We were reminded of that recently when Myles was attacked by another dog. We were only a few blocks from our house on a lovely Saturday morning walk when a dog charged down the driveway of the home we were passing and bit Myles in the shoulder and elbow. Mily is a 4 month old female Cross-Breed who was found in a cemetery in Romania as a tiny baby with her 5 siblings and rescued by the lovely lady we work with out there. Sadly, the pups all caught distemper, and 2 of the 6 did not survive. For some reason, these little souls were overlooked by all the other rescues, and as a result, have spent the first year of their lives living in a stable. When we were asked to take them, the answer was obviously yes, as despite their initial shyness, these pups are just perfect! Mily is definitely the most confident of the group and is always the first to welcome any visitors! She has the most amazing smile and just loves attention from anyone! Mily is neutered, fully vaccinated to UK standards, and although already tested for brucellosis in Romania, she will have a second UK laboratory test before being rehomed (as some UK vets will not accept the results of the Romanian test). Snow is a 1 year old male Bullbreed Cross, medium in size with a slim, leggy body. He came into our care from the inspectors after having been locked in a flat and hardly walked. Snow is only an adolescent dog and is very friendly to people, a bit daft and goofy. He can be boisterous but does seem to know some basic commands, will sit very politely, and walks nicely on the lead. He can be mouthy when he gets excited, so this habit will need to be discouraged in his new home by redirecting him onto toys, for example. Snow is very interested in other dogs on walks and has never reacted badly towards them. He could possibly live with another dog who would be tolerant of an excitable young dog. He could possibly live with children of secondary school age and has shown a tendency to want to chase cats, so a cat-free home would be best. Drew is a medium sized male crossbreed aged around eight to nine years old. Drew is fostered in Norwich, Norfolk. Drew has come into our care recently from The Botosani public shelter in Romania where he has been for the past two years. Drew is a sweet old gent who mixes well with other dogs but could also live as an only dog happily. He could live with respectful children aged seven plus. Drew is a very affectionate boy who loves a cuddle and adores walks. He’s just an amiable old chap who isn’t an ounce of bother to anyone.
