Image
Orso, a 1.5-year-old male dog, is a charming small to medium-sized cross breed weighing approximately 12kg. With his soft fluffy coat and distinctive blue tongue, it’s believed that Orso may have Chow Chow ancestry, lending him a bear-like appearance that matches his name, which means “bear” in Italian. Orso’s inviting smile and friendly nature make him irresistible, and he’s eager to shower his future family with love and happiness. This handsome boy is not only affectionate with people but also enjoys the company of other dogs, having made a few doggy friends already. Boone – 11 month old male Cross-Breed

Image
Boone is a goofy cross breed boy and almost 11 months old. He is quite a big boy at 25kgs and is in foster care in the UK. Boone is full of character and energy and is just the most amazing boy. In the house… he’s super sweet and loves his cuddles but will take himself off for some downtime so he isn’t in your face all the time. Boone is very bright and clever and needs games or puzzles to keep his mind occupied he has a tendency to get very mischievous and sometimes a bit destructive if he’s bored, and so stimulation and good exercise are an absolute necessity. He has lived with older children (10+) he would be fine with younger children but due to his size and his boisterous, playful nature may be a little overwhelming for some children. Boone has also lived with other dogs and cats. Out on walks, he is amazing, very good on and off the lead and very friendly and playful. Some work is needed on recall when other dogs are around but in general, he’s excellent. In seeking his

Hattie – 16 month old female Cross-Breed

Image
Hattie is approximately 16 months old medium sized female cross breed. Hattie is a very self-sufficient dog who amuses herself easily. She is timid and ignorant of new people and will require multiple visits until she is comfortable around potential new adopters. When she does know you she will show affection and can be very loving. Hattie will look to you for reassurance. She loves some dogs but not all. Hattie can live with or without another dog. Any resident dog will need to be medium to large in size and be a confident and balanced dog. Hattie is a dog that likes to be involved in what’s happening and wouldn’t suit a home where she will be left for long periods. Hattie will need to get gradually used to being left. Ideally, a home where she is actively involved in what is going on would be better suited for her. Also, a home that is experienced in having dogs – Hattie is not suitable for first-time dog owners. Hattie can live with children 8 years plus. No cats. A lovely

Sully – 2 year old male Chihuahua

Image
Sully is a 2 year old male Chihuahua. This boy’s super sweet, he’s slightly nervous and can typically be a bit noisy about his feelings but with a confident handler he will settle and warm to people quite quickly. Super affectionate little lap dog, he would suit someone who’s around a lot and doesn’t mind a little shadow. Equally, he can be very active, loves his walks and zoomies, is super playful with toys and will enjoy the outdoors with you as long as you please. Sully can be nervous about new dogs and can resource guard me against my dogs at times, but never follows through with this and does listen when either myself or the other dogs correct him. He has built his confidence with my dogs massively over the past couple of weeks during his assessment and has started to want to play with other dogs albeit he doesn’t quite understand social etiquette too well yet. He is honestly such a sweet boy and I’ve really fallen for him, he’s absolutely tiny and delicate too. Simply a

Like her sisters Blossom and Asia, Aurora is a loving and affectionate pup, eagerly awaiting a family to call her own. With her joyful and playful nature, Aurora embodies the essence of puppyhood, bringing happiness and excitement wherever she goes. Aurora gets along well with other dogs, making her a great fit for households with or without furry companions. However, being a young pup, she will require ongoing puppy training to help her develop into a well-mannered and balanced adult dog. Despite her youth, Aurora is already fully vaccinated and microchipped, ensuring she’s ready for the adventures that lie ahead. It’s essential to note that Aurora hasn’t been spayed yet due to her age, but any potential adopter must be prepared to take on this responsibility. Spaying is crucial for her health and well-being, as well

Blossom – 4 month old female Cross-Breed

Blossom, a 4-month-old female medium to large cross breed, is another delightful member of the Fairy sisters, captivating hearts with her beauty and charm. Like her sister Asia, Blossom is a bundle of love, yearning for a family to call her own. With her happy, affectionate, and playful nature, Blossom embodies the essence of a typical puppy, bringing joy and laughter wherever she goes. Blossom gets along well with other dogs, making her a perfect fit for households with or without canine companions. However, being a young pup, she will require ongoing puppy training to help her grow into a well-behaved and balanced adult dog. Despite her tender age, Blossom is already fully vaccinated and microchipped, ensuring she’s ready for the adventures that lie ahead. It’s important to note that Blossom hasn’t been spayed yet due to her age, but any potential adopter must be prepared to undertake this responsibility. Juna – 1 year old female Cross-Breed

Image
Juna is a 1 year old female cross-breed, born on 3rd May 2023. She has been spayed and is fully vaccinated. Juna, along with her sibling Fina, came into the care of SRS after being rescued from a forest where they were abandoned by their other littermates. Despite being the largest of the litter, Juna and Fina have yet to find a loving home, unlike their adopted siblings. Prior to their arrival at SRS, they spent their entire lives in a stable, and now, these sisters are yearning for freedom and a family to call their own. Having lived with other dogs at SRS, Juna has shown a playful nature, particularly enjoying the company of Rory, a fellow canine companion matching their size. The sisters are typical playful pups in need of families ready to invest time and effort in their training, including lead, house, and recall training. While they have not been tested with cats, they have demonstrated compatibility with other dogs. Juna and Fina currently lack basic training, such as wal

Ruby – 3 year old female German Shepherd Cross

Image
Ruby is a three-year-old female German Shepherd cross. She is an intelligent and energetic girl who absolutely loves cuddles or tummy rubs. Ruby is great with visitors to the house and enjoys any attention she can get from a real cuddle bug. She enjoys her food, and likes being outside but does need quiet time indoors to rest as she is always on high alert and her humans! Ruby can be left, housetrained, spayed and walks on the lead. She walks well on a lead but has a high prey drive meaning she will follow her nose and needs continued training on this. She can therefore suddenly pull if you are not paying attention and is quite strong (this has improved significantly with consistent training via a dog walker), a long line has been used successfully on her walks and she responds well to training, consistency is important. Once her prey instincts kick in her limited recall becomes nonexistent so a lead is essential at all times. Ruby needs a home that can offer her plenty of st

Gracie – 5 month old female Pointer Cross

Image
Gracie is one of our stunning female pointer cross puppies, almost 5 months old and in foster in Tyne and Wear. Since arriving in the UK about 10 days ago, Gracie has learnt so much and she is now affectionately known as the puppycino lover. This is what her foster mum has to say about our beautiful puppy – Gracie is an absolutely adorable little puppy, she gets on really well with my dog and loves running around playing, she’s rarely without a toy and has a special attachment to socks! She sits for her treats and food and toilet training is coming along nicely. She sleeps in her crate at night and after a couple of moans (literally a minute) she settles all night. She’s getting braver on walks and enjoys being carried some of the way. She’s definitely a lapdog and loves her snugs, she’s very affectionate and loving. I do have a cat but I’d say she’s probably better off in a cat free home as she does like to playfully chase him We are now ready to find Gracie her very own f

Iza – 11 year old female Cross-Breed

Image
Iza is an 11 year old female Cross-Breed. She must live in a dog and pet-free home. Before coming to our rescue Iza had spent her entire life living in a shelter. She had been rescued as a puppy (along with her brother) by a well-meaning rescuer, but 8 years later was still sitting in a pen having never known much social interaction. As a result, she arrived with us as a very timid little thing. Over time her confidence has grown and she is now an absolute delight. She loves a good fuss and cuddle and despite being much smaller than her brother, she definitely is the boss out of the two. She is a friendly lady and is happy with new people pretty quickly after being introduced and she really loves to snuggle. She will need work on lead training so her family will need a secure home and garden to begin her training. If you can offer her love, comfort, and patience we would really like to hear from you.

Primrose – 2 year old female Labrador Retriever Cross

Image
Primrose is a two-year-old female Labrador retriever cross, estimated to have been born in February 2022. She resides at the Nicosia Sanctuary. She’s one of the dogs that we rescued from the village pound in February and she’s just awesome! We first met Primrose in November when we visited the village pound. Unfortunately, we didn’t have room to take her then and we couldn’t believe how much weight she’d lost in that time. But she was still the same loving, sweet girl and she was so happy to have her own large kennel at the sanctuary. Primrose is a really affectionate dog. She loves it when we sit on the floor with her and always comes for a cuddle. She’s also quite an active, playful dog and will enjoy long walks and playtime. From what we’ve seen so far, Primrose gets on with other dogs and, with careful introductions, should be able to join a home with another resident dog. This gorgeous girl is still so young and has so much to offer! We can’t wait to see her enjoying l

Pluto – 2-3 year old male Hound Cross

Image
Our Extra Special boy, Pluto, is we believe, two to three years old and a medium size hound cross. Pluto has been in our Cyprus Shelter for about four months, having been found abandoned on the streets. Pluto sounds like an absolute gem! It’s heart-warming to hear that despite his past experiences, Pluto maintains such a lovely character. Our Shelter Manager describes Pluto as kind, calm, gentle and loving. It is wonderful that Pluto seems to get along well with other animals and children. This versatility makes him a great fit for a variety of households. Pluto is a strikingly good-looking boy, with his tri-colour coat, handsome face, wonderful ears and an array of freckles. https://www.dogsblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/VID-20240411-WA0001.mp4 His ability to walk nicely on a lead is definitely a plus, making him even more appealing. With his kind and calm nature, Pluto seems like he would make a fantastic addition to any home where he is loved and cherished. If you

Arturo – 6 year old male Cross-Breed

Image
Hello everyone, my name is Arturo. I am a 6-year-old male cross breed dog, born in March 2018, with a small size of around 9 kgs. Miraculously, back in 2018, when I was just a puppy, my little brother and I were found and swept away to the safety of a kennel. I’m now in a foster home in Stowmarket, and waiting for my family I’m an adorable little dog, incredibly sweet, and I thrive on human contact. Plus, I get along well with other dogs, and I’m happy to be tested with cats if needed. I have beautiful brown shining eyes, a sweet and well-behaved nature that will fill your heart with joy. Regular walks, play time and cuddles with people will truly show off my adorable and sweet temperament. I would be suited to an environment where he can enjoy outside space to play and receive daily exercise and as I get along with other dogs, and who knows, even cats, a home already with pets would be great but not essential! Are you interested in making me a part of your family foreve

Dyno is a 2-3 year old female Bull Lurcher

Image
Dyno is on the search for her adoptive home, could that be you? Dyno is a 2-3 year old female Bull Lurcher. Dyno came into our care after being picked as a stray, she was covered in injuries that linked to her being used for badger baiting, very sad. She was very thin, very tired and just wanted peace. Since being with us she has made excellent progress, she is now in full health and looks wonderful! Dyno is very very soft and loving, she just wants to please you. She is a huge foodie so to make a bond with Dyno is very easy. She is a good girl with other dogs but cannot be near small dogs or any small furries! Dyno would make a fabulous addition to someone’s home, she would need a secure garden so she can run freely and safely. She hasn’t lived in a home before so would need some help to adapt but we truly believe this won’t be an issue and she will most definitely lap up all the love and attention. Do you have space on your sofa for a beautiful girl? Dyno says she can most

Dinks and Penny – 18 month old male and female Cocker Spaniels Cross Pug

Image
Dinks & Penny are 18 month old brother & sister Spaniel x Pugs being fostered in Gloucestershire in an adult family home with cats and dogs. These two lovely dogs are a bonded pair that came into our care because of personal reasons they were very loved where they came from and a devasting decision for their previous owner who had them since puppies. Since being in our care the pair have settled very easily into their new foster family’s life, settling down with the resident humans, dogs and cats with no issues. With the cat in the garden With the fur foster family and visiting friend Penny worrying about Dinks having a groom It’s very much evident they will need to be homed together although not completely reliant on each other they are confident happy dogs but they do share a strong friendship and will sleep together and are often cuddled up with each other.
