Keith – 2 year old male Kangal Cross

Keith is a 2.5 year old male Kangal Cross currently in Cyprus. With his striking looks and intelligent nature, he’s the full package — a big, handsome boy with both brains and heart.

Since arriving at the shelter, Keith has quickly become a favourite among the team.

No one knows how anyone could have abandoned him on the streets of Nicosia, but their loss is certainly his future family’s gain.

Keith loves people — he soaks up every bit of attention and affection from volunteers.

He walks well on the lead once his initial excitement calms down, and he may have lived in a home before. He’s great with other dogs and could happily live with a calm female dog or be the only dog in the household.

Keith hasn’t met any cats yet, though it’s suspected he might chase them.

He’d love a family home with older children (10+), mainly because of his size and enthusiasm — at around 35 kilograms, he could easily knock over a smaller child without meaning to.

The shelter team has also discovered that Keith can be a bit of an escape artist, so he’ll need a secure garden and plenty of stimulation to keep his active mind and body engaged.

Keith is bright, loving, and ready for a new adventure. With the right family who understands large, intelligent breeds, he’ll make an incredible and loyal companion.
