Yeti – 4 year old female Pug

Yeti is a 4 year old, fawn, neutered female Pug.

Yeti came in to the rescue as her owner was unable to afford to care for her properly. When she arrived, she was covered in fleas, under weight and had a UTI that had been left untreated for a long time.

Yeti now has a full bill of health and is ready for a new home!

Yeti is a fun little girl! We feel she would be better suited to a home with children over the age of 8, this is only because she gets so excited when she get attention that she may inadvertently head butt a small child and she will match the child’s energy.

Yeti is great with other dogs out and about, in the home she can be a little dominant. If she goes to a home with another dog, the dog would need to be a laid back character. Yeti has mild food aggression, however this is only with high reward items and only when another dog tries to take them. There is zero aggression with humans.

Due to Yeti’s long term UTI, when she arrived she was unable to hold her urine for a long period of time, this has massively improved and she now can be left for up to 3 hours with another dog for company.

We also feel that Yeti would be ok as an only dog, as long as she had dog playmates she could meet up with we feel she would be happy. Yeti has not lived as an only dog, so any new owner would need to be aware that they would not be able to leave her for 3 hours straight away.

This would need to be built up slowly over time.

Yeti is good with cats, horses, sheep, goats, cows and donkeys, she travels well in the car and is a poppet out and about, she likes visiting

Beaulieu for lunch and visiting the gift shop to get treats from the lady from behind the till.

We would recommend that anyone who takes Yeti on, to complete a basic puppy course of training, this will help you bond and make sure you are both on the same page with commands.

The rough monthly costs of owning Yeti are as follows:

Insurance £49
Vet Care Plan (This covers flea treatment, worming and vaccinations) £18
Food (Yeti is currently on Orijen, it is important for this breed to have a good quality diet) £30
Treats £10
Total £107 a month roughly.

Yeti is fully vaccinated, micro chipped, neutered, up to date with all flea treatment and wormer and comes with 5 weeks free insurance.
