Bao – 4-5 month old female Cross-Breed

Bao is a 4-5 month old female Cross-Breed. She is in our care in Northern Spain since she was tiny and just a few weeks old. We rescued her together with her other 4 siblings and her tough mum from the terrible pound and brought them to the installation of the volunteer we work with in Spain, to have them in a safe and well protected place.

The puppies have grown up there, but are now old enough and ready to find their own home. They aren’t used to live in a home environment. During the day they are outside in an enclosed area and spend the time playing and in company of other dogs. For this reason, Boa will need a patient and understanding homes, who appreciates that everything will be new for her.

She hasn’t yet been shown what life in a home looks like, how to walk on a lead and go exploring, or how to cope with new situations. She will need guidance and training around new people, other dogs, on walks and at home, as she will be experiencing all of this for the very first time. Boa and her siblings didn’t have the typical start at life which puppies should have and deserve, but that didn’t marked them in anyway.

She isn’t a traumatized puppy and has the typical character of any other puppy. Boa is happy, bouncy and social girl and she loves spending time with dogs and people alike, also she can be a little shy/timid towards unknown thing. We feel with the support of a loving family she will grow into the best companion anyone could ask for.

Her mother Triana, who is also up for adoption, is a medium-large dog who weights 28kg, so we assume that Boa will be of similar size when fully grown, but this isn’t a guarantee as the father is unknown, so she could become smaller or larger than our expectations, so her new family should be comfortable to manage these sizes without a problem.

We are looking for an active family or person, who is committed with the decision of adopting a puppy and with everything that this implies. A puppy needs to be completely educated and socialized, that is why we only consider a dog experienced home (NOT first dog owners) who knows how to manage the education, training and socialization of a puppy and also has the time and patience for this.

We are looking for an adult only home or a home with older children (who are used to live with dogs), as we want dogs who require more time like herself to be the priority. She would enjoy having a further dog companion at home from who she would be able to learn. Nevertheless, this is not a requirement, if she gets enough dog interaction and time to play with other dogs on her walks and outdoor activities.

Boa is currently in Northern Spain, but cannot wait to travel and discover her new home in Wales or England (NOT Scotland) as soon as the right family or person comes forward. She is a gorgeous puppy who has had bad luck in her short life. We feel it’s time she finally gets the warmth and happiness of life in a home. If you’d like to offer her this opportunity, and feel you can commit to the next 10-15 years of her care, please get in touch. We would ask that you send some information about your home life, routine, experience with dogs and why you feel Boa is right for you, and we in return will happily explain our adoption process.
