Marley – 4 month old male Cross-Breed

Image
Marley is a 4 month old male Cross-Breed. He is currently in a Cyprus foster home, and ready to fly to the UK in May. Handsome boy Marley was found together with his brother Milo at a building site. One of our volunteers had a call about 2 pups that have been dumped and the builders were going to take them away and throw them somewhere. So she went to look for them in the middle of the night and luckily found them. They were only tiny at about 6 weeks old at the time. Marley was the more confident from the start so ran to his rescuer straight away. The pups have been into a few foster homes since then and have blossomed in the recent one. Marley desperately wants the resident dog’s approval but he is just like ”Meh…whatever”. Marley has his favourite little squeaky toy that he walks around with in his mouth and squeaks once in a while, so adorable and quite funny. Marley is lead trained and he has visited the local cafe where he is quite popular. Unfortunately, despite every

Venus – 1 year old female Cross-Breed

Image
Venus is a 1 year old female Cross-Breed. She is currently in Oman. She was born and grew up on the streets of Muscat where a group of volunteers were feeding her and her family. Sadly, last October, the government started a mass cull by shooting the street dogs on sight and Venus disappeared for two weeks. The volunteers feared the worst, but then she miraculously reappeared. Venus was then removed from the streets and went straight into a temporary foster home. She had a great time there and enjoyed the comforts of home life. Venus was then moved to a training and boarding facility where she remains to this day. The trainer has described Venus as a dog who loves people. She craves affection and loves to be cuddled and babied (her temporary foster said the same thing). Venus has medium energy and likes playing with other dogs but she much prefers dogs with a calmer energy. Venus can get irritated by high-energy dogs or puppies. She knows her basic commands and likes agility

Ena – 3 year old female Cross-Breed

Image
Ena is a 3 year old female Cross-Breed. She is a beautiful little girl who is always happy to see you! Ena was thankfully saved from a public shelter and is now looking for her second chance with a new forever home. Ena weighs around 10-12kg so is small-medium in size. Ena is very well-socialised and super friendly with people. Ena has also been introduced to younger children and was similarly fantastic with them. She has been around lots of other dogs and is friendly with them all. Ena has also been around cats with no issues at all. Ena has been introduced to lead walking but it is all still very new to her. Ena is still a bit wary and would need continued work and reassurance to build up her confidence. Ena is currently living in a shelter environment so would also need to be allowed to adjust to all the comforts a home environment can bring. Ena has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and fully health checked by a vet. She is currently in Romania but very ready to travel

Phoenix – 8 year old female Cross-Breed

Image
Phoenix is an 8 year old female Cross-Breed. She came to the shelter in January 2015 after a man approached the shelter asking for help. Phoenix was originally part of a six-puppy litter, but sadly three of that litter had passed away. Although we were full, we couldn’t say no. Phoenix was adopted by a family in the UK in September 2015 and has lived with them for the past seven and a half years. Unfortunately, due to a change in her previous owner’s circumstances, we have been asked to find Phoenix a new home and she has recently arrived in foster care. What a bundle of fun Phoenix is! She’s trusting, exuberant, playful and gentle… and she’s beautiful. Phoenix adores her walks in the countryside – splashing through puddles, having a paddle in ponds and rolling on the grass with sheer happiness. Phoenix is very intelligent and knows many commands, including: ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘roll over’, ‘crawl’ and ‘spin’. She is a lovely dog with lots of love to give. In the evenings she likes to

Chester – 2 year old male Cross-Breed

Image
Chester is a 2 year old male Cross-Breed. He is currently in Romania. He is from Meadow Of Hope Dog Rescue UK. Chester is vaccinated, blood tested, and brucellosis tested ( please note that most U.K. vets are now requiring a further test 3 months after the initial test. Please ask the team for further information). Chester is neutered, microchipped, and flea and worm treated. Sweet little Chester was found abandoned in a field with other dogs. Chester is safe now with bug rescuer Andreea. He spent some time at the vet clinic after initial rescue where he was with cats and dogs with no concerns. Chester is a small boy with a super cute face and a bushy tail. He loves belly tickles and human interaction. He would suit a quiet, calm home ? with someone who can give him all the love he craves.

Reba – 2 year old female Retriever Cross

Image
Reba is a 2 year old female Retriever Cross. She is looking for her forever home. Reba is currently in the East Midlands area. Reba was originally Rescued in Cyprus. She is the most beautiful gentle girl at home. Reba is a princess. She’s a proper sofa loafer and loves her comforts. She gets on well with our dog. Reba gets on OK with one of our cats ( he’s a confident cat)but still chases him at times. At 8.30 pm Reba likes to go into her crate to bed with a bedtime biscuit. Reba sleeps through the night. She barks if someone comes to the door, and jumps up if someone comes in from happiness. Reba is very strong on lead and reactive to things around her, so will need someone strong enough to hold her and continue with her training. Off lead, Reba will run if she sees another dog and she is mostly friendly with them. Her recall is hit and miss mainly miss if she’s distracted by something on her walk. Reba is great in the car and enjoys her rides out. Reba is currently on a lo

Evie – 2 year old female Akita Cross

Image
Evie is a 2 year old female Akita Cross. She is currently located in Nottinghamshire. Evie’s a sweetheart and found herself in need of our help after ending up in the pound as an unclaimed stray. Evie loves fuss and attention and would love a home to call her own. As she wasn’t microchipped. Evie is very responsive and eager to please so this will help with her ongoing training. Evie loves going out for a walk, she does pull a bit to start with but responds well to correction and does settle down. Although Evie is now settled in her kennel she was a little stressed with the environment when she first arrived. With this in mind, we feel she would prefer someone who is around for part of most of the day, she does love being around people. Evie has walked with the other dogs at kennels without fuss but we do not know if she has ever shared a home. We would therefore prefer a home where she could be the only dog and the centre of attention. We would consider a home with a neuter

Jura – 6 month old male Cross-Breed

Image
Jura is a 6 month old male Cross-Breed. He is a lovely chocolate brown pup. His litter were found abandoned and it’s assumed they were treated badly by humans because they were so scared when they arrived. After working with Jura for a while it’s clear that he’ll gain confidence quickly, but the kennel isn’t a great environment for him, he needs a home and someone to convince him that he’ll be treated with love. Jura’s currently in Central Portugal and will be transported to the UK fully vaccinated with an EU pet passport. Please get in touch and we’ll be happy to send more pictures, and videos, or to do a virtual meeting.

Keeping Cats Safe In The Car

Image
Keeping cats safe in the car takes some thought. But whether you’re taking your cat on an adventure or just heading to the vet, it’s worth the effort to make sure they’re comfortable and secure.   Why should dogs have all the fun? Cats also make awesome travel companions. But since fewer people travel with felines, there’s less information out there about keeping cats safe in the car. Hopefully, some of what we’ve learned will make things easier for you and your cat! Safety Restraints In The Car The first question you must answer before traveling together is how you’ll keep your cat safely restrained while you’re on the road. It’s not wise (or fun) to have a cat launch himself into your lap while you’re driving down the highway at 70 miles per hour. You’ll find three main options for keeping your cat contained in the car. Whichever you choose, start acclimating your cat to it well before leaving on a trip. Training a cat to enjoy (or tolerate) traveling in a car can take a

Mirable – 3 month old female Cross-Breed

Image
Mirable is a 3 month old female Cross-Breed. She is currently located in Romania and she is from Meadow Of Hope Dog Rescue Uk. Mirabel is a total delight, extremely adventurous, playful and happy. She was rescued in Romania and can travel to her new home at 4 months old. Mirable will be a big girl at maturity and with that said we are looking for a large breed experienced home with no small children. Mirable will need total support with her training – ongoing socialisation and house training. She needs a home with plenty of space inside and a secure garden area. Mirable would benefit from a home where someone is around most of the time and are actively fit. Puppies are hard work, especially rescue puppies or so please bare this in mind before adoption and do your research about rescue dogs.

Batman – 1 year old male English Setter

Image
Batman is a 1 year old male English Setter. Batman is a cheerful and playful character. He has lots of energy and is full of life. Batman loves to run and is sociable with other dogs although is more comfortable with females. Batman is very affectionate with people and seeks out a fuss whenever he gets the chance! Batman was given up by his hunter in the Basque Country because he wasn’t needed for hunting. Batman arrived at the shelter we work with in North Spain with another Setter and they share a kennel and get along great. Batman was born on 15th December 2021. If you are interested in giving wonderful Batman a home, he is available at Setter Brittany Pointer Rescue. Batman is currently in North Spain but his bag is packed and he is ready to travel to his special home in the UK. Will that be with you??

Ferrero Rocher – 7 month old male Cross-Breed

Image
Ferrero Rocher is a 7 month old male Cross-Breed. He is currently in foster in Reading, UK. Whizzed away from the pound by our rescue team, as he was about to leave the safety of the puppy pens for the adult dogs area. Ferrero has luckily known nothing but kindness and love since. However, he now wants a lovely home, please! This playful boy is happy and healthy and would make the perfect family dog – over 8 for adoption enquiries please as he hasn’t lived with children. His foster home says he is almost doing well with his toilet training (having only been there a week at this point), good at night and is a fast learner but, being a puppy, there is still training to be done. He is someone out there looking for a completely gorgeous cuddle monster?
