Coco – 3 year old female Australian Silky Terrier Cross Jack Russel Terrier

Coco is a 3-year-old Australian Silky Terrier x Jack Russell bitch being fostered in Gloucestershire in an adult home with other dogs and visiting children.

Coco came into our care through no fault of her own after being brought for an elderly relative who became ill shortly after homing Coco.

She was so worried when she first came in but this dog in the video has gone now and Coco is now the dog she always should have been.

Those first few days

Coco has been with us long enough now to be able to tell you everything you need to know about this wonderful little girl.

For some reason, we are struggling to get the right match for her as a lot of what we call the proper dog homes where you walk the hill and dales, through the mud whatever the weather, want a bright clever little spark is not showing an interest in her as probably think she is a lap dog but she is so much more than that.

Her mix is described as “”This is no sissy lap dog. The silky terrier is a tough character that is always up for a challenge and adventure””

This is spot on although she does love a cuddle after a busy day.

She loves it out and about running and hunting

Good meeting new dogs

Coco is such an amazing little dog who has bloomed under the care of her foster carers – she has been out walking in large packs of dogs and people, attended a memorial to a dear friend with over a hundred people there, spent the weekend at another foster carers house while her foster family was on holiday and everyone who meets her loves her.

This was at the memorial she attended with her old and new friends

She has such an amazing spirit – she loves running so much in the countryside, she enjoys other dog’s company and has no problem with living with the cat for the weekend.

With the cat

Living with big dogs for the weekend

She can be a little shy at first but will soon come around, she is a lovely mixture of an active little terrier and a complete snuggly bunny too.

Loves playing

She is house-trained, travels well, is ok being left for a short time, can live and probably prefers her to be with other dogs she can play and bond with, out walking she gets carried away but always comes back.

She is allowed on the furniture and sleeps in the bedroom at night due to her being so unsettled in the beginning so would like to find that again for her.

Please get in contact if you can offer Coco exactly what she needs in the way of a home – she has now been spayed under our care and fully recovered, completed her vaccinations, chipped, flea/wormed.
