Image
Clyde is a 5 year old male Labrador Cross. He is a rescue from Cyprus currently living with his sister, who was rescued at the same time, near Doncaster. Following a change in their family’s circumstances and through no fault of their own they both need to find a new forever home. Here is a little about Clyde. Clyde and his sister Bonnie were 5 months old when they flew to the UK. They have lived happily together ever since. Clyde is quite a calm and playful dog with a good personality around all people. He loves being out an about on his walks. Neither have lived with cats and both are fully house trained will always let you know when they need out. Any children in their new home would need to be older as when they play, they could knock a young child down. Clyde just loves to be with his family. Clyde also loves being with his sister Bonnie. Ideally, we would love to find them a home together. They really will make a perfect ready-made doggy family for their new humans. If we c...

Is Cat Food Okay for Dogs?

Image
Having cats and dogs in a similar family can be fulfilling. You’ll appreciate two times as much love and friendship. Additionally, it’s normal for dogs and cats to become companions. Nonetheless, there are times when having a dog and a cat under a similar rooftop can be tested. They’re probably going to have an infrequent disagreement or two. Besides, a few dogs are crafty and will chow on your cat’s food, prompting a despondent cat. Shouldn’t something be said about your dog? Is there any damage in allowing your dog to nibble on cat food? The response may shock you.   Cat Food, Dog Food – What’s the Difference? A few dogs will eat anything. Assuming you have a dog-like that, you’ll presumably think that it is hard to get them far from your cat’s food dish. There are a few remarkable contrasts in the manner cat and dog food are planned. Permitting your dog to feast unchecked out of your catlike’s bowl could cause some medical problems. For a certain something, cats are comm...

Chase – 11 month old male Cross-Breed

Image
Chase is an 11 month old male Cross-Breed. He is learning to walk nicely on the lead and is making good progress with this. He can be left for short periods of time but needs to be the only animal in the house with no children. The handsome Chase loves fuss and attention once he gets to know you. He is becoming used to other dogs and can walk out quite happily with one which is calm and friendly. He is nervous of new people but once he makes friends with you, he really does enjoy a bit of a fuss. He is relaxed with staff at the kennels. Chase loves his treats and responds well to these. Chase has not had the benefit of adequate socialisation. A potential adopter will need to make a number of visits in order to gain Chase‘s trust and to work with staff. Chase has a lot of love and potential – he just needs the right person to bring this out. We are looking for someone with experience of this type of dog.

Eva and Kale – 4 month old male and female Labradors

Image
Eva and Kale are 4 month old male and female Labradors. Currently in foster in Mauritius at All Life Matters Animal Sanctuary. Available to reserve and can travel to the U.K. in February. The siblings were found in a box on the road with their other siblings. Unfortunately some of the others died and luckily some of the others have been adopted on the island. They were brought into the sanctuary by some tourists. Both pups are very friendly and playful. They are always so pleased to see visitors to the sanctuary for cuddles and love. They are walked daily on leash but will still need training as young pups do with routine and patience. They have been cat tested but obviously haven’t lived with cats. They are okay with dogs of all ages at the sanctuary however all introductions to unfamiliar dogs when in the U.K. will need to be slow and careful. They have been tested with children so families with children aged 6 and over considered. Due to the pups originally being for adoptio...

Fred and BamBam – 18-24 month old male and female Cross-Breed

Image
Fred and BamBam is a 18-24 month old male and female Cross-Breed. They are sister and brother however from different litters. Fred is around 18 to 24 months and BamBam is around 6 to 9 months. They were strays at the Ambre hotel in Mauritius with their mum but unfortunately mum has disappeared and we presume destroyed (picture with mum is the last photo and this was taken not long before Christmas by a guest). Another guest contacted me whilst staying at the hotel about the other ambre mum and pups but mentioned Fred and BamBam and I recognised them from the photos the previous guest had sent before Christmas. BamBam had become very used to guests and sleeping in their rooms and this was causing problems at the hotel. Because we know that once these guests left the hotel would arrange for these two dogs to disappear the decision was made to rescue the dogs. Lorena Gaus, some of the guests and I decided to get them to ALM and find them homes in U.K. They are both very friendly dog...

He loves his daily walks, however although he is a young pup he is a lazy boy who loves to relax and spend his time doing nothing! He is a calm boy who just wants his own family, a comfy bed or sofa and lots of love. He loves to play with the other dogs of all ages and has been cat tested but hasn’t lived with cats. He has been child tested and will make a great family dog however he finds screaming and shouting scary so no very young children. Taking Your Dog To Pet Friendly Restaurants

Image
Before taking your dog to pet friendly restaurants, teach him some manners. It will make dining out a more pleasant experience for you both!   One of the biggest challenges people face when traveling with their pets is figuring out where to eat. Leaving pets in cars – especially in the summer – can be dangerous. But the thought of taking a dog that acts more like a dingo to pet friendly restaurants isn’t ideal either. Whether you have a pup who’s just learning his dining manners, or working with an older or reactive dog, these tips will help you teach your dog to behave at restaurants. Start Training At Home The first rule of being a good dog owner is knowing your pup. So, if your pooch isn’t ready for prime time, don’t put him on the main stage! Begin by working with your dog at home. With our puppy, Myles, we started by teaching him to lay on his mat while we ate. A toy, stuffed with his food and frozen overnight, kept his attention while we finished our meal. ...
