Lucy – 7 year old female Beagle Cross
Lucy is a 7-year-old Beagle cross, likely mixed with a smaller terrier breed. She’s on the smaller side of medium, full of personality, and ready to find the forever home she so deserves.
Rescued from the streets of Cyprus while pregnant, Lucy’s puppies were quickly adopted, but she has been waiting in kennels for over two years. Despite this, her zest for life and love for people remains unshaken.
Lucy is a people-oriented dog who adores human interaction. She’s confident, friendly with new people, and her playful, cheeky personality makes her a joy to be around.
When let out of her kennel, she sprints like a rocket but quickly circles back to you for belly rubs. Her favourite pastime is splitting her energy between zoomies and lounging in the dirt for cuddles, always with her tail wagging furiously.
Lucy is energetic but not overwhelming, and with a more active lifestyle, she’s ready to thrive. She loves being outdoors, exploring green spaces, or playing in a secure garden. Her ideal home would be outside the city, with access to safe spaces where she can run and play.
While she does need some basic training (like curbing her tendency to jump up in excitement), Lucy is eager to please and already well-behaved in many ways—she returns to her kennel without protest after playtime.
Lucy is good with other dogs but doesn’t need a resident canine companion to be happy. She’d also be a lovely fit for families with children aged 6+ due to her friendly temperament, though her playful energy might require supervision at first. An adult-only home with plenty of love, cuddles, and treats would also suit her well.
Though currently living in a kennel, Lucy’s adaptable nature means she’ll likely settle quickly into a home environment. She has a clean bill of health and is ready to travel from Cyprus to meet her new family.
