Rosa – 10 month old female Akita

Rosa is a 10 month old dinky little Akita who needs a new home through no fault of her own. She’s living happily with children 3+ but sadly hasn’t been socialized with other animals. When I assessed her today she doesn’t show any signs of anything unpleasant when she sees other dogs but she is very interested.

I think she would be best as an only dog initially but she’s definitely got the potential to be socialized with other dogs. She does not live with cats so we wouldn’t rehome her with them. She’s a typical puppy in that she loves to play and will mouth a little at times. She travels well and is ok to be left for 3-4 hours at a time. She gave me lovely kisses today and seems to be a genuine sweetheart.

She’s vaccinated and chipped but not yet spayed (she will be adopted on a strict contract that this must be done when she is old enough). Forever homes can be anywhere within the UK but you will need to travel to us in South Yorkshire. As always we require everyone in the family and any children who are regularly going to be in contact with the dog to attend the meet.

Our usual process is that you will need to come and meet the dog and that adoption is then done on a second meeting. For some dogs, additional meets may be required and potential adopters will be required to travel to the dog’s location for all meets.

If you meet the criteria for this dog please call the rescue. If you are suited we will then arrange a home check, vet reference, and meet with the dog. We only rehome where all residents and previous animals are/were regularly vaccinated and neutered/spayed unless on veterinary advice.
