Dora – 2 year old female Cross-Breed

Dora is a lovely 2-year-old medium-sized cross breed girl who is looking for a patient and understanding forever home. She weighs 15.5 kg and is slightly over 50 cm tall. She is currently living in North Yorkshire and can be visited by arrangement.

Dora is beautiful girl who is kind and affectionate and enjoys attention from the people she loves and trusts. She loves a good tummy rub and nothing makes her happier than a cosy morning cuddle in bed.

Around the house she likes to be cheeky – she will bring items to her humans to show off, whether it’s shoes, toys or clothes that have been left within reach! She also enjoys digging in sandpits or investigating mole hills when out on walks.

With her family, Dora is a real sweetheart and very loving, but she often feels insecure around unfamiliar people and needs time to build trust. Like many rescue dogs, she finds women easier to trust than men.

She walks nicely on the lead but does not enjoy being approached by strangers and finds busy environments, crowds or groups of people overwhelming.

She can also get scared of unexpected loud noises. Having said that, she is significantly more relaxed when accompanied by another dog.

Visitors coming into the home can also make her uneasy. She is a sensitive dog who prefers predictable situations and a calm routine.

On the positives, Dora is completely comfortable going to the vets and attending doggy day care where she has always been very well behaved.

Where Dora is truly in her element though is in the company of other dogs. She absolutely thrives around them and does wonderfully at day care.

She is playful and is definitely the happiest when she is with her doggie friends. In fact, she often prefers interacting with dogs over humans, she seems to gain confidence from their presence.

Dora would be happiest in a quiet home and a stable environment where her needs are met and she can feel safe. She would do best with an experienced rescue dog owner who understands how to help a nervous dog build confidence and trust.

Having a calm and confident resident dog would greatly benefit Dora as she learns a lot from other dogs and they provide her with a sense of security.

Dora is currently in North Yorkshire and can be visited upon arrangement.

She comes fully vaccinated, spayed and with an EU pet passport.

Adoption is subject to Home Check and Adoption fee.

Full RBU provided.
