Clyde – 3-4 year old male Dogue de Bordeaux
Clyde is a 3-4 year old male Dogue de Bordeaux. He came to us when he was left unclaimed in the pound, he was skin and bone and we feared he had underlying health issues, turns out after doing every test we could, it was just total neglect, Clyde was 25kg when he arrived!
Clyde has now been castrated and his last weigh in was 32kg, he still has a way to go but in a loving forever home he will gain the weight easily. Clyde has bites and scratches over him which tell a tail of neglect, he also had a whole in his tongue when he first arrived that has now healed.
He is quite the lazy lump, he walks beautifully on the lead and is house trained, most of the day he spends snoozing on the sofa however he loves his food and walks! Clyde loves to run over the field, he loves to chase a ball or the other dogs, but more than anything he loves to roll in poop and then come and give you cuddles…What’s not to love!
Clyde is very submissive around people and will roll over belly rubs at every opportunity, however he is very bolshy with other dogs, a bit of a bull in a China shop! Clyde is a gentle giant who is happy just relaxing, he is a very undemanding dog. He loves other dogs but would probably prefer to be the only dog in the house, he likes to have his humans to himself, and as I say, he can be a little over powering with other dogs.
He is not destructive at all and is quite content being left for short periods, he is a very undemanding and lazy lad. This lovely lad would make a fantastic addition to any family as he is really laid back and undemanding, but equally a lovely cuddly loyal companion!
Clyde can live with other dogs but probably not small dogs as he isn’t aware of his size, he also appears to have a dislike for Chow Chows. He can also be housed with children age 8 plus. Clyde is castrated, and chipped. he is flea and wormed. Could this gentle giant live with you?
