Mocha – 3 year old female Beagle cross English Pointer

Mocha is a 3 year old female Beagle cross English Pointer. She is a gorgeous little thing who was found as a stray and brought into the pound by the local dog warden.

Mocha is a lovely nature. She weighs just under 10kg and measures 60cm to the top of her head. Mocha is a bubbly, lovely and excited little girl who adores humans.

Mocha loves attention and is super affectionate, always jumping up for a cuddle and leaning right in against you to show her trust.

Mocha loves a chest or chin scratch and would spend all day being stroked and cuddled if she could.

We don’t know anything about Mocha’s background before she ended up in the pound but we are relieved to see that she trusts humans and is so keen to spend time with them.

We’re hoping this means she’s not suffered too much. Mocha loves going out for her walks with the volunteers and is good on the lead.

Mocha loves to sniff about in the dirt and the grass, occasionally finding a rock or twig of particular interest which she will stare at for a moment before moving on.

Back at the shelter she happily runs freely in the yard with the other dogs and interacts well with them. She’s not shown any hostility towards any of the other shelter residents and is always keen to engage in playtime.

Mocha also shares her cage in the pound with two other dogs and hasn’t had any issues with either. Mocha is very smart and looks to the volunteers for praise and direction.

Mocha listens intently and will pick up new commands quickly, so would be amazing in a family home given a little training. She would also be more than happy to share her new home with a resident dog who would enjoy playing with her.

Mocha would however be happy on her own too, so it’s not a requirement to have another pup if you’re keen to adopt Mocha.

Mocha doesn’t have any experience with children and as she is a lively little thing she could easily knock small children over. We would recommend a home with children aged 8+ would be best for her, unless they have previous experience around dogs.

Mocha has also had exposure to cats and would give Chase given the opportunity, so we’re looking for a home without resident felines.

Mocha would be best suited to an active family home based outside of the city with direct access to a secure garden.

Mocha would love a family who is committed to continuing her training and socialisation, as she loves to focus this gives her, and someone who isn’t out of the house for long periods each day, as she will get bored left alone.

Mocha is currently based in Cyprus and has a clean bill of health. She is ready to travel once she finds her forever home.
