Cain – 5 month old male Cross-Breed

Cain is a 5 month old male Cross-Breed. Alden and he were two of a litter of eight puppies who were thrown over the garden fence of one of the rescuers we support in Bosnia.

Despite arriving as little bundles of fur, they’ve received very little interest because of their typical ‘street dog’ look, but the longer they spend in the shelter the more they come to believe this is their normal. We want the boys to have the opportunity to socialise with other dogs and people, and investigate new environments whilst they’re still young, so they grow up to be confident.

Luckily they are in a shelter which is able to provide lots of love and support as they have many volunteers. Cain and Alden have interacted with many people and made bonds with both adults and children. They have been taught to basics of lead walking and get along with other dogs out in the yard really well.

Their first Christmas was spent in the shelter and the volunteers went out of their way to give them the best day. Luckily they do know what it feels like to be a little spoilt from time to time! Cain and Alden are now around five months old and ready to travel to the UK to meet their new forever families.

They would be best suited to semi-rural homes, as they’ve not been brought up in the city and we think they might find this too overwhelming. They would also benefit from access to their own garden, and a home with someone patient and understanding, who appreciates that it will take time for their new puppy to find their feet in a new environment.

Alden and Cain don’t need to be adopted together and don’t have any special bond, so they are looking for separate homes. They can be adopted alongside other dogs, and they can live with children aged 6+. They don’t have very much experience with cats and like any puppy, they will need basic training and continued socialisation to help them be the best versions of themselves as adults.
