Now safe and happy in her foster home she just exudes happiness. She is so happy to see anyone that comes into the home. Her little tail wags and her face lights up. She is content to be left alone for a few hours. She loves to cuddle and also enjoys collecting anything left on the floor to gently put in her basket. She still needs a little more help with her toilet training and basic commands but any time one gives her will be rewarded in love tenfold. Midge and Biscoff – 1 year old male and female Lurchers

Image
Midge and Biscoff are 1 year old male and female Lurchers. They are gaining in confidence, day by day this pair is so loving once they feel at ease. They are young, cheeky and stealers of food! They love their toys and running around outside, enjoying life! Both are still unsure of interacting with new people and around new environments but with a lot of patience and time we hope this will build in a home. Both will require time to settle into a home with a patient owner who will help them to thrive. Ideally, their new owners need to have previous experience of owning a puppy and training them using positive rewards. They will need further confidence building around people and getting into the car, being left and housetraining and must be fed separately as Biscoff does not like to share.

Alaska – 5 year old female Romanian Shepherd

Image
Alaska is a Romanian Shepherd believed to be almost six years old. Alaska is a loyal, sensitive and loving girl. She came to the UK from Romania as a puppy and was in a home until her owner passed away. She was then taken to the vet to be put to sleep but fortunately, a nearby rescue was notified and stepped in to save her life. Alaska was taken to boarding kennels but really didn’t cope with that environment and went on a hunger strike, we were then asked if we could take her into one of our foster homes. At home, she’s very content spending most of her time sleeping wherever the humans are in the house. She responds well to clear boundaries being set and to be shown who is in charge. A home as an only dog would be preferred for Alaska as she can be intolerant of other dogs initially. We have observed though, that she has, over time, warmed to all the foster dogs we have had so far, resulting in her becoming very affectionate and playful with them. She walks well on a lead bu
