Aisha – 10 month old female Husky Cross
Aisha is a 10 month old female medium sized Husky cross who is currently being fostered in Norwich, Norfolk, East Anglia. She was born in January 2026 and has already experienced a difficult start to life after being abandoned by the side of a busy road in Romania. Thankfully, she was rescued before anything tragic could happen.
Despite her unfortunate beginnings, Aisha is a sweet and affectionate girl who is described as a joy to be around. She has a lovely nature and is now ready to begin the next chapter of her life with a family who will give her the time, patience and care she needs as she grows into adulthood.
As Aisha is still a young dog, she will need the usual training, guidance and consistency that come with raising a teenage dog. She is, however, eager to learn and keen to please, which should make continuing her education a rewarding experience for her new family.
With patient encouragement, positive training and plenty of opportunities to learn, she has the potential to develop into a wonderful and well mannered companion. Her new owners should be prepared to help her build on what she already knows while giving her the structure and reassurance she needs at this important stage of her development.
Aisha is mixing very well with the other dogs in her foster home and appears to enjoy their company. She could happily join a household with existing dogs, but she would also be perfectly content being the only dog, meaning she could suit a variety of different home arrangements. Her compatibility with cats has not yet been assessed, so she is currently untested around them.
Aisha could also live with respectful children aged eight and over, making her a possible addition to a family with older children who understand how to interact appropriately with dogs.
Aisha has already overcome a difficult beginning, and now all she needs is a family willing to give her the opportunity to grow, learn and enjoy life in a permanent home. In return, they will have a sweet, loving and eager to please young dog to welcome into their family.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe. Your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness).
It will take AT LEAST 3 to 6 months for your dog to settle in and for you to know your dog fully, (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and during situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip lead as a back up safety measure.
The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm.
Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the rib cage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer.
Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs.
Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a crate.
Fences and gates must be a minimum of 5ft in height and secure.
