Jake – 12 year old male Cross Breed

Jake can bark and growl at people initially visiting the home. He will settle down eventually once he knows the other person isn’t a threat. Jake needs to gain trust with anyone new, he hasn’t been well socialised and unfortunately this has impacted his anxieties now.

His family have spoken with a dog trainer who has said that his reactivity is due to fear. Jake is a lovely boy with the people he trusts most. He is a very fun to be around.

He loves treats, cuddles and going for walks so he can sniff all the lovely new smells. He is a loyal and loving companion. Jake accepts a collar and lead. He is very good on his walks, he will walk quickly initially due to excitement.

Jake is generally walked in very quiet areas away from other stimuli and a home in a similar area will be ideal for him. He hasn’t shown any reactivity towards bikes which have gone past.

Jake is still very active for his age and would like a home who can give him lots of lovely walks. Jake is toilet trained but is not crate trained.

He has never been destructive and can be left alone with no issues however he would prefer someone who is around most of the time to keep him company.
