Mouse – 3 year old female Terrier Cross
Small but mighty, Mouse is a 3 year old female Terrier Cross bursting with personality and joy. She’s looking for a special home where she can truly shine — please read her full profile to see if you might be the one for her.
Mouse is incredibly people-friendly and absolutely lives for playtime. She will happily bring you her toys again and again and would play all day if you let her. She forms strong bonds with her humans and adores being involved in everything you do.
Because Mouse loves her people so much, she can sometimes become protective and may guard her owners both in the home and while out and about.
With clear boundaries, consistency, and being treated like a dog, not a handbag, she has made fantastic progress in her foster home. Her foster family will ensure her new adopters are fully shown the training and management strategies that have helped her succeed.
Mouse prefers her personal space when it comes to other dogs. She can be reactive to some dogs while on lead, but she has learned that ignoring them and focusing on her walk, especially when treats are involved, is much more rewarding.
She would thrive in a quieter, less dog-populated area where she can enjoy relaxed strolls. She walks beautifully on lead and loves a good sniffy adventure.
Mouse would love a home with a secure, private garden where she can safely play, burn off energy, and enjoy her favourite games with you.
At home, Mouse is a world-class cuddler. She loves snuggling on the sofa or curling up in bed with you and gives the best cuddles. She also adores scratches and responds with the most hilarious little dance, guaranteed to make you laugh.
Although she’s currently in foster with a cat, Mouse does enjoy chasing them, so a cat-free home would be best.
Mouse is great with visiting children aged 8+ who are respectful of her boundaries and enjoy playing ball with her. For a full-time home, she would be best suited to a family with children 14+ who can also help with her ongoing training.
Mouse may be small in size, but she is huge in character. She will keep you smiling, laughing, and feeling loved every single day. And let’s be honest, those ears are pretty hard to resist.
Mouse is a truly special little girl who will bring endless fun, affection, and joy to the right home.
Mouse is currently located in Basingstoke with her foster family.
