Amlet – 7 year old male Labrador Retriever

Hello, friends! My name is Amlet, and I’m a sweet?natured, friendly black Labrador cross, around 7 years young. For the past three years I’ve been living at CyDRA shelter, patiently waiting for a forever home. Could it finally be with you?

I might not love labels, but I do embrace one classic Labrador trait with pride: I absolutely love food!

After what I’ve been through, I think I’ve earned it. I also love water—paddling in the sea, splashing in puddles, even a good hose?down makes me wiggle with joy.

And my favourite game is chasing my ball; I’m a keen fetch partner and will happily play until it’s time for cuddles and a nap.

You see, I spent my entire life chained up, barely surviving on scraps of food and little water. Then one day, everything changed.

A kind stranger saw me and contacted the vet services, who called in a rescue team. That’s how I finally got a chance at a better life—and moved into the shelter, where I learned what it means to be treated with love and respect.

Because of my difficult past, I can be a little unsure around other dogs at first. With slow, gentle introductions, I warm up—and once I trust, I love deeply.

I’ve happily shared my kennel with several female dog friends, and I do best in calm, respectful company.

There’s still so much of life I haven’t experienced—exploring new walks, splashing on adventures, playing ball in the garden, and cuddles on the couch—but I’m ready to start now.

I’m looking for a quiet, loving home where I can feel safe, relax, and show off my affectionate personality (and yes, my adorable fluffy tail).

My ideal home:

*Peaceful and patient, with time for gentle training and reassurance.
*Either as an only dog or with a calm female companion.
*Access to outdoor fun—water play and ball games are my happy place!

I’m ready to pack my bags. Will you be the one to open your heart and welcome me home?

Phoebe is a 1-2 year old female Shepherd Cross. She sleeps downstairs in a large crate with the door open. Her current owner has been sleeping downstairs with her. She will sometimes wake during the night to make her home aware she needs the toilet. Phoebe wakes up most mornings at 6 am. Phoebe is happy to be groomed/brushed by the female in the home.
