Malvern & Maritta – 3-6 year old male and female Cross-Breeds

Malvern & Maritta are 3-6 year old male and female Cross-Breeds. They are a very bonded pair who are ideally looking for a forever home where they can stay together.

They were sadly someone’s pet but were then abandoned in Romania and ended up in a horrible kill shelter.

Thankfully they were saved by a rescuer and travelled to a foster home in the UK. These two adore people and are very happy to snuggle on the sofa and soak up all the love and fuss on offer.

They have shown no issues with welcoming visitors into the home, these get the same happy welcome. This cheeky pair are full of energy and at certain points of the day have mad zoomy times around the garden.

However they are quick to wind down as well, they are crate trained and can be left for several hours with no issues. Malvern (grey and white) is the more outgoing of the pair. He walks well on a lead although can be a little spooked by loud noises.

He can jump up a bit when he is so excited to his foster is working on rewarding him when all four paws are back on the floor!

He is very keen on his treats which is helping with ongoing training, he is a very quick learner. Maritta (white) is a little more timid and follows Malvern around like a shadow, gaining so much confidence from him.

She originally took a little more convincing to go on walks but is fast realising this leads to exploring lots of lovely smells.

She can be a little nervous about loud noises or traffic but can be helped with some food to keep moving. Both get on well with other dogs, however, they did take a little time to settle with the larger dogs in the fosterer home.

With correct introductions and time to build some bonds, we are sure they would integrate into a home with resident dogs. Although they have not been cat tested, their fosterer similarly thinks with slow and careful introductions they could live with cats.

Malvern and Maritta love their food and do tend to steal each other’s if not supervised, so separate feeding areas would probably be best to ensure each gets their fair share.

Both are neutered/spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and have been fully health checked by a vet. They have had a lot of their fur shaved recently due to being left in a matted way, however, this is fast growing back to reveal their beautiful coats.

Malvern & Maritta are being fostered in Nottingham and are very ready to find their new home. We are hoping somebody has a spot in their hearts for this snuggly duo.
