Zac – 2 year old male Spaniel Cross

Zac is a 2 year old male Spaniel Cross. He was collected from the streets by the municipal dog wardens in Cyprus and taken the the local shelter. He remained in their care for the required two weeks, in which time we hope the family missing the dog come forward to collect them, but unfortunately as he was never claimed he is now looking for a new forever home.

Zac is a darling boy who is thought to be around two years old. He’s a small sized spaniel mix and we think based on his behaviour in the shelter that he has previously had a home. He is extremely people oriented, very sociable, and adores being in the presence of people.

Living in a highly stressful environment is hard for Zac, and whenever he sees the volunteers or visitors walking past he will stretch his paws out between the bars of the cage as far as he can to try and get them to stroke him. He craves companionship and it’s a shame to see him so desperate for human touch in the shelter, where everyone’s time has to be split among so many needy pups.

Zac is currently sharing his kennel with another young male dog and gets along really well with him. We have also recently noticed that he’s capable of climbing the chainlink fencing into the next pen when he’s bored or trying to get to a person, so his forever home must have a secure, private garden. We think once he’s actually in a home Zac won’t have any desire to scale walls as he’ll have the attention and affection he’s so desperate for.

Zac is looking for a moderately active lifestyle and is confident enough to be rehomed to most environments. He is looking for a family who work from home or are around frequently, as we think he’s likely to suffer from separation anxiety. Zac can be adopted into a household with other dogs as we know him to be very friendly and sociable with them, but he has not been tested with cats.

Zac is good with children and can be adopted into households with children aged 7+. He’s a playful, cheeky, loving and enthusiastic little boy who despite his small size, has a whole lot of love and personality to bring to his new home. Zac is currently in Cyprus and has a clean bill of health. He is ready to travel once he finds his forever home.

Boton is a 5 month old male Basset Fauve de Bretagne Cross. He is the result of another irresponsible litter. We rescued the mother with her babies when they were one month old in Northern Spain. After fighting against parvovirus only 2 babies survived and Botón is one of them. Poor Boton has had some bad luck in his short life… We thought we had found a lovely home for him, and then without so much as an explanation, the prospective adopters disappeared.
