Fern – 3 year old female Pointer Cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Fern is a three-year-old female Pointer Cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier, currently residing in Essex, UK.

She is on the smaller side of medium, with an adult age of around three years. Fern has not been tested with cats, but she is suitable to live with children aged 10 and above.

However, she is looking for a home without other dogs, as she’s not getting along with one of the resident dogs in her current household. Fern would thrive in a semi-rural environment with a garden where she can enjoy her outdoor activities.

Unfortunately, Fern needs to find a new home due to compatibility issues with one of the resident dogs in her current household.

Despite her initial fearfulness as a puppy, she has made significant progress in gaining trust in humans and is now described as devoted, loyal, and affectionate, particularly with those she knows and trusts.

While Fern has been living with two other dogs, her family feels she would be better suited to a home where she’s the only resident dog.

However, there’s a possibility Fern could be adopted alongside another dog in a more experienced home, provided the dog has the right temperament to get along with her.

Fern would greatly benefit from proper training, especially with leash manners, as she tends to pull from excitement. Nonetheless, she’s good off-lead and enjoys walks in secure areas, being an avid squirrel watcher.

Fern’s ideal home would be with someone who has previous rescue dog experience and can provide her with the attention and training she needs. She is fully house-trained and knows basic commands like sit and wait.

Fern thrives in outdoor activities and loves sunbathing in the garden. She’s not suitable for homes with young children or cats, given her untested compatibility with them. Fern is currently based in Essex and is ready to find her forever home.
