Prairie Dog

Bao is a 4-5 month old female Cross-Breed. She is in our care in Northern Spain since she was tiny and just a few weeks old. We rescued her together with her other 4 siblings and her tough mum from the terrible pound and brought them to the installation of the volunteer we work with in Spain, to have them in a safe and well protected place. The puppies have grown up there, but are now old enough and ready to find their own home. They aren’t used to live in a home environment. During the day they are outside in an enclosed area and spend the time playing and in company of other dogs. For this reason, Boa will need a patient and understanding homes, who appreciates that everything will be new for her. She hasn’t yet been shown what life in a home looks like, how to walk on a lead and go exploring, or how to cope with new situations. She will need guidance and training around new people, other dogs, on walks and at home, as she will be experiencing all of this for the very first time.

Luna is a 1 year old female Miniature Pinscher Cross. She is a rescue from Cyprus currently living in Aldershot and still waiting to find her perfect home. Here is a little about her. Gorgeous Luna has a very loving, playful personality. She gets on well with people and loves to play with the 9 year old child in her current home. She loves to cuddle on the sofa after a day of fun. She is housetrained and sleeps well through the night. She lives with 2 cats and another doggy and gets on well with them all. She loves the two cats and is so patient with them, often crying in the hopes that they will play with her. She walks well on her and is always excited to see a squirrel on her walk or another dog who looks willing to play. She has met a variety of dogs with no issues other than being desperate to play with them. We think Luna would love another dog in her home who enjoys playing as much as she does. Bagel is a 3 month old male Cross-Breed. He is the wiggliest puppy you could ever wish to meet. This boy is a very happy, confident little boy that is ready to take on the world. He is good with other dog. He shares his food bowl with the cats. He will play happily with the children. He loves being picked up and cuddled and is happy to have a sleep on your knee while you watch TV. He is a lovely little dog that will be ready to travel early December but we would love to have a great home waiting for him

Pepito is a 1-2 year old male Cross-Breed. He is really good with other dogs. He has been living with a greyhound and some pups. He is neutered. He hasn’t been cat tested yet.

Pickle is a 3 month old male Cross-Breed. This munchkin is so adorable. He is only a small boy so maybe small/ medium full grown. He is a quiet boy but still happy to have cuddles and run round the garden with his friends.

Biscuit is a 7 year old male Cross-Breed. He is in foster in Cornwall. He had a very sad life before he came here but he is a lovely boy who gets on with other dogs and cats. He is young at heart and loves to be outdoors. He needs a calm, rural home. He is good off the lead once he knows you. He is slightly shy indoors but loves cuddles and to lie on the sofa.

Jasper is a 2 year old male Cross-Breed. He is a gorgeous boy with a heart of gold. He has sadly been returned to rescue through no fault of his own. He is great with people and children (currently lives with a 2 and 7 year old). He loves everyone that comes to his house, and has no issues with guarding. Jasper loves playing with his toys and ball, and getting lots of cuddles. He loves walking and especially happy meeting other dogs on his walks! His previous owners have worked hard on his basic training, he can currently do sit, lie down, paw, wait and high five. Jasper can be left home alone as long as he has a window to look out of! He is currently in Manchester.

Sarita is a 2 year old female Cross-Breed. She was left in a derelict warehouse in china through covid. She was starved and in a desperate state. Sarita is a very friendly quiet girl. Who needs a quiet home. Sarita is OK with dogs. She is not cat tested and children over 10.

Hazel is a 10 month old female Cross-Breed. She is a very shy, gentle, and thoughtful girl who, once she gets to know you, will be your best friend. She is loyal, loving, extremely intelligent and eager to show off her tricks. Hazel is a typical shepherd dog, she loves to herd and instinctively protects her home. Because of this, she is looking for a caring and compassionate family with lots of shepherd experience that will help build her confidence and understand that she is a bit shy when meeting new people. She needs to be an only dog in the household until she makes progress on her confidence, as now the presence of other dogs only increase her insecurity and make her reactive. Sadly she was surrendered back to the rescue with 0 training, so her foster family should be able to work with her starting from scratch. She has a small progress on the long lead, but still rather scared of it. We are looking for: A home within a 2-hour (ish) radius of Buckingham, an adopter/foster

Maya is a 6 year old female Lurcher. She is a lovely, happy girl who is used to living with other dogs and cats. Her adoption fee is £490.

Logan is a 1-2 year old male Cross-Breed. He is 9 kg. Logan is just the sweetest dog you could meet. He is in foster here in Plymouth, Devon. He simply loves people and is great with other dogs. His tail never stops wagging and he is very cuddly. His adoption fee is £490.

Joel is a 3-4 year old male Cross-Breed. He is a gorgeous lad who has come a long way since being rescued in Cyprus. He spent some time at our rehab kennels building his confidence with humans before moving to his foster home in Staffordshire. “JoJo truly deserves his own forever sofa. He is still a little nervous however with patience and love I am sure he will be curling up by your feet in no time! JoJo will need someone who is willing to take things slow and work on getting him used to a harness and lead for walkies as he can be a little skittish when out on our short walks. He is very food orientated and I am sure this is the way to his heart. JoJo would benefit greatly from having a confident resident dog to play with and show him the ropes. He is brilliant with our boy Leo! He is very content with his own spot on the sofa and really does not cause much fuss at all. Maggie is a 4 year old female Jack Russell Terrier Cross. She is our beautiful dog who looking for a terrier savvy home. Maggie is a loving little terrier that has a huge amount of sass and needs owners that have had experience of terriers and their wonderful personalities before. Maggie would be better as an only dog, with no cats and no children (visiting grandchildren would be possible) Maggie loves her walks and does walk well on a lead – recall will need work as she’s a worker that likes to hunt. She will need time to settle and build bonds. Maggie is vaccinated, speyed and microchipped. She is full rescue back, adoption fee and home check applies. Ralf is a 7 month old male German Shepherd Cross. He is fostered in Warwickshire. Introducing beautiful boy Ralf who got his lucky ticket and flew to an amazing foster home in the UK a few weeks ago. Ralf is originally from Cyprus and Ralf and his sister Juno were found when they were only a few hours old – they still had their umbilical cords attached. They were discarded like a piece of rubbish in a used chicken feed bag next to a pile of rubbish on an old dirt track. It was by pure luck that they were found and only because the person who found them saw one of them poking out of the bag. Ralf was hand reared in Cyprus by an amazing couple and their care and love has made Ralf the loving cuddly goofy ball that he is today. Ralf is a fun loving, comical character! He loves loads of cuddles and uses his slinky snakelike body to get in the best place for them! He loves walks and after the initial excitement of being outside he walks well on the lead. Arlo is a 2-3 year old male Cross-Breed. He is currently in the Bracknell Area and looking for his new forever home through absolutely no fault of his own. His family are devastated in having to rehome Arlo that has been with them for 2 years, and the decision has been taken with Arlo’s best interest at heart. Arlo is a gorgeous boy who loves everyone and is so friendly. He is a medium size dog who weighs 15kg but he thinks he is a lap dog and loves a lap to snuggle on. Arlo had some anxiety about people walking past his house (barking at them) he is doing well to over come this. Arlo loves his walks and having a good sniff, he needs some help learning not to pull on his lead and loves his long line as once he smells something his recall isn’t great. Arlo loves any and all treats. He is very well trained in the house, knowing sit, wait, come, spin, touch, through the legs and is always eager to learn more. Rocket is a 2 year old male Welsh Collie. He is lovely well behaved, intelligent boy needs active family who have lots of time for him. Rocket hasn’t lived with cats or other dogs; however, he is ok with other dogs he meets on walks. Rocket has also lived with and is good around children. Handsome Rocket is well-behaved in the home, house-trained, but he would prefer a home where he isn’t left for long periods, as when he has been left, he can be a bit barky. On assessment we found Rocket to be incredibly friendly, well behaved and gentle. He walked well on his lead and apparently according to his current home he has great recall. We feel he would make someone who is willing to continue his training and give him lots of exercise/stimulation a fantastic companion and best friend.

Thomas is a 3 year old male Griffon Cross. He is looking for his forever home. He was rescued from Caan perrera and is presently living on the base at the farmhouse. He is mixing well with all the other dogs and can be cat tested. We do not have children to try him with but he is friendly and we take each application on its own merit but no children under 8. Thomas is neutered, chipped and vaccinated and will be fully blood tested. He will travel to UK on DEFRA licensed transport and have his passport and EHC import certificate. Our process is application, deposit, homecheck and balance of fees. Lets not make him wait.

Susie is a 10 month old female Cross-Breed. She is neutered, passport and ready to travel. A new addition to us but she has fitted straight in and looks as though she has always been here. She plays lovely with the other dogs. She has no interest in cats. She has been round children but prefers the company of adults.
