Bonnie – 3 year old female Cross-Breed

Bonnie, also known as Bonbon, is an approximately 3 year old spayed female large mixed breed currently in foster care in Doncaster.

Bonnie is a gentle and sensitive dog who can be shy when meeting new people. She prefers a calm environment and takes time to build trust. Once bonded, she is affectionate and enjoys close companionship.

She is not aggressive but can be nervous around unfamiliar visitors. A quiet household with limited visitors will help her feel secure. She benefits from patient handling and consistent routine.

Bonnie thrives in the company of other dogs and must live with a calm, confident resident dog for reassurance and companionship.

She has previously lived with cats and may attempt to initiate play, so slow and managed introductions are required.

She is housetrained and crate trained. She sleeps overnight in her crate and can be left alone for short periods.

Bonnie walks well on a lead in quieter areas but remains cautious in busier environments. She is currently exercised on a long line due to a flight risk, and a secure garden is essential.

Continued confidence-building and structured training will be important.

Bonnie enjoys gentle play, grooming and relaxed time with her people. She responds well to food-based training.

Bonnie would suit a calm, rural or low-traffic home with patient adopters experienced in handling shy or sensitive dogs. Adults or older children who understand her need for space would be most appropriate.
