Prairie Dog

Freddy is a 1-2 year old male Presa Canario. He is already a strong large dog and may still grow a bit more. Freddy needs an owner who has large dog experience and has done research on the breed. Freddy can be dog-reactive when out walking but because he’s led a sheltered life he has things to learn and experience. Freddy’s a beautiful boy who needs to be in a home, learning about life.

Lord is a 4 year old male Cross-Breed. He is a rescue from Cyprus who is now in the UK and looking for his perfect forever home. Lord is currently living in a foster home in Blackpool and here is a little about him. Since arriving in his foster home, Lord has come out of his shell. Lord is ready to find his new home and continue his training with his new humans! He is crate-trained, walks nicely on the lead and has good recall. Lord’s very calm in the house but loves to zoom around outside. He’s fantastic with dogs but still rather nervous of men ( although he has taken a liking to numerous calm men). Lord is extremely sweet and affectionate and loves to cuddle on the couch. He does NOT have the drive to be a sport or working dog but instead would make a great active pet for the right person. Zippy is a 10 year old male English Setter. He is a brilliant older chap, balanced and sociable and loves the company of other dogs. We wonder if he’s spent a long time tied up on his own but he’s very affectionate and loves a fuss being made of him. This golden oldie was given up by his hunter at the age of ten when he was no longer needed and so not worthy of his money and time to look after. Zippy is now in the shelter we work with in North Spain. Zippy was born on 12th June 2013. If you are interested in giving wonderful Zippy a home, he is available at Setter Brittany Pointer Rescue. Zippy is currently in North Spain but his bag is packed and he is ready to travel to his special home in the UK. Will that be with you??

Mabel is a 2-3 year old female Cross-Breed. She is a gorgeous young lady, very waggy but a bit nervous atm. Mabel is good with other dogs and fine with cats. Mabel arrived last week with her puppy, Margot from the pound in Northern Spain. Mabel will be looking for her forever home and has rescue backup with Carolyn Bllack.

Audrey is a 2 year old female Cross-Breed. She was rescued by our partner shelter in Egypt and is now looking for a new home in the UK. Audrey is a lovely girl and would have been someone’s pet before she was abandoned and rescued. Sweet Audrey is now in the UK and is ready for her new home, ideally with an owner who has experience with dogs, and direct access to a garden in a semi-rural area. Audrey is comfortable around other dogs, and pending introductions, could potentially live with a calm male dog. She could be a great companion for families with children aged 12+.

Emma is a 1-2 year old female Spaniel. She is our extra special girl and she has been in our Cyprus Shelter for just one month, having been abandoned on the streets. Emma oozes attributes: she is calm, pleasant, affable and smiley. Emma thoroughly enjoys the company of humans and savours one-to-one attention, a fuss, a lap and a cuddle. Emma walks nicely on her lead and enjoys her time in the car. She seems to mix perfectly well with other dogs, cats and children.

Orla is a 1-2 year old female Cross-Breed. She was rescued on our last mission. She has shown herself to be kind gentle and loving. Orla gets on well with the other dogs and enjoys human company too. Orla will need reward-based training as all rescue dogs do to bring out her full potential. Orla will reward you with a lifetime of love and fun! Leya is a 2-3 year old female Cross-Breed. “I’m looking for a family. Can you help me? I currently live in private foster with my rescuer cerasela but it’s a proper home I want. I am healthy, and happy and have no known allergies or food intolerances. I am friendly with people and live with many other dogs of all sizes. I don’t live with cats or small children. Gabriella is a 2-3 year old female Puli Cross. She is a very loving and affectionate girl. She loves her carers and is always happy. Gabriella gets on well with the other dogs but can and will stand her ground if needs be. We think she would not be able to live with small furries or cats. Gabriella is child-friendly and loves human interaction. She will be your best pal! Gabriella has full RBU, is vaccinated and microchipped, has a passport and is spayed.

Missy is a 2 year old female Bearded Collie Cross. She is quite petite for a collie she weighs just 15kg and is not much bigger than a cocker spaniel. Missy has the energy and the brains of a collie, the herding instinct and drive, but is only 15kg, she is fearless, loves life and will make you laugh constantly with her antics! Missy is happiest when she is causing mayhem in her pack, she is always playing and zooming around the walls and constantly has ants in her pants. Missy is a lively happy little lady who would love a family to play with her and keep her occupied. Missy loves a walk and loves to greet everyone she meets, and absolutely everyone who meets her very quickly falls in love, I mean, she is stunning both inside and out. Missy will need a home with another dog that can keep up with her, ideally multiple dogs so she can take in turns running them ragged, she loves playing and causing trouble with other dogs! Alfie is a 1 year old male Spitz cross Chihuahua. He found himself in the pound, the owners were aware but never came to reclaim him. Alfie was a very scared little lad when he arrived so I dread to think what kind of a life this poor little guy has had to date! Alfie is a typical small dog, in that he isn’t keen on strangers and will bark and grumble at them, once he knows you. Alfie loves you and is a fab little dog, and so handsome! Since his castration he has been a typical happy little puppy in every way, he is full of mischievousness and just wants to play. Alfie can be a bit full-on for older dogs as he doesn’t have an off switch at the moment but the guys he is in foster with, bug and small tolerate him well, he is also absolutely fine with cats. Alfie adores other dogs, especially ones of a similar size to him, he loves to play ball when out in the secure field and loves to chase and play with the other dogs. Meda is a 12 year old male Cross-Breed. This fabulous boy is still full of life and fun, don’t let his age deceive you! Meda loves to play with the other dogs, is interested in everything and is still lively. Friday treats are amongst his favourite things! Meda is child-friendly and loves his human carers too. At his age, he should be in a nice warm and cosy home where he can relax and be adored! If you could give him this we’d love to hear from you!
