Fleur is a 1 year old female Cross-Breed. She is a stunning girl hoping for her chance at a loving new home. She was found abandoned with her siblings in a forest in Romania when only a puppy. Thankfully they were rescued and with lots of love and dedication, they are now all happy, healthy dogs who would make wonderful companions. Fleur is good with people and has grown up around other dogs and is well-socialised with them. She has been vaccinated, microchipped and fully health checked with no issues identified. Olaf is a 4 year old male Afghan Hound. We are looking for a sighthound savvy home for a pair of Afgan Hounds, Olaf and Romeo. Olaf is a wonderful, handsome and unique pair of dogs who need an experienced adopter with a large secure garden and lots of time and patience. A joint adoption will be prioritized but they could also be adopted separately. Olaf and Romeo are strikingly beautiful, very tall hounds. Milo is a 2 year old male Sabueso (Spanish Scenthound) Cross. He is currently in Surrey looking for a new home as his family after a lot of discussions have decided that another family could give him more as they cannot dedicate enough time for him. This decision has not been taken lightly & they are doing the right thing for Milo. It has to be about the dogs. Milo is 2 in March and a young boy who is energetic that loves his walks. He is lively to start with but he does calm down. Milo lives with 3 children ages 2, 5 & 15. He is good with them but he would happily pinch something off their food plates given the chance. Mylo is an 8 year old male Bichon Frise cross West Highland White Terrier. He came to us as an unclaimed stray on the same day that he was due to be euthanised in a dog pound. We were his last chance, as no other suitable rescue came forward to help him in his hour of need. He was very matted and dirty and had infected teeth and gums, which made him feel very grumpy and miserable. Due to this, he initially struggled with being touched and having a contact of any kind with his new caregivers, even including having a lead on and off when taken for walks. However, during his time with us, we discovered that he is VERY fond of treats and he is a very intelligent little boy, quickly learning (with positive reinforcement) that having led on and off is no bad thing. Mylo even started to realise that the occasional, TINY cuddle is quite nice if maybe a little overwhelming at times. Bamber is a 1 year old male Cross-Breed. He is a lovely friendly affectionate boy. Bamber is good with adults and children. He is also good with other dogs. He is about 15kg.

Andre & Kimo is an 8-10 year old male Shih Tzu Crosses. They are being fostered in Gloucestershire with other dogs and cats. These two little ones have come to us because of sad personal circumstances what makes this even sadder is that they lost their home 4 years ago when their previous owner went into a home. They are very bonded to each other so we cannot separate them. They seem very sweet fine with the other dogs, people and cats. Foxy is a 1-2 year old female Cross-Breed. She is a very friendly girl looking for her forever home. Foxy is very sweet and is good with other dogs and can be Cat Tested. Foxy is a smiler so she goes all wiggly and shows her teeth. She could be re-homed with sensible children 10 years and older. Julius is a 1-2 year old male Hound Cross. He is our extra special boy, and he is striking in every respect: his black and tan markings and shiny coat are quite amazing. Julius’s calmness and gentility are truly exceptional. He ticks all the boxes, having arrived at our Cyprus Shelter as a puppy. He walks well on his lead and mixes perfectly nicely with other dogs, cats and children. He really could not be better.

Ronnie & Patch are 6 year old male Jack Russell Terrier cross Chihuahua and Pomeranian. Ronnie is a tan Jack Russell Terrier cross Chihuahua. Patch is a white and tan Pomeranian. This gorgeous duo came to our centre from a multi-dog household and were just left to their own devices. Before coming to the centre they had not experienced the outside world, they had never been walked on a lead and had very limited interactions with people. Both boys are very nervous and rely heavily on each other which is why a home together is essential. Their confidence has grown massively since being with us and has bonded with a few people at the centre, but this has been a long process and has taken months. Ronnie is more willing to come up to you for a treat once he gets to know you, but Patch would prefer to keep his distance. Nick is a 2 year old male Lurcher Cross. He arrived in our care over Christmas and is currently in kennels in Suffolk. Nick arrived in an awful state, skinny, with ears bleeding and feeling rather fed up! He’s feeling much better now and is loving having a warm bed and regular meals. Nick is desperately looking for cuddles and enjoys spending time with people, but whilst in kennels, the staff are only able to spend limited time with him. Nick deserves a fresh start, and we would love for him to be in a home environment, where he can learn the joys of a sofa, be able to do zoomies around the garden, go for long walks and explore and have a forever family. You’ve got the perfect adorable puppy! He’d be a great travel buddy, except for one thing … he gets sick riding in the car. But don’t give up just yet! There’s a lot you can do to help with puppy motion sickness.   Why Do Puppies Get Motion Sickness? Nobody knows for sure why dogs get carsick. But then nobody knows for sure why people get carsick either! The most common theory is that the brain is receiving mixed signals – the vestibular movement-sensing inner ear says you’re moving, while the eyes say you’re not. What we do know is that puppies and young dogs tend to experience motion sickness more often than adult dogs. So, it’s possible this is something your puppy will outgrow as his vestibular system fully develops. Until then, you need to take care that his motion sickness doesn’t turn into travel anxiety. If your puppy begins to associate feeling rotten with being in the car, he could develop an aversion to traveling, even if he doesn’t get carsick anymore. READ MOR...

Greta is a 4-5 year old female Cross-Breed. Since her friends left for the U.K. she is sad dogs come and go but she still waits. She’s like a lost little soul who waits and waits and never gets picked. Greta is a small girl, full grown, born in 2018. The perfect age I would say. She has the most beautiful flowing coat covering her tiny little frame with fluffy little white socks. She needs a quiet home who have patience, compassion and lots of love. The journey is a long one but one worthwhile for a lifetime of happiness. Greta has been practising on the lead at times she is unsure what to do but We know with time she will blossom. CoCo is a 2-3 year old female Cross-Breed. “I love to run and play ball and will be looking for an active home. Rescue doesn’t know anything about my past as I was an unclaimed stray. I was thin and worried when I arrived but have been friendly with all the people I have met. I can be selective with other dogs and will need more training to channel my energy and movement drive. I love being with someone and being outside so will need a home where I have company. I am quite bouncy so no young children as wouldn’t want to knock them down and I might chase small furies so a home without those is best. I am bright and bouncy and looking for a breed experienced home that can continue my training and channel my energy into sports or calming activities such as scent work and tracking.” – Quote

Tracey is a 2 year old female Jack Russell Terrier Cross. She is our extra special girl, she has been in our Cyprus Shelter for just under one year, having been surrendered by her owner. She was sadly no longer able to keep her. Tracey ticks all the boxes: her tri-colour markings and stunning good looks make her a shining star. She is pleasant, playful and affable. Tracey walks well on her lead and mixes perfectly nicely with other dogs, cats and children. We must, however, be mindful of the dangers of terriers living with pre-teen children.

Archie is a 2 year old male Cross-Breed. He is currently living in Peterborough. He is about 22 inches tall and looking for a forever home. Archie has a lovely temperament, he is very affectionate and playful with humans he trusts. He is friendly with other dogs and likes to play. He loves walks in the countryside and enjoys being let off the lead in a safe environment to run and sniff. Archie is bouncy and full of energy. He would benefit from a good size garden, regular exercise and other dogs to play with. He likes to chase cats and would be a better fit for a home with no other pets but dogs. Archie is fully house-trained and walks well in his harness. Archie arrived in the UK quite traumatised from his difficult Romanian past.
