Rosie- 1 year old female Cross-Breed

Image
Rosie is a 1 year old cross breed puppy, expected to be smaller and medium-sized when fully grown (current weight: 10 kg, shoulder height: 41 cm). She was dumped on the roadside along with her 3 siblings where their life was at constant danger. Luckily they were picked up and handed over to the local shelter where Rosie and her brother (Ricky) have been living since. Rosie is an absolute sweetheart, she has all the puppy energies and loves running and playing and being included in everything. She is very playful and kind, cuddly and friendly with everyone. Rosie loves other dogs and wants to play with all of them. She loves nothing more than running around with her shelter mates and having a good play. Rosie would be best suited for a family where she has not left alone for long periods and there is time for her training, including toilet training and standard puppy training. She would be happiest in an active family where she is taken on nice walks and holidays and is included in...

Conor – 3 year old male Beagle cross Hound

Image
Conor is a 3-year-old male Beagle cross Hound. This gorgeous boy weighs around 25kg and has a gentle, soulful expression that perfectly matches his kind nature. Conor’s story started out rough — he was found wandering the streets before being taken to a pound in Galicia, Northern Spain. Sadly, he spent nearly 12 months in one of the toughest pounds in the country. Despite that, his spirit remained unbroken, and now he’s safe in residence near Lugo, finally getting the care and kindness he deserves. He’s a handsome hound mix who’s healthy, active, and ready for a new start. Conor is friendly with people, though a little shy when meeting new faces. Once he feels safe, he quickly warms up and shows his affectionate, relaxed side. He’s wonderful with other dogs, enjoying playtime and socialising, and he’s been cat tested — with great results. This shows what a gentle and adaptable dog he truly is. Conor loves being outdoors, whether he’s exploring on walks or simply enjoying fresh air...

Winnie – 3-4 year old female Cross-Breed

Image
Winnie is a small crossbreed aged three to four years old. Winnie is fostered in Hingham Norfolk. Winnie came to us a a couple of years ago from the Radauti public shelter in Romania. She arrived terrified of everyone and everything but over time has emerged into a plucky and cheeky little character who is loved by all in her foster home. Winnie is still worried by strangers and doesn’t enjoy being picked up but in many ways is a quietly confident little girl who is very popular amongst the pack in her foster home. Winnie will need at least one other steady dog in her forever home. She enjoys her walks but is still a little worried about having her lead put on but this too is improving daily and she is becoming less tense about it. Winnie has been fine with the safe rescue cat. She would like a settled home environment with no children. Her adopters will need to allow her time to get to know and trust them but she will reward them when she reveals the sweet and clever little charac...

Darcy – 2 year old female Cross-Breed

Image
Darcy is a medium sized crossbreed aged around two years old. Darcy is fostered in Badersfield Norfolk. This sweet and gentle girl was living in the Botosani public shelter when we visited in October last year and we just had to offer her the chance to come to the UK to find a home. Darcy settled brilliantly into her UK foster home when she arrived last year and was quickly adopted. She has behaved perfectly in the time she’s been there but has recently been returned through no fault of her own. She is a submissive and amiable girl who mixes well with the other dogs. She could also live happily as an only dog in her forever home. Darcy is a little hand shy and will cower at sudden movements so has clearly not always known kindness from humans. She loves a cuddle and a fuss and could live with respectful children aged five plus. When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you wil...

Image
Vegas is a 3-year-old male Cross-Breed. He’s a small dog with a strikingly beautiful face and an irresistible personality that shines through in everything he does. Playful, confident, and affectionate, Vegas embodies the kind of loving energy that instantly brings joy to anyone around him. Vegas has a wonderfully balanced temperament. He enjoys racing around with the bigger dogs, showing off his confidence and sociable side, yet he can also be soft and gentle when playing with the smaller puppies. This adaptability makes him an absolute pleasure to be around, no matter the company he keeps. Vegas is also very people-oriented, always happy to spend time with his humans and eager for affection. He thrives on belly rubs, praise, and gentle attention, making him the perfect companion for someone looking for both playfulness and tenderness in a dog. His happy spirit and loving nature make him a true ray of sunshine in any home. He is fully vaccinated and blood tested, so he’s ready ...

Copper – 9 month old male Beagle Cross

Image
Meet Copper, a 9 month old male Beagle Cross who’s as charming as he is cheeky — a real little heartbreaker with a twinkle in his eye. Copper and his siblings were found abandoned outside a church in Cyprus, a sadly common dumping spot for unwanted puppies. Thankfully, they were in good condition and clearly had been cared for before. A local rescuer took them in and gave them a safe place to stay, and it didn’t take long for their bright, loving personalities to shine through. Now they’re ready to start their new lives. Copper is a gentle, happy boy with a lovable personality and a quiet confidence about him. He’s affectionate and people-focused, always keen to be part of whatever’s going on. He adores cuddles, and once he’s had his fill of affection, he’ll suddenly burst into zoomies around the yard before trotting back for more strokes as if nothing happened. He’s playful and curious, often watching what his siblings are up to before joining in their antics with a bouncy run an...

Fivos – 5 year old male Husky Cross

Image
Fivos is a 5 years old male Husky cross of approximately 25kgs and is currently in foster care in Norwich. Fivos was found as a stray in Cyprus and lived for about 2 years in a shelter, with no chance of being adopted in Cyprus we flew him to the UK. Fivos has thrived since his arrival, he appreciates home comforts and enjoys playing with toys. He travels well in a car, is housetrained and can be left for a couple of hours on his own. Walks and adventures are a must for Fivos, he is good with meeting other dogs of any size as long as introductions are managed. He meets dogs every day on his walks and enjoys the company. Fivos is a typical husky and has a stubborn streak, but he does understand the word ‘No’. In seeking his forever home Fivos needs a big breed experienced owner, someone who will continue with his training and become his pack leader. His owner(s) will be outdoor active people. Whilst Fivos has shared a home with another dog we would recommend that he be adopted as ...

Benji – 2 year old male Cross-Breed

Image
Our extra special boy Benji is approximately two years old and the most adorable small cross breed. Benji weighs just five kilos and measures seven inches from shoulder to paw. Having been abandoned on the streets, Benji has been in our Cyprus shelter for just one month. Benji is a happy bubbly little boy. From the first glance at Benji’s face, it is perfectly clear that he is full of character and personality but with impeccable manners. Benji is alert and attentive and his radar ears are always on duty. He is incredibly good looking with his rich tan coat, a white flash to his chest and tummy. Benji’s puppy dog eyes are absolute showstoppers. This dear little dog is adorable and so deserving. In fact, Benji is the perfect adoption candidate for a very lucky family. Benji walks nicely on his lead. He seems to mix perfectly well with other dogs, cats and children. https://www.dogsblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/1000068481-1.mp4

Rex – 1 year old male Kangal Cross

Image
Meet regal Rex, a 1.5 year old male Kangal Cross who weighs around 40 kilograms. This beautiful boy was found straying in Nicosia, sadly dumped. He was discovered in a malnourished and sorry state — the poor boy was found just in time. No one ever came forward to claim him, so he found himself entering a large municipality shelter. For months now, no one has taken an interest in this striking and loving dog. Dogs like Rex, due to their size, often find themselves languishing in kennels for months or even years. We really don’t want that future for this gentle giant. People are often put off by his size, even though he’s such a soft guy. Rex has lots of amazing qualities in spite of his size. He’s remarkably sweet and affectionate with people, adores fuss, and craves a good kiss and cuddle. His sweet nature has made him a firm favourite with the shelter staff. Rex isn’t the greatest fan of other dogs, so we recommend a home with no other pets. He will need a home with some space and...

Cricket – 2 year old male Beagle Cross

Image
Cricket is a 2-year-old male Beagle Cross. He is currently in Romania and is available for adoption. Cricket has been vaccinated and blood tested, flea and worm treated, microchipped, and neutered. After being kept on a chain by his previous keeper in Romania, Cricket is now looking for an understanding and patient family that will help him settle in slowly with lots of love and reassurance after his long journey home. Cricket is very friendly and would thrive in a home with a secure garden for playtime. He cannot live with small children or cats, but he can live with young adults aged 15 and older and another dog. The rescue organisation, Meadow Of Hope Dog Rescue UK, provides ongoing support, and applications and checks are required for adoption.

Bonnie – 5 month old female Cross-Breed

Image
Bonnie is a lively 5-month-old female cross-breed, born in January 2024, who finds herself in need of a loving home after being abandoned in Romania alongside her two siblings. Currently under the care of the NGO rescuer Andreea, Bonnie is fortunate to be in a private foster home. She embodies the spirit of puppyhood, displaying a playful and cheerful demeanor, often seen frolicking outdoors with her siblings, her joy evident in her fondness for chasing tennis balls. Bonnie has been meticulously cared for; she’s received vaccinations, undergone blood tests, and has been treated for fleas and worms. Additionally, she’s been microchipped, though she has not yet been spayed due to her young age. With no known allergies or intolerances, Bonnie requires no regular medication. However, she will thrive in a home that can provide dedicated support for her training, including house training and ongoing socialization. Given her playful nature, a secure garden is a must for her safety...

Spirit – 3 year old male Cross-Breed

Image
Home for Spirit Available for adoption. Hello there! My name is Spirit, a 3 year old male Cross-Breed from Romania. I was rescued from a field where I was attached to a chain 24 hours a day. My fur was matted, my skin was sore and I was crawling with fleas; it was so uncomfortable for me. Despite those awful days, weeks and years of my life, I remain forgiving and happy. I’m super friendly with people, other dogs and children over 10. I am not used to cats. I love to play, run around and roll in the long grass now that I am free from those horrible chains. I currently reside in private foster in Romania under the care of NGO Andreea. I am super excited for what the future holds for me and what adventures can be made now that I have a new lease of life. Health: Vet examined – Yes Neutered – Yes Blood tested – Yes Vaccinated – Yes Allergies or health conditions – None present Microchipped – Yes Flea and worm treated – Yes Brucellosis test – Yes Applic...

Boyka – 1 year old male Cross-Breed

Image
Boyka is 1 year old medium size male mix breed (appr. 15 kg). He was collected from a petrol station where he was dwelling as a stray for weeks. He now lives in a small sanctuary with a bunch of other dogs. Boyka is a very good boy with a sweet nature. He is nice with people and appreciates attention. He is well adaptable too and is taking everything in his stride. He is a sensitive and kind soul who cooperates nicely with his carers. He is a quiet doggie too who does not bark a lot. He loves playing with his doggie mates, he is on the submissive side, without any sign of dominance. He is a peaceful character who gets on well with all kinds of dogs. He is looking for a caring family that appreciates his sweet adaptable nature. Boyka would love a home where he is treated as a member of the family and is not left alone for extended periods. His training will need to continue and he will need to be given time to settle in his new home. As all rescue dogs, he will need time, patience,...

Albie – 5 year old male Cross-Breed

Image
Albie is a 5 year old male Cross-Breed. He was adopted through us several years ago but his family have had a baby and Albie isn’t coping. Albie has moved out to a relative’s home but this is only a temporary solution and he needs to find a new home as soon as possible. Albie is a very sweet, loving boy who just needs an adult-only home where someone is around a lot of the day (although is fine to be left for a few hours). Albie has a secure garden and places nearby where he can be walked without too many dogs in his face as he is a little lead reactive (this can improve with positive reinforcement and time). Albie is a nice boy who is at that great age with lots of life left, energy enough for long walks but able to relax when at home.

Rina – 7 month old female Cross-Breed

Image
Welcome the lovely Rina! Rina is a 7 month old female Cross-Breed who will be medium in size when fully grown. She’s currently living in a foster home in Devon and is settling in wonderfully. On May 18th we drove out of Nicosia to collect two puppies that had been rescued by a Forestry Department firefighter. The puppies were only around 8 weeks old and would not have survived much longer where they had been dumped. Rina and her sister Dee Dee settled into life at the Sanctuary well and loved meeting new people. Four months later, Rina flew to one of our wonderful foster homes where she is settling in well. This is what her foster family has to say: Rina is a beautiful, loveable pup with so much affection to give. She’s a bouncy girl and loves to play with her teddies (and any other soft items she may find!). Rina has got on perfectly with her foster brother, and they are often found snuggling together. Rina is getting used to walking on a lead and is a little nervous of the outsi...

Connie – 2 year old female Cross-Breed

Image
Meet Connie – From Surviving to Thriving Connie is a 2 year old female Puli Cross. Her story began in a public pound, where she grew up in harsh conditions. A year ago, she was rescued in a heartbreaking state – skin and bone, frightened and frail. With care, love, and patience, Connie has blossomed into a happy, affectionate girl. Today she’s full of life – her waggy tail never stops, she adores treats and cuddles, and she has even learned to smile when she’s with the people she loves. This beautiful girl has learned to trust again! Connie loves the company of other dogs and is especially playful – wrestling and mingling are her favourite games! She would be just as happy snuggling up on the sofa as she is joining in on adventures. Connie is still waiting in a small shelter in Hungary, dreaming of her forever family. She deserves a home where she will be cherished, spoiled, and loved for the sweet, resilient girl she is. For Connie, an experienced rescue dog home would be ideal –...
