Robert – 1-2 year old male English Pointer

Robert is a 1-2-year-old male English Pointer, believed to be a purebred, with a grumpy little face that suggests he might have been an abandoned or escaped hunter’s dog before being picked up as a stray on the streets by the dog warden in Cyprus.

Currently, in foster care in SW London, Robert has a medium-sized frame and has adapted well to his new environment.

In his foster home, Robert has blossomed into a sweet, happy, and friendly companion, surprising everyone with his progress since arriving in the UK.

Displaying a perfect balance of fun and affection, he has mastered the art of walking nicely on the lead and has become an enthusiastic participant in playtime – his play bow earning the title of the cutest thing on the planet.

Robert’s curiosity shines through as he explores the outdoors, attending daycare and group walks where he has excelled. His sociable nature is evident in his compatibility with other dogs, making him an ideal candidate for a home with a furry friend.

While he can be the only resident dog, Robert’s quiet confidence allows him to coexist harmoniously with canine companions.

Despite initially showing signs of separation anxiety, Robert has made impressive strides in developing independence when left alone. His foster family has played a crucial role in his transformation, providing patience and understanding as he adjusts to his new life.

As he settles into his surroundings, Robert becomes more confident and energetic, displaying charming antics such as discovering himself in the mirror and engaging in exhilarating zoomies around the house.

Robert’s weight gain journey is underway in his foster home, addressing the effects of his time in the shelter where he became quite skinny. In great health overall, he is ready to become a cherished member of a forever family.

Robert’s endearing personality, coupled with his continuous improvement and adaptability, make him a wonderful addition to a calm, semi-rural home with a garden – a place where he can continue to thrive and bring joy to those around him.
