Idris – 6 month old male Cross-Breed

Idris is a male crossbreed puppy born in January of 2024. A mixture of breeds and with those big ears he may have a bit of donkey in him!! He is in foster near Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire.

Please give a moment to Idris.

We first met Idris when he was living under some concrete steps of an apartment building. He was with his sister and they were only two months old. Sadly the little girl was lost to Parvo but Idris was spared and did not contract the disease.

From his foster mum

Within 24 hours we all had fallen for Idris. He is a little goofball who is all legs… he is loving the garden, the new smells and his favourite sport is chasing flies. He is very food oriented (to be expected) which helps with training. He is already learning to sit and wait.

He is very confident with our other dogs, wanting to play.. but he is doggy aware and will leave them alone when they tell him off. He also doesn’t seem bothered by our cats. He is already toileting in the garden but will need continued focus in this area.

We travelled 2 hours in the car after collecting him and he was very settled and just slept. Crate training is going well and he already knows that’s his safe space and will go in there for a nap.

Idris is confident in the house but on walks is a little nervous about people… we are working on that and this will need to be continued… but his lead walking is amazing.. no pulling and trots nicely by your side

He’s an intelligent little lad… already is sitting, waiting for his food and learning to settle… He’s very loving and just melts into you for cuddles… He’s a trusting little boy considering the start he has had in life and he has taken to us all so well.

A little goofy ball of fun and love who will be a great addition to any house

Idris comes with full rescue back up. Adoption donation and home check apply.

Please note, we are unable to consider for adoption for Idris:

  • People with children under 5 years old
