Tonya – 8 month old female Cross-Breed
Tonya is a 8-month-old female cross breed medium size dog.
This young lady is still on the search for her forever home where she can be spoiled with all the love. Tonya is a beautiful medium sized eight month old female who really is a bundle of happiness.
And She is a wonderful girl who enjoys life especially any water activities, Tonya would happily spend all day in her doggy paddling pool in any weather, rain or shine!
Her foster mum says “she’s a super, typical puppy, ready for her new family. Someone with experience of dogs who have a disability would be brilliant for her”.
Before she was rescued, Tonya lost one eye but has well adjusted. She relies on her peripheral vision so any adopter would need to be aware of this. She’s an amazing girl who enjoys going to her local coffee shop where she loves getting all the treats from the cafe owners and sharing a sausage roll with the regulars.
She rewards them by putting her paws on their knees (she is fantastic with meeting new people)! Tonya is also very good with little one and plays super well with her fosters grandchildren but may better suited to a home with older children as she could possibly knocked them over during play.
Tonya walks well on a lead and even went for her first bus trip this morning, she was a total star and laid down by her foster mums feet! She can be a little reactive to other dogs she meets on her walks but this tends to be small dogs that are barking at her.
Tonya is great with her foster doggy siblings and can be homed with a resident dog but slow introductions at her pace are suggested. She is housetrained, crate trained, can be left, good with cats and sleeps through the night until you wake her for morning cuddles.
Tonya may guard her safe space if other dogs get too close to it. Her safe space at the moment is the kitchen where her crate is so we would suggest in her forever home, her crate is in a room with less main house traffic.
However, she does happily go into her crate if you tell her it’s bedtime. Tonya also likes to be fed separately from other dogs and she gets worried they may come over and steal her food.
She is fully vaccinated and microchipped. Tonya hasn’t yet been spayed so potential adopter must be willing to do this. She has a heart which is so full of love, fun and happiness whos ready to find a family of her own, Tonya is in foster in Surrey.
