Milo – 9 year old male Shih Tzu

Milo is a 9 year old male Shih Tzu who has come to us after his lady owner passed away and her husband was struggling to care for him.

He was in a real mess and we had to get a fabulous groomer to brave the matts before getting our vets to sedate him and do the rest.

The poor fella was a snappy, angry boy as he must have been in pain with all the matted fur and pulling him about.

Since then, he has settled into a foster home with dogs and is generally a good boy. He has learned to snap when he doesn’t want to be brushed but we are working through this with a little grooming every day and he has really improved.

He loves a good walk, sniffing around and investigating, however if a dog comes near he likes to tell them off (a little half-heartedly). He loves walking with his foster family’s dogs though.

So Milo is a typical Shih Tzu – if you have one you’ll know! Feisty, arrogant, with a swagger! Loves a lap and is affectionate and loyal.

Unfortunately, Milo has had to have his eye removed as it was ulcerated and not healing.

He’s acting like he doesn’t know how any different.
