Scooby – 1 year old male Cross-Breed

Scooby is a handsome 1 year old male Cross-Breed. He is currently in a foster home. Scooby is a friendly dog on the whole and is boisterous and extremely energetic. He is still only an adolescent dog and has had a lack of basic training. He does jump at at people in excitement.

He is strong on the lead , but will sit calmly on the roadsides. He will need an owner who is physically able to exercise him and take him for long walks for approximately 2 hours a day. On walks, he greets other dogs in a friendly manner , loves to chase squirrels in the wood and to run at great pace across open fields.

Scooby suffers from extreme separation anxiety and therefore it is imperative that his new owners will be around for the vast majority of the day. Scooby has had a consultation with a behaviourist with regards this and we will pass on his report/assessment.

His new owners will need to understand that this could be a long and ongoing process and be willing to commit to implementing a reward based approach to reduce his anxiety levels over time.

He needs a home with experienced dog owners who are ideally use to larger breed dogs. It is also very important that he has access to a fully enclosed secure garden with high fencing/walls.

Scooby is not to be rehomed with children or cats. He could possibly live with a calm, well behaved neutered dog.

Boton – 5 month old male Basset Fauve de Bretagne Cross

Boton is a 5 month old male Basset Fauve de Bretagne Cross. He is the result of another irresponsible litter. We rescued the mother with her babies when they were one month old in Northern Spain. After fighting against parvovirus only 2 babies survived and Botón is one of them. Poor Boton has had some bad luck in his short life… We thought we had found a lovely home for him, and then without so much as an explanation, the prospective adopters disappeared. So for this reason, Boton is still looking for his forever home, and we really want to make sure this time around, it’s the right one.
