Pedro – 4 month old male Hound Cross

Pedro is a 4 month old male Hound Cross. He was rescued after being found dumped in the middle of a field by a lady who was feeding the local stray cats.

Pedro was also with his brother, Arthur, and the two of them were very nervous, to begin with.

It took a while for the volunteers at the shelter to gain their trust after their first arrived but after some time they both now begin to come out of their shells and reveal their personalities.

Of the two puppies Pedro is the smaller brother and isn’t expected to be as big as Arthur when fully grown.

Pedro’s not as solid nor heavy as his brother, and is a bit more of a sausage at present! He is an adorable boy with the sweetest temperament and everyone who meets him falls in love so quickly.

Pedro’s charming nature has everyone desperately trying to cuddle him at the shelter, and we just know he’s going to make the most lovely companion. Pedro is a friendly and sociable little character who likes to climb into your lap, snuggle into your arms, and play with his brother.

As Pedro is the smallest brother, he’s often the one who ends up on the bottom of the pile when they’re rough and tumble together, but it doesn’t hold him back and he always gets up raring to begin round two!

Pedro’s recently discovered the joy of toys and loves playing with them, stealing them off Arthur and chewing the life out of them.

Pedro is looking for a semi-rural home outside of the city. He would enjoy a moderately active lifestyle with someone who enjoys being outside, but also needs someone who is home frequently to provide him with plenty of cuddles!

Pedro would be better suited to a home with direct access to a secure garden where he can let off some steam, and he will also need someone who understands the value of time and patience as he goes through adolescence.

Puppies can be a challenge, so training is a must. This shouldn’t be underestimated no matter how good your puppy is when they first arrive!

Pedro is great with other dogs and would enjoy having another resident dog to learn from, gain confidence from, and play with.

Pedro is also friendly and sociable with children, as long as they can give him space and handle him gently and kindly. Pedro has not been tested with cats. Pedro is currently based in Cyprus and has a clean bill of health. He is ready to travel once he finds him forever home.
