Rio – 23 month old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross

Rio is a stunning 23 month old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross. He needs a new home due to no fault of his own. He’s a big, lovable lad who has little or no spatial awareness. He’s lived with cats (he wants to play with them as you’d expect but is good with them as long as they are used to dogs), and children from babies upwards (again he’s great with them although will knock them over with excitement at times).

He’s never lived with another dog but is dog friendly so potentially can live with another friendly dog. He walks pretty well in his lead unless he wants to go and play. He’s fine to be left for reasonable periods but he does sometimes chew things left around and whilst he settles in he is likely to have some accidents. He loves travelling in the car. He adores new people but will jump up to make a fuss.

He’s chipped but not yet neutered and his vaccinations have just been restarted. Forever homes can be anywhere within the UK but you will need to travel to us in South Yorkshire. As always we require everyone in the family and any children who are regularly going to be in contact with the dog to attend the meet.

Our usual process is that you will need to come and meet the dog and that adoption is then done on a second meet.

For some dogs additional meets may be required and potential adopters will be required to travel to the dogs location for all meets.
