Noir – 9 year old male Whippet Cross

Image
Noir is a 9 year old male Whippet Cross. “I’m a quiet and calm Whippet until there’s food about! I just can’t help myself when I know there are treats nearby, I may bark at you a little to request a snack! I can be a little anxious around louder noises and I prefer my people to be around a lot of the time, although I can be left for a couple of hours at a time. I’m used to sleeping on my owner’s bed, although this could be trained out if you would prefer me to sleep in my bed. Walk time is my favourite, I walk very well on the lead after a couple of minutes and generally enjoy pottering and sniffing everything. I will ‘sit’ and ‘down’ for my treats. I am looking for a foster or forever home, please reach out if you can offer me a home! I am said to be OK around other dogs and will generally ignore them when walking past. I am looking for a foster or forever home. A pet-free home and I can live with children aged 6+.” – Quote

Poppy – 6 month old female Cockapoo

Image
Poppy is a 6 month old female Cockapoo. She is being fostered in the adult family home in Gloucestershire with other dogs and cats. dav Poppy came into our care from a breeder she is the daughter of Luna a very scared mini Cockapoo bitch we had previously who has now been rehomed. Poppy arrived very scared – but soon decided I was to be trusted and was soon galloping around the garden with the other dogs. This is her shortly after she arrived Poppy may look normal there but if anyone comes in she does not know she will hide away – because she came around so quickly with me. I know she will do with someone else as long as the right people with the right experience in the right environment. Poppy will need other friendly dogs and a quiet home she is not going to suit a busy home so no children – she has probably missed out on socialisation so it’s someone who understands dogs like Poppy and will help her catch up on what she has missed and understands how important this is, as

Daniel – 6 year old male English Cocker Spaniel

Image
Daniel is a 6 year old male English Cocker Spaniel. He is being fostered in Gloucestershire in an adult home with other dogs and visiting grandchildren. Daniel came into our care after being given up by a breeder – when he was in kennels he was quite poorly and the Vet thought he had an autoimmune problem. oznorCB Daniel was given treatment and antibiotics and soon returned to health. When he came to us he was on steroids twice a day this had now been reduced to ½ table once a day – costs for this are minimal if he needed them for the rest of his life. Daniel is being monitored and back to our Vets this week for another health check and hopefully, everything will be fine so we can get him neutered. Daniel is a lovely friendly boy – pretty confident for a kennel dog, not your usual ex-breeding dog – he is pretty non-plus about other dogs and loves food and sniffing. He was quite anxious when he first came in and found it hard to settle but now he loves chilling. Very friendly

Shadow – 2 year old male Terrier cross Dachshund

Image
Shadow is a 2 year old male Terrier cross Dachshund. He is being fostered in Gloucestershire as an only dog in a family home with an 8-year-old child. oznorHB So this little chap came into the Starfish family and what a little star he has been – we cannot fault him – such a sweet little character and temperament around people. Shadow is living in foster with an 8-year-old child, has an amazing recall, and travels well – considering he lived with two families before he joined us he has settled quickly. He even attended a dog show and got 2nd place in Best Rescue. Recall so good Shadow is very loving and a bit of a velcros dog who likes to be close when you are sitting down and sleep under the quilt with you at night – he is lovely with other dogs and when he first came in was with a cat for the first 24 hours with no problem. Shadow is going to need a special home like him – he could live with children but need to be older he is only small and if and your children you have not

Diva – 2 year old female Welsh Corgi Cross

Image
Diva is a 2 year old female Welsh Corgi Cross. She was relinquished to us by her breeder as he did not want her being sold on for breeding, instead, he asked us to find her a pet home where She would be loved and cherished for the rest of her life. Diva is full pedigree and has been fully health tested for all the usual breed ailments. She is a cracking dog both inside and out and his adopters will be very lucky indeed! The Cardigan is a more laid-back character as compared to their Pembroke cousins although when the need arises they can be extremely quick off the mark. They form strong bonds with their owners and are always willing to work when asked. With this said they are highly adaptable characters that fit well into most lifestyles with the greatest of ease. They are intelligent little dogs that like to be kept busy which means they are best suited to people who live in more rural areas of the country and who lead active outdoor lives. Being so intelligent and eager to pleas

Will – 7 year old male Lurcher Cross

Image
Will is a 7 year old male Lurcher Cross. He found himself on death row in the pound – he was an unclaimed stray! Will is a very beautiful boy, so I can’t imagine why he wasn’t reclaimed, but that’s a sad reflection of society today. Will is a real couch potato of a dog, he is very quiet and obedient, he would love a family to snuggle on the sofa with all day with the occasional break for walks and ball chasing, he loves this! Will is happy as the only dog or snuggled up with other dogs, he is so easygoing he is a delight to have! Will is well-behaved – somebody has put a lot of love into him! He is house-trained and non-destructive – happy to be left snoozing on the sofa, absolutely adores other dogs so could happily live with a companion but would equally be happy as the only dog, where Will is concerned, Sofa is life! The only thing I will say, as with most pointy-type dogs, he is a scavenger and if there is food on the side or in the bin, he will have it! Will weighs 17kg, w
