-sized girl (with perhaps some German Shepherd) who has been well cared for by her former family. Cyda has been in the UK since March 2019 when she arrived as a young puppy. Cyda is a happy girl, good with other dogs she meets on walks. Cyda loves her humans and would do well as an only dog. At present, she is sharing her foster home with a male dog and could share with another dog provided it was a calm dog. Cyda is also sharing her foster home with 4 cats and has no issues with them, so she could share with a dog-friendly cat, after proper introductions. Cyda generally walks well on the lead and loves her walks. She has a reasonable recall

Rea is clean in the house, walks nicely on a lead and is a super love bug. She is not high-energy. Rea will be fine with or without dogs, and older children will be fine but we haven’t cat tested. Rea will make someone very happy. She is fostered in Surrey.

Honey – 1 year old female Cane Corso

Image
Honey is a 1 year old female Cane Corso. She came into our care along with her sister Luna at the beginning of January. Luna had been used for breeding. Honey had managed to escape it we are unsure why. Luna landed on her paws soon after she arrived and bagged herself a trial but poor Honey is still waiting for her turn. Honey is a sweet girl but she can be sensitive initially, although it does not take long to make friends. As soon as she trusts you she lets her goofy, playful side shine through. Honey is a firm favourite amongst our volunteer dog walkers and those who have had the pleasure of spending time with her soon fall in love. Honey can be selective with other dogs and does require further socialisation so at this stage we feel she would be best suited to being the only pet in the home. Honey is only a youngster with bags of potential and we are desperate to see her excel in a home where she is truly wanted. Honey would benefit from an adult-only home and could be le

Fiona – 9 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross

Image
Fiona is a 9 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross. She is looking for a new home after sadly being picked up as a stray. Fiona is a gentle and sweet girl who would like an owner who has had dogs before in a house (no flats please) with direct access to a garden. As you can see from her picture, she has a sore eye, however, she has been to the vet for treatment and it is healing well. Although she is fine with other dogs when out and about she would prefer to be the only dog in the home. No cats, please. She could live with children aged 12+.

Murphy – 6 year old male Shih Tzu Cross

Image
Murphy is a 6 year old male Shih Tzu Cross. He is looking for a new home following a change in his owner’s circumstances. Murphy is a funny, quirky little guy who enjoys playing games of chase and tug! Although he isn’t the most affectionate dog, he rolls around for tickles and is happy to be petted and brushed by people he trusts. When he meets people outside of the home he is generally friendly and curious to meet them, however, at home he can be fearful of new people and become anxious, displaying territorial behaviour. Therefore, he needs an experienced, patient owner who has had dogs before and can manage these situations. Murphy is a clever dog that thrives off attention, however, he can be anxious when left on his own so needs an owner who is around for most of the day in a home with direct access to a garden. Murphy is fine with other dogs when out and about so could live with a new dog in his new home (pending introductions). No cats, please. Murphy has ‘Queen Anne’s

Zara – 11 month old female Cross-Breed

Image
Zara is an 11 month old female Cross-Breed. She is fostered in Norwich Norfolk. She was found abandoned at a woodyard in Romania with her brother when they were a few weeks old. Zara has since grown up in the Crivatu public shelter but is now looking for a home in the UK. Zara is a friendly and playful pup who will just need some basic training once adopted. Zara is good with other dogs and has mixed well with children of seven plus. She has been around cats but was a little overly interested and would chase if allowed to. When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs).

Reginald – 5-6 year old male Cross-Breed

Image
Reginald is a 5-6 year old male Cross-Breed. He is fostered in Norwich Norfolk. He had an owner in Romania who callously moved to Germany and just left him out in the street. Reginald wandered into a village and befriended some dogs there but had to be saved when the local mayor threatened to poison them all. After being let down by humans so badly twice we were happy to take him to the UK and endeavour to find him a future that doesn’t involve such unkindness and hostility. Reginald is a calm, borderline lazy, boy who has little expectations. He is friendly and happy to be around people and other dogs but would be equally happy as an only dog. Reginald is happy and content to sleep away the hours on a comfortable bed. He does enjoy his walks but needs to gain confidence on a lead. Reginald is looking for a calm household in an adult-only environment. He is not cat tested. When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will

Fergus – 8 month old male Cross-Breed

Image
Fergus is an 8 month old male Cross-Breed. He is not neutered due to age, DHPPIRL vaccinated and microchipped. He is blood tested for all diseases including brucellosis testing. Fergus is Flea and worm treated. He will travel with a fitted collar and on approved transport. He loves human contact. He loves belly tickles Fergus is available for adoption after being abandoned in the forest in Romania. Fergus is currently in private foster where he is being cared for by NGO rescuer Andreea. No behaviours have been noted whilst in Andrea’s care. Fergus has no bite history whilst being in foster. Fergus has some house training as he is in private foster, However further support is needed after the long journey and being in an unfamiliar environment. Exercise should not be too highly fixated upon him entering a new home. We need him to become comfortable with being in his new surroundings with new people, sounds smell and experiences before introducing him to any further, overwhelming st

Toby – 1-2 year old male Cross-Breed

Image
Toby is a 1-2 year old male Cross-Breed, He is with a lovable face and an endearing personality to match (DOB 12.07.2021). From 5 months old Toby has settled into a family home with young children and a cat. Toby is a playful dog but can become jumpy and anxious around unknown people, children and crowded/loud places. Toby would gladly spend all day chewing on toys, running around the garden or enjoying a much-loved walk in the countryside. Toby especially loves the winter months and gets very excited in snow and ice. He is very active and excitable but walks well on the lead. Although initially a little apprehensive when meeting new dogs, he is friendly and playful off the lead, so much so that he can run off to chase and not respond to recall. Toby can be protective around his family and can be wary of certain breeds of dogs. Toby is a happy chappy, loves cuddles and attention and is very loyal. He deserves a home that can dedicate time, patience and the attention he needs

Summer – 5 year old male Cross-Breed

Image
Summer is a 5 year old male Cross-Breed. “Sadly due to changing circumstances in two homes, I am now in rescue kennels. It’s so so sad. I don’t know why folks think we dogs don’t get upset when we have to leave our homes when we have done nothing wrong. My kennel uncle says I am full of fun and so clever and I learn very easily. I just want a home so PLEASE think about me. I’m sure there is a family out there who could love me and in turn, I will love them back. I don’t understand why I’m homeless now. Surely my next family will love me and keep me forever. That is my dearest wish. Adoptapaws Rescue Uk is looking after me.” – Quote
