Benji – 1-2 year old male Wire Haired Fox Terrier

Benji is a 1-2 year old male Wire-Haired Fox Terrier. He is a super dog, a fun-loving, active, and playful Wire-Haired Terrier. He is currently living in a foster home in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. In his foster home, Benji is living with several other doggies and gets on with them like a house on fire!

He’s very playful with his dog pals, although he’s also respectful of dogs who don’t want to play with him. He is happy to share his space and his toys, and take treats alongside his foster doggy friends. Benji loves getting out and about on his walkies and exploring the countryside around his foster home.

His recall is improving but he tends to come back in his own time so must be kept on a lead or long line when walking in public spaces. He is very clever and eager to please – his foster mum says he is the most intelligent dog she’s fostered, and will certainly be a joy to train!

He already knows to sit for treats and will wait politely by the front door when it’s time for walkies. Benji is a typical Terrier and is strong-willed – he will need experienced owners who can set clear boundaries for him and a confident and fun-loving doggy pal who can show him the ropes and play with him!

He’d suit an active home where he can have lots of fun and walks, plenty of playtimes, and owners who will invest the time in his training. He can live with children over 10 years old. Benji can be a bit of an escape artist when the mood takes him, so needs a secure garden!

He is happy to be left for a couple of hours, once he’s settled in. He is house-trained. He’s not been cat tested so will be looking for a home without cats or small furries.
