Dave – 1 year old male Labrador Retriever Cross

Meet delicious Dave — the cuddly charmer from Cyprus! Dave is a 1 year old male Labrador Retriever Cross, medium-sized at around 20 kilograms. A firm favourite of the shelter team, this little fella hasn’t put a paw wrong since he arrived as a stray.

Hugely loving, immensely cuddly, and incredibly affectionate — Dave’s capacity to love knows no bounds! This doesn’t just extend to his human companions but to his furry friends too.

Dave seeks out kisses and cuddles from anyone willing to share them, nuzzling into people’s shoulders for a proper full-body hug.

With his doggy companions, he’s equally sociable and kind — welcoming new dogs to the shelter with open paws, initiating play with those who want to, or sitting calmly with the ones who are a bit unsure.

Dave is such a great all-round kid — balanced and happy in equal measures.

His ideal home would be an active one that understands he’s young, playful, and full of life. He’ll thrive with physical and mental stimulation, and a large secure garden is a must — he’s known to be a bit of an escape artist! In a loving home, that urge may fade, but high fencing will still be important just in case Dave decides to test his skills.

Dave would be happy living with another dog or as an only dog. A companion dog would be lovely for him, but he’d also enjoy meeting other dogs for playtime.

He could live with children over 10 years old and hasn’t been cat tested.

Dave is young, with medium energy levels, and like most shelter rescues, will benefit from further training. The rewards, though, will be plentiful — Dave will give back a lifetime of love. Seems like a fair exchange to us!

Phoebe is a 1-2 year old female Shepherd Cross. She sleeps downstairs in a large crate with the door open. Her current owner has been sleeping downstairs with her.
