Apple – 2 year old female Cross-Breed
Apple is a two year old female Cross-Breed and is medium in size. This sweet girl is initially very nervous but has made significant strides in adapting to her environment.
She now relaxes while kennel staff clean or feed, lying down calmly and happily accepting treats directly from hands. Apple becomes particularly enthusiastic and waggy at dinner time, showing her love for food.
Apple’s history with collars, harnesses, and leads is limited in the kennel setting. She reportedly walked on a harness in her previous home, but due to her nervousness, this has not yet been attempted in the kennel.
There is no information available on how she behaves on walks or around other people, dogs, children, or stimuli outside the kennel environment.
When it comes to other dogs, Apple has lived with them and does well, particularly with confident dogs her size or larger. She may attempt to assert dominance over smaller dogs.
While she had minor scraps with her kennel mate early on, likely due to the confined space, she has since settled and is generally waggy and playful with other dogs in open areas like the yard.
Ideally, Apple would thrive in a home with one or two confident dogs to help her build confidence and learn routines.

Apple is crate trained and handles being left alone well, both overnight and for a few hours during the day, without any issues. She remains calm and quiet overnight in the kennel. She has not exhibited any destructive behaviour.
While she was toilet trained in her previous home, her current status is unclear due to her time in the kennel. Apple travelled well in a crate during her transport to the kennel, though her behaviour in cars has not been tested since.
The ideal home for Apple would include someone who is home often or works from home, providing a stable and supportive environment. A home with one or two confident dogs, her size or larger, would help her adjust and thrive. Given her nervous nature and lack of exposure, homes with children or cats are not suitable.
Apple is a sweet and sensitive girl who has come a long way in overcoming her initial nervousness. She loves the company of happy, confident dogs, becoming waggy and playful in their presence.
With patient, loving owners and the right home environment, Apple has the potential to blossom into a loyal and wonderful companion.
