Nova – 2-3 year old female Whippet Cross

Nova – 2–3 year old female Whippet Cross (Medium/Large, slim build)ova is a 2–3 year old spayed female Whippet cross currently in foster care in Doncaster. She has a slim, athletic build and enjoys running and open space.

Nova is affectionate, intelligent and sensitive. She thrives on routine and bonds closely with her primary person, often choosing to stay nearby. She enjoys fuss and interaction but benefits from calm, predictable handling.

She is friendly with people and dogs. She may bark briefly when visitors first arrive but settles quickly with reassurance and positive guidance. She has not shown aggression.

Nova plays well with other dogs and would benefit from living with a calm or playful resident dog for companionship and confidence. If she feels unsure, she will give herself space rather than escalate.

She is housetrained, crate trained and understands basic commands.

She walks well on a lead and harness without pulling and is calm around other dogs when out. She travels well in the car and prefers quieter walking environments, as busy areas can make her nervous.

She is improving steadily with continued exposure and training.

Nova is an active dog who enjoys running and outdoor activity, but she also settles well in the home and sleeps soundly overnight.

Nova would suit a patient, structured home able to provide regular exercise, routine and ongoing confidence-building. A secure garden is important for safe exercise. An adult-only home or one with older children would be most appropriate.
