Pippa – 1-2 year old female Cross- Breed

Image
Pippa is a 1-2 year old female Cross- Breed. She is a beautiful, playful and affectionate girl who is seeking a new home due to a change in her owner’s circumstances. She is epileptic and recent events mean that her family are no longer able to support her medical needs. Pippa has lived in the same home since she was a puppy. She was the result of a planned private litter, her mum is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Whippet and her dad is a full Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Pippa is a wonderful girl with a superb temperament. She is very sociable with children, adults and other dogs. Pippa started with seizures when she was around 12-14 weeks old. She was taken straight to the vets and was kept in overnight for monitoring, tests and diagnosis where it was discovered that she was epileptic. Pippa’s condition is easily managed with medication and she can still enjoy life the same as any other dog. Pippa’s family currently pay £35.02 a month for a box of 60 x 60mg Epiphen tablets whi

Bella – 9 year old female Chihuahua

Image
Bella is a 9 year old female Chihuahua. She is fostered in Hingham, Norfolk. Bella was brought to us with her companion a 12 year old Yorkie due to the owner having to go into sheltered housing. She is a happy delightful little girl who loves to cuddle up with you , she is very foody , which will need monitoring. Bella is house trained and lead trained. Bella would benefit from another small dog for company or a owner who is home majority of the time – she could be rehomed with children over 10. Her fosterer says she is a cute happy , busy little girl who will make a fantastic companion . When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-

Koda – 1-2 year old male Cross-Breed

Image
Koda is a 1-2 year old male Cross-Breed. He is fostered in Norwich Norfolk. He was brought to the UK as a puppy independently from us but was quite a troubled soul and could not cope being the only dog in the home. He moved to the adopters parents household and in someways did much better as he was part of a pack but issues arose with handling him as he grew older and his new mum had done health issues that made his progression come to a stand still. Since arriving in our care Koda has advanced very well. His main issue was having a lead put on as he was simply terrified. He will now allow this with people he knows well and trusts. In all other aspects Koda is a comical, playful, lovable wally ? he gets on well with the other dogs and walks beautifully on a lead. He is very loving and affectionate. Koda will need an experienced home only because of his anxiety putting lead on which will improve over time. He would do well with another playful dog but actually might also be ok as an

Sara – 6 year old female Podenco Cross

Image
Sara is a 6 year old female Podenco Cross. She is fostered in Norwich Norfolk. For some unknown reason her previous family owners in Spain took her to the vets to be put to sleep, fortunately a Spanish rescue stepped in and rescued her. Despite this Sara is a incredibly friendly and loving girl with such a bright outlook on life and with a happiness which is really infectious. She loves being around people and other dogs, she would be happiest in a home with another dog, however she would be OK as an only dog so long as there was someone at home for company the majority of the time. She would be fine with children over 12 however as she is very friendly and has a tendency to jump up when meeting new people smaller children would be a no. She would need some basic manners training for jumping up greeting people and scanning for unguarded food on kitchen tops however we have started on this and already she is beginning to figure out what is allowed and what is not. She is housetraine

Fran – 3 year old female Cross-Breed

Image
Fran is a 3 year old female Cross-Breed. She is fostered in Norwich Norfolk. We originally rescued Fran on our trip to Bacau in Romania last year. She was living in an industrial area and had a litter of puppies in a large pipe. We brought her to the uk at the earliest opportunity and she was quite quickly adopted but she has now been returned through absolutely no fault of her own! Fran is the sweetest girl and charms everyone she meets. She is extremely loving and affectionate with people of all ages and could live with children of four years plus. Fran is currently living alongside other dogs in her foster home but can be a bit grouchy with them initially and it takes her a little time to bond. She would be fine to live as an only dog. Fran walks well on a lead and travels well in a car and is happy to be left home alone for reasonable periods of time with no issues. She’s actually quite close to being perfect! When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This wil

Shenzi – 4 month old female German Shepherd Cross

Image
Shenzi is a 4 month old female German Shepherd Cross. She was given up as her owner was unable to keep up with her high energy. She hasn’t had the training or socialisation she needed so is basically a blank canvas for her adopters to make into the perfect little lady we know is in there, just disguised by total over excitement! Since joining us Shenzi has already come on in leaps and bounds and has much better manners around other dogs, she is an absolute gift for someone that wants to train a dog to do a job, as she is so eager to learn. Shenzi is small and mighty and full of character and mischief!! Such a shame for such a gorgeous happy little lady to find herself homeless! Shenzi is a lively happy little lady that would love a family to play with her and keep her occupied, She loves a walk and loves to greet everyone she meets, and absolutely everyone that meets her very quickly falls in love!! She would do well with an older similar breed role model, but equally could be the

Dec – 5 week old male Mastiff Cross

Image
Dec is a 5 week old male Mastiff Cross. He is along with his siblings he was abandoned at the rescue gates, when only just two weeks old, we were lucky enough to find a lovely foster who is doing a fantastic job and they are going from strength to strength. Dec will be a large dog when fully grown so his new owner really needs to be someone who has experience of large breeds and any children within the house really need to be at least eight years old due to his eventual size. Dec will e fully readied for travel and will be able to travel at sixteen weeks to UK. Adoption fee and travel costs apply full rescue back and home checks will be carried out.

Clyde – 3-4 year old male Dogue de Bordeaux

Image
Clyde is a 3-4 year old male Dogue de Bordeaux. He came to us when he was left unclaimed in the pound, he was skin and bone and we feared he had underlying health issues, turns out after doing every test we could, it was just total neglect, Clyde was 25kg when he arrived! Clyde has now been castrated and his last weigh in was 32kg, he still has a way to go but in a loving forever home he will gain the weight easily. Clyde has bites and scratches over him which tell a tail of neglect, he also had a whole in his tongue when he first arrived that has now healed. He is quite the lazy lump, he walks beautifully on the lead and is house trained, most of the day he spends snoozing on the sofa however he loves his food and walks! Clyde loves to run over the field, he loves to chase a ball or the other dogs, but more than anything he loves to roll in poop and then come and give you cuddles…What’s not to love! Clyde is very submissive around people and will roll over belly rubs at every op

Elliot – 1-2 year old male Saluki Cross

Image
Elliot is a 1-2 year old male Saluki Cross. Elliot or Eli as is known to his foster mum. We feel so honoured to be helping this boy come to terms with his traumatic past. He has been in a fantastic foster home in Spain and he is now in one of our super foster homes. When this boy begins to trust, it is the most phenomenal gift of all. To see his fears begin to ease and to see him experiencing moments of joy is incredible. When he arrived in the sanctuary, he was terrified and it took a while in foster for him to understand he was not going to be hurt again. Of course this fear remains with him in new situations but what Elliot shows is remarkable courage in making steps to trust the love he is now shown. He has had a horrifying life up until his rescue and what is essential for anyone considering adopting him is the understanding that he will need time and a very quiet environment. As with all our dogs, our adopters need to go at a pace which is comfortable to the dog, not to for

Kadisha – 6 month old female Cross-Breed

Image
Kadisha is a 6 month old female Cross-Breed. She is a miracle dog, rescued by our team in Cyprus. She was found as a newborn – her mum had been abandoned and left to give birth in a field in the middle of winter. Kadisha is flourishing in a foster home in the Midlands, UK. Her foster mum is simply amazed by Kadisha. “Kadisha is without doubt a star of a dog! She walks lovely on the lead. Very confident little girl loves to play with other dogs and lives happily with my cat. She is extremely intelligent and needs to be kept active and be mentally stimulated – she would be perfect for someone wanting to do something like agility. As long as you keep her stimulated and active she is golden in the house. completely non-destructive as long as you keep her very active and then she will happily lie by your feet with a chew. She is 99.9% toilet trained she does sometimes have a tiny accident when she gets really excited. She loves to be with her humans – she’s a little shadow which is he

Joey – 6 month old male Cross-Breed

Image
Joey is a 6 month old male Cross-Breed. He was rescued from an overcrowded pound together with his siblings who all now found their forever homes. Joey secured his flight to the UK in June and is in a loving family foster home in Nottinghamshire. Joey is an adorable, super loving and playful boy who loooves being around humans!!! While in the shelter in Cyprus, he got along perfectly with other dogs and played a lot with other dogs – but when people are around he loves getting cuddles and attention more than anything else. In his foster home, he lives with a couple and their son – he has built an incredible bond with his human foster brother and is loving, cheeky and playful. He will be medium to big size boy and because he is very clever he will need a family that can provide some mental stimulation as well as an active lifestyle. In his foster home, Joey is playing lots of brain games – he’s very smart and loves learning new things. He’s enjoying exploring on his walkies and has

Duna – 3 year old female Basset Griffon Vendeen

Image
Duna is a 3 year old female Basset Griffon Vendeen. She is ended up pregnant in a pound of Northern Spain. Thankfully her story changed as soon as we were made aware of them and she and her puppies came under our wings. She was so scared and worried by the world, and very fearful of people. Who knows what she had been through. Duna was a great mother to her babies and now they have gone to their own homes, she needs to find her forever family. We have taken some time in sharing her story, because when she first arrived, Duna wasn’t ready for her new family… she needed time to learn to trust again and to lose some of the fear that her past had caused. Her foster family did a wonderful job helping this lovely girl come out of her shell, and with patience and time she has grown in confidence. Duna will always be on the nervous and shy side, and she takes time to warm up to new people. With reassurance and gentle affection Duna quickly learns she’s okay, and rolls over for belly rubs an
