Lily – 4 year old female Cross-Breed

Lily is an approximately 4 year old female medium sized cross breed who was born around 2022. She is currently in a safe shelter in Romania, waiting for the opportunity to travel to the UK and find a loving forever home. Sadly, Lily has endured a very difficult and traumatic past after being rescued from a horrific kill shelter. Her experiences have understandably left her feeling frightened and unsure of the world around her.

She is a very worried and scared girl who will need someone willing to look beyond her initial fear and give her the opportunity to discover what it means to feel safe and loved. Lily has been through so much, and now she deserves a chance to leave her difficult past behind.

Lily will need plenty of time, patience and understanding to help her gradually recover her confidence. She is not a dog who will immediately settle into a new environment or feel comfortable with unfamiliar people, so her adopters will need to be prepared to take things slowly and allow her to progress at her own pace.  She needs a family who understands that helping a frightened dog overcome her past can take time, but who will be willing to offer her the consistency, kindness and affection she needs.

Lily has always lived with other dogs and would particularly benefit from having a calm, confident canine companion in her new home. Having another settled dog around could help reassure her and show her that she is safe, providing a positive example as she gradually adjusts to her new surroundings. Her compatibility with cats is currently unknown and has not been established.

Lily will need an experienced home with adopters who have the time, patience and understanding to help her work through the effects of her traumatic past. A peaceful and predictable household would be important, as she needs an environment where she can feel secure and gradually learn to trust the people around her. She is looking for a home with children aged twelve and over, or an adult only household, where her need for space and a gentle approach will be respected.

Lily is fully vaccinated and has also been blood tested. She will come with full rescue back up and ongoing support from PennyPaws Rescue, so her adopters will have assistance throughout the adoption process and beyond. A home check will be required before adoption, although this can be conveniently carried out by video.

Lily has had a very difficult start to life, but there is now an opportunity for her to experience something very different. She needs a special person or family who will not expect too much too soon and who understands that trust must be earned. With time, patience and a safe environment, Lily can hopefully begin to discover the happier life she deserves.

Phoebe is a 1-2 year old female Shepherd Cross. She sleeps downstairs in a large crate with the door open. Her current owner has been sleeping downstairs with her. Rama – 1 year old female Cross-Breed

Rama is a medium sized crossbreed aged around a year old. Rama fostered Norwich Norfolk. Rama was a pup born to a chained mum in Romania. Thankfully she was spared the horrendous fate of chained life when all of the dogs were handed over to a rescuer, Rama and her mother included. Rama is a quiet and sweet little girl who has lived in the shadow of her mum at the shelter. She’s now in a UK foster home and time spent with people is resulting in her absolutely flourishing. She is a quiet little girl, currently a little serious for her age, hopefully in the coming weeks she will learn more about the fun side of life. Connie – 2 year old female Cross-Breed

Meet Connie – From Surviving to Thriving Connie is a 2 year old female Puli Cross. Her story began in a public pound, where she grew up in harsh conditions. A year ago, she was rescued in a heartbreaking state – skin and bone, frightened and frail. With care, love, and patience, Connie has blossomed into a happy, affectionate girl.
