Clara – 7-8 year old female Mastiff Cross

Please meet Cuddly Clara! Clara is an absolutely gorgeous dope on a rope, she is a mastiff mix but who knows what her breeding, what I can say is she is an absolute dope and everyone that meets her loves her! Clara is 7/8 years old.

Clara was saved from the Chinese meat market by Candy’s rescue. Yes dogs are food in China, if you don’t know the meat markets are absolutely evil and the treatment the dogs get and the things they have seen is nothing short of hell.

Clara is one of the lucky ones and has come to us in the UK to find her forever home.

If you are not aware, there are no animal welfare laws in China so no dog is ever safe there, which is why the dogs are sent overseas to be rehomed, to make sure they are safe and loved for life!

Well, Where do I start with this Dope? She is 40kg of pure love, she is a gentle giant that just loves to be cuddled and give you her paw and she has the most smoochy face! She is a total joy to have and just likes to lay close to you.

She walks lovely on a lead and is good off lead, She mixes fine with other dogs of all sizes and is also fine with cats and doesn’t take any notice of them in the home.

To be honest, once she is in her bed snoozing, you could easily forgot you had her – except the thunderous snoring which feels like a minor earthquake!

Unfortunately, when Clara was in China She had her ears and tail docked, I am not sure why this was done but unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it and it doesn’t affect her medically.

She is a happy healthy girl who doesn’t mind life in the slow lane but is also happy to pick up the pace if that’s what you want to do! She loves rolling around in the grass – something She has never done in China as her life was just a concrete cell!

Clara is a beautiful soppy lady and will make a very rewarding addition to her new family. Clara has settled well into our routine and loves pack life, She loves to explore but will always come back when She hears the treat tub opening!!

Clara could be housed with children age 8 years plus that are used to larger breed dogs, She doesn’t have a bad bone in her but may knock smaller children over.

Clara is neutered, microchipped, de flead and wormed and fully vaccinated, She has also been tested negative for Brucella.

Clara is house trained, walks well on the lead once She is confident with you, She is not destructive, can be left happily for short periods, She loves to be left snoozing on my bed.

She is a very social lady so could live with other dogs or would be equally happy as the only dog with lots of human company! Clara is adorable both inside and out, and to think She almost ended up on someone’s plate is just heartbreaking.

Clara is an inquisitive and responsive lady, She is quick to learn and easy to train when food is around, She loves her home comforts and a cuddle, and likes to sleep on the bed with you if She is allowed, although She is equally settled downstairs.

Clara travels very well in the car, She is just an all-round pleasure to have, She is cheeky cute, has the most adorable chops that I am forever playing with!

Whoever adopts this gorgeous girl will be very lucky indeed as she really has the most amazing character, and I am sure she is grateful to be out of China and just wants to love her humans.
