Hello there, I’m Soleil!

I was super lucky to fly to foster home in May where I have been learning the ropes from my new brother and have even found my comfy spot on the sofa. Currently in foster – Essex.

Everyone who sees me comments on my beautiful deep chestnut fur and soulful eyes. I am a gentle, yet shy girl who will need a calm and understanding family to help me settle.

I am best suited to an all-adult household, where I can feel safe and secure. I currently find little humans a bit overwhelming and I prefer to keep my distance.

While I may be shy at first, once I settle and trust my new family they will be rewarded with my happy dance – feet tapping and my tail wagging when I greet you! I also like to give lots of kisses so I hope you’re ready!

My happy place is the outdoors, I love to spend time in the garden although I will require a secure space with 6ft fencing. I love to sunbathe in the sun, romp around the garden playing with my foster brother or chase a ball (my favourite toy!)

I love other dogs and would like to find a home with another friend to share experiences with and to help my confidence. I’m even great with cats!

Important info about me:

I was bitten by a sandfly and developed leishmania, but don’t worry! It’s dormant and under control thanks to treatment. I just need to take an inexpensive daily medication and have regular blood tests (twice a year) to ensure it stays that way.

My rescuers are very knowledgeable about leishmania and assure me that it’s manageable and won’t shorten my life if monitored properly. Plus, it’s not contagious to humans or other animals
